This video is raw footage of a Con Edison crew of distribution splicers repairing underground electrical equipment inside of a manhole near Union Square in Manhattan.

My father was a Con Edison Splicer in the 1960s/70s and died from a non work related illness on Christmas eve when I was a boy! We lived in Woodside Queens and I get emotional every Christmas and just looked up Con Edison Splicer... So thanks for sharing this video of what my Dad did for a living!!

Lol yeah its your pull string, there are no stripped for 2/0 like that, you have to use a knife to to cut the insulation away, then your pull string to help separate it.
