Where to begin. Articulate timing, superb fills, awesome foot control, just a natural feel that is envious of all of us that have been playing for decades. Just a real treat to watch --and always smiling while kicking VERY serious ASS!!
Fifty years ago (1967) I would save my yen and go to Yokohama and hit on all the jazz bars for the Kirin beer and that magical Japanese jazz. I wish I could do that again, and hear these folks live. My bucket list would almost be complete.
One of the best trios ever in my time. You can react any which way you wish to this incredibly engaging tune: dance to it, revive head-banging or just stand still eyes closed. And it still would get you moved and moving. Senri's closing was simply superb; as were her two soul-mates right from the first notes.👏👏👏
I love musical talent. It is absolutely color blind, race blind. Doesn't care about religion or gender or nationality. It swoops around the World and totally at random it finds a crib to land in.
Freak of nature? Well, I understand you mean it as a compliment, but what I see is somebody who absolutely adores the drums and is fully dedicated to her craft. That’s years and years and years of practice and devotion that we’re seeing. She’s kept up the struggle where many of us would have simply given in and it’s paid off to great effect. And yes, she clearly has a natural talent as well, but it’s been heavily refined through teaching, patience and practice. I have nothing but respect for Senri, we could all do with being a bit more like her.
I understand what you mean, she's unreal. How can someone so young be so talented (and she has been since a very young age). It's her feel for the music that's so amazing.
What I really love about you is that you are a jazz drummer with a rock feeling. Many jazz drummers are too funky or too gentle, you really punish your kit elegantly.

These women are the musical version of Titty streamers A-Yeon is a korean model "singer"/"drummer" and she's a prime example of this.
