You and Cameraman Ron (RIP) convinced me to go with Mako when I finally break down and get a boat. I'm just going to be hitting lakes but don't want a bass boat and definitely like the pro skiff prices better.
Do you have any videos showing the exact products you use to protect everything? Thanks for these awesome vids helping new aspiring owners like myself.
You can do your own 100 hour service without voiding the warranty, and the 20 hour one as well, the dealers trick you into thinking it will void the warranty if you dont, my dealer did my 20 hour service and fucked it up, not once but twice by not filling the lower unit with enough gear oil, the easiest thing to do and they blew it twice, unreal.
I did the 20 myself as well as lower unit. But according to Mercury as I called them they said it was mandatory to have a licensed through mercury do the maintenance. But I'm not worried about it. I'll probably just do it myself anyways
You know I looked at that but the way the trailer is designed it actually won't work from I seen. It the needs to rest on top of the front rollers and not against because the trailer will actually flex/bend pretty bad.
The skiffs a step up without paying 80 k on a bass boat I buy used anyway I think the cc rides dryer and handles chop a lot better on bad days on the lake I don’t see bass boats out there
Honestly I love both. Obviously the skiff is cheaper so there's a big plus. The LTS takes choppy water better though (cuts right through) but has more electronics which turns to more issues down the road. But either way they're both MAKO and that's enough for me. But if I had the choice for either I would choose the skiff just cuz I like simplicity
WOW at 5:40 min did you even see that black widow spider? I'm glad you didn't get bit 😱

Awesome deal. Let me know how it goes

@@hab-outdoors Oh boy I'm screwed then lol I swear I spoke to a mercury rep about it, maybe I heard wrong 🙄
@@Carnivorefitness2024gotta always check their work haha
I'm surprised you have modified the front trailer bunks with some carpeted 2x4s stoppers
You know I looked at that but the way the trailer is designed it actually won't work from I seen. It the needs to rest on top of the front rollers and not against because the trailer will actually flex/bend pretty bad.
What size is that clear roller on the front? I'd like to replace mine with the same.
4"
@@hab-outdoors thank you!!!
Looks like that model and the Carolina skiff looks pretty close
They’re a little similar
Did you ever put a hose on the front livewell?
Sure did. It was packed full of silicone drom the hose "T" and drains in about 3 days
@@hab-outdoors what kind of hose did you put on? Are you able to put a garden hose nozzle on
@Flipmob49 oh are you talking about me upgrading to a sprayer?
What made you get a mako instead of a Catalina skiff?
Price and I've always liked the mako inshore boats
Where did you sorce that Hr. Meter?
Actually purchased it at the dealer. But they are pretty common

How do u compare the 17 with the LTS?
