- What's up guys! In this video, we will try to figure out if 7.8 million pesos is a reasonable price for a flagpole. This flagpole is called the Independence Flagpole which is located near Rizal Monument in Rizal Park, Manila, Philippines.

in our place there it is the two (2) P5 Million each Male-Female public toilet without water and electricity along a highway build by DPWH in 2018, is it justifiable and reasonable cost? as experts estimates it only cost P100K each

Solid flagpole is not as flexible or resilient as hallow. It's also heavier.

Did you discuss what type of steel they are using? Stainless steel? What about the motor? How much can it pull? How many horsepower? Drivebelt is made of what? It’s a heavier flag so what type of rope being used? It’s probabaly bigger, stronger and more expensive than before. Because it’s taller the base must be deeper and bigger. Because it’s bigger taller and heavier, it may require more manpower and equipment to install this flag pole. Also longer work hours. May need to construct housing for the motorized pulley for it to last longer.
Then how about 15Million Bathroom without a room huh
With 15Million you can buy alr a good big house with so many toilets
Nabanggit kung anong klaseng bakal. Sa Hong Kong ginawa yang flagpole, plus syempre logistics at installation costs pa. For sure nakabaon talaga yan, mahaba din yan sa ilalim.

usually naman kasi half ng total budget sa isang civil project ay napupunta sa labor cost lalo na kung via bidding yung labanan. So kung yung total price palang ng materials is almost half na agad ng project cost then I think reasonable na agad yan.

Ang Cauldron po ay gawa ng isang kilalang Pinoy artist, pag bibilhin mo gawa nila talagang mahal yun kasi pwede sila mag presyo hanggang sa gusto nila.

Sabihin nating hollow pero nd pde na magkakaparehas ng thickness galing sa baba pataas...Sa taas na yan sasayaw yan o mababali pag may bagyo (Obserbahan mo ang poste ng kuryente an parang yero na binabali sa bagyo. Isipin mo din ang labor cost sir. Para ka ding nagpapabahay... bigyan ka ng ganyan kataas na Pole + yung watawat natin na heavy duty Kontratahin mo ng half the price.. Tapos tayo mo ng mag isa..
45percent labor, semento and RSB, rentals ng heavy equiptment. iba kasi ang labor ng mechanical at skilled works. for me nasa 6-7 million

For me straightforward naman pagexplain nya,
Volume (shortcut, di na naexplain based on height and diameter)-> Density (based on Q304 Steel) -> Weight from cubic feet to lbs. Then from lbs to tons (based on density) -> Then costing based on weight (weight/$) from dollars to pesos. Maybe you have to watch it again or write it down...:)
More on conversions... for us we call it "dimensional analysis"...

Dapat ang computation nya ng density ng flagpole ay in hollow form para lalo tayong magkaroon ng idea. Tubelike kasi ang mga pole. Katulad lng yan ng mga power line post ng NPGC na nakikita natin sa MM. Sobra sobra o overpriced ang flagpole na yan sa Luneta.

90% ng government projects ay overpriced up to 300% even to the smallest repair lang sa government establishment ito ay dahil sa mga hinihinging porsyento o kickback ng lahat ng humawak sa proyekto mula sa nagpropose ng repair o proyekto which is government employee or officials, engineer and contractor na kamag-anak or related doon sa government official. Yan ay alam na alam ko dahil contractor ng government projects ang amo ng kuya ko na foreman or leadman sa mga nakuhang government projects ng amo niya.

so, if the steel is imported and it worth 3 million plus as you estimated and considering that the project was done in a matter of less than a month. yes less than a month lang ang tinagal ng paggawa. mukhang justified ang 7 million, dapat tinalakay mo rin yung mga stone/marmol na ginamit sa base kung magkano. yung contract price sa contractor magkano plus yung tax incentive for the importation of the materials used for the structure

Kindly Provide the Materials estimated by the said Structural Engineer Sir, and let us check whether his estimate materials are of the same specifications as to the materials used by the Engineer/Architect of this Flag Pole. For now, I would have to see this comment as a hearsay until proven true. :D

When we deal consultancy here in our Place in Zamboanga City, kasama na sa Consultancy namin ang cost Estimate niyang materials and Labor.. Hindi yan pinapacontract sa separate party kasi ang nakalaan sa DO 197 ng DPDWH guideline, percentage base ng total cost ang for administrative cost(planning and consultancy) and as far as I know, wala namang profession for cost estimate eh.. kasama na yung pricing sa package nung consultant..

Sana nagcompute ka din based on the assumption na hallow yung poles with the thickness of let's say 3 inches, 2.5 and 2 inches from bottom to top.. para mas kumpleto sana..

The flagpole project is pricey, for near 8million, the quality and the depth of the foundation shall speak for the shelf life of the item as well as the quantity of ingredients that consist the flagpole. Mechanized, full crum based all the way up, in order to anticipate from any changes in temperature, subject to daily depex as well. A lot of reinforcements needs to be placed for durability and sturdiness. The cost of the material should be finalized, in order to be realized with what the metal commodities are priced, domestically and overseas or international.

Content Suggestion: Urban Planning, ano nga ba ang elements ng isang sustainable na city. Pwedeng multiple parts yun since napakaraming icoconsider and if possible pa bang ma solusyunan ang urban congestion ng Metro Manila and if possible nga ba ang urban decay niya for the next 50 years
