Awesome talk! Pastor Wolfmueller, the book chapters you read were a great encouragement. Brought me to tears. I will share this!

I absolutely love these Q and A sessions. Admittedly, though, one of my favorite parts is the little joke that Pastor Wolfmueller always says at the start. This 'Do you even lift, bro?' is in the top ten.😂

Please, don't encourage him. It only makes it worse. 😂

I heard it once said that, to be a Christian is actually to be fully human. In the resurrection, we will see that even more so.

I grew up in the Philippines and was baptized and eventually confirmed as a Catholic. Decades later, I became a confessional Lutheran.
Being a Filipina Catholic in the Philippines meant seeing gatherings at grave sites for All Saints. Sometimes meals would be had there. Other times meals would be at the homes.
From my limited experience as/among Lutherans, there is little discussion of All Saints apart from the chimes rung that Day if someone has passed that year.
I think that may be rooted in US modernity and our general distance from/fear of death. We are not really a society familiar with, say, losing children in early years, having wakes at home, dressing our own dead before the funeral, etc. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm sure it--along with our human drive to keep death afar--is why we may not celebrate All Saints in the manner some places do.
As an aside, I do think there is danger in some of those observances possibly being twisted to celebrate the macabre.

At the resurrection, do we not become truly holy beings able to stand in front of our Lord? What need do we have of personality?

Thank you so much for this encouragement! I have a question that you sort of answered, but I might as well ask: will Adam and Eve be in heaven, in hell, or don’t we know? You seem to confirm that Adam and Eve will be in heaven, but I was wondering if we know one way or the other.

1 John 3 is about as far as I think scripture will let us speculate on our presence in eternal life; going further leads to annaihilationism.
