- There are no words, only deeds.
A flower sprouts, amongst the weeds.
Though father time's scythe is sharp,
A mans resolve beneath thy tarp.
With sticks and mud, stones and clay,
Despite adversity, I came to play.
Amongst the wilds, proud and true,
I built this hut, for me and you.
Together we bore, lows and highs,
And occasional chaffing between thy thighs.
We learnt, we laughed, we drank, we ate,
Much pleasure gained, there's no debate.
And as with life, this year must end,
To you, my viewer, much love I send.
Thank you with all my heart, from myself and my family to all of the growing 'Alex Does' family.
You have all shown such great support throughout this year, 2021.
I truly appreciate each and every one of you.
I wish you all the best for Christmas and the remainder of this year.
I look forward to seeing you in 2022.

I have just binge watched your videos on this fab project. Congratulations. It was brilliant. You must be so proud of yourself. Not just for the solo build but also the work it must take to video it all. I know it was a couple of years ago now but I hope you are doing well and I hope you share another project sometime. Ps you say the best “yum” I have ever heard. 🤣

There is a good variety of simple to make outdoor ovens etc. simple tandoori is just a hole in the ground like your clay pit..

I haven't seen the whole series on this build but what I've seen I have enjoyed. So thanks Alex for all of your hard work. Doing the work is hard enough, capturing it all on video makes it even more difficult. Have a great Christmas mate.

Just occurred to me; since you are sourcing the mud around the outside walls it will naturally leave the floor on higher ground and assist with runoff, duh !!!

Cheers Duke, yep that was the idea, trying to improve the drainage...plus less distance to travel from mud making to wall.

you can see the difference between aussie wood and the wood up in Alaska cant you they would have had to keep getting up to stoke the fire and here we have to put it out the next day the wood burns so slowly
