As an engineer. I reserve my judgment kung palpak nga ang proyektong yan o hindi pag tapos na. Mahirap husgahan ang proyekto na on going pa. Pinapalabas kasi ng mga kritiko na hindi pinag isipan at walang pag aaral na ginawa ang DENR sa Manila Bay Rehab. Masyado namang unfair yon sa DENR dahil panigurado namang meron din silang kinuhang mga experts at consultants bago gawin yang proyekto na yan.

Then I later learned that resources are scarce/short supplied and price doubled.
The disappointing reason is that Cebu’s natural resources is dwindling in the expense for the beautification effort for Manila Bay because of the incompetence of their official and undisciplined residence living there.
Tell me where the F**K*ng justice in that.
Cebu’s sands taken away to Manila Bay, people saying “WOW great job, Manila Bay is clean and white sand”, taking pictures, doing youtube vlog. Then later came the weather “tyhphoon and heavy rain” washing the white sands away.
Rehabilitation or just beautification effort?
Where are the people claiming the pride/glory that they did this and that?

As I Believe DENR knows what they do.
They also have professionals or Proven Experts to handle the said Manila Bay Projects.
Under Pres Duterte Administration I am confident .
DENR ! If im in a proper authorities thats the first i will decimate o r dissolve in government. They dont do much on Luzon ,Visaya region farmers. They couldn't afford to build a rice paddy's water ways or patubig in regions 1 2 3 and Visaya region . The existing waterways was made during peace time and marcos regime.
DENR officials are living in extravagant life.
since when do we export rice in overseas ,Philippines resale the rice that import from different countries like vietnam,Thailand India. Philippines is one of the large consumers of rice, but then DENR failed to help farmers in Philippines Luzon Visaya and Mindanao is needed help but this agency are turning their heads n close the eyes to the farmers.
They import vast rice supplies in different countries so that they can get a cut and commission for importing merchandise.
DENR couldn't get money from small farmers thats why they pushing to import rice in neighboring County.
I think its time to give a middle finger to those useless government officials and senators,congress that allows the vast import of grains.

Exactly kung talagang magagaling yang mga tga up na yan dapat hindi dinanas ng Manila Bay at Pasig River ang kalunus-lunus na kalagayan.. So shame to them makabatikos lang ang motibo nila. As for majority of the Filipino people we support the ongoing rehabilitation and beautification of Manila Bay.

manila bay has arguably 1 of the most beautiful sunset in the world! japanese contractor nyan po. the cost of the nourishment program on dolomite alone is 28M including transport etc that includes phase 2 &3 narin. DENR even paid half a billion to UP scientists in the past wala naman silang ginawa, ngayong tapos na ang phase 1 nyan nagngawngaw nanaman ang UP scientists dapat daw mangrove ang ilagay dyan😂😂daming experts kesyo nawawash out na kasi nangingitim yung ibabaw yun pala yung itim na buhangin ang tumatambak sa ibabaw ng dolomite dala ng waves. hay naku.. malaki ang expectations ng mga anti-goverment org kasi masayang ang pera, nakalimutan ata nila bay yan may tubig so normal lang na magkaroon ng erosion. kung hindi sila happy eh di tambakan ulit natin ng basura🤪

DENR has the expertise on this feild. I trust them more than the UP experts kuno and those that are nag mamarunong-runongan.
@ Clyde Martin DENR Is the one branch of Filipino government that needs to uprooted. All officials are living in extravagant life high salary. While its people in in region 123 and 4 are desperately seeking help all farmers are crying begging for help. The rice production ,corn,coconut, vegetables and fisheries are in low time low. .why? Because they "DENR " failed to quarterback or help the farmers. So the hell with them. They keep insisting to import grains from neighboring County. What the fuck is that.
The DENR must be so good because the Phil. is one of the worst countries when it comes to environmental disasters

As long as the area where the dolomites materials are to be embanked are properly contained with retaining /break wall then they will not be carried away or washed out by the current of the sea water, without such protection the natural force of nature will just washed them all. The property of the dolomite materials will help the water to enhance its alkalinity and make the nearby water clear, it also provide food to the fish, its a good government project though but of very costly specially during this pandemic. To contain and to maintain the property of the dolomite will be the big challenge in this rehabilitation project for Manila Bay.

, I’m sorry to say that the solidity of cleaning and rehabilitation of Manila bay, is always will be temporary. Unless they resolve the root cause of this problem. Angat nandyan yon mga nag tatapon ng mga BARUSA sa mga ilog na konektado sa MANILA BAY. Not to mention yon mga water waste ng mga PLANTA AT MGA POULTRY SA MGA ILOG DIN ANG BAGSAK. Resolve this, then our beloved Manila bay will be truely REHABILITATE.
Actually isinabay na rin po ang pagpapagawa ng mga waste water facilities sa mga estero papuntang Manila Bay sa dredging phase pa lang bago sinimulan ang pagtatambak ng buhangin dyan. So, problem has been solved na po in that matter.

I guess our only problem now are those informal settler houses forbiddenly erected along the river conneted to Manila bay. I hope we have a vlogger documenting the relocating of the informal settler when this happen. It will be very interesting to follow.

Learn new appreciate engr. Just to add in my little knowledge concrete pillar filling barriers is cheapest fast option to minimize the wave pressure that causes sand erotion and profiling equilibrium of the shoreline elevation it will not effect the beauty of sunset.

Waikiki beach in Hawaii have done this , artificial beach has been there, doing it for years now in other cities worldwide , just have to maintain it every few years . Let the experts handle it , they know what they’re doing . Haters gonna hate , hindi naman sila naghate sa basura before , hypocrites ...
Tama ka. Waikiki beach is artificial. Pero nilinis muna nila bago tinambakan. May mga basura ka bang nakikita na palutang lutang? May naamoy ka bang raw sewage sa polluted water? At saka natural sand ang itinambak doon... hindi dolomite. At may maintenance yon periodically dahil inaanod yong tambak. And most important... ikinukulong sa America ang mga magnanakaw na government officials kaya maasahan mo na gagawin ang maintenance ng tama.

I have the actual experience in construction management of beach front development for 5 star hotels in dubai from design phase up to close out phase and we did it in 12 months (half kilometer seashore) and seeing your video (manila bay) including your knowledge is like building a basic jeepney or sand castle while mine is like building a stretched rolls royce phantom. Malayong malayo ang reliability when it comes to structural integrity na pinipresent o ginagamit nyong design or system.

Para sa akin malaking bagay ang nagawa ng Du30 admin para sa manila bay. Antayin pa natin ang mga 10years para maappreciate ang pagbabagong ito. Ata sana lang maipagpatuoy ito hanggang matapos.

Expense could have been lowered if they put a seawall at shoreline before the sand to avoid erosion. Nice to know po yan engr 😁

Hmm imagine po oo hindi mawawash out white sands pero ung sands that is on the other side of the wall po un yung mawawashout that could lead for a near deeper part of the ocean.

Dont think about this white sand project too much, maintaining it will not be a problem... the news we see on TV that "its already deteriorating" which is obviously will happened due to heavy stoms, the simple answer to that is "just maintain it lol"

Siguro kung may jackstones barrier, mas minimal yung displacement. Dolomite diay na ila gitambak, dili white sand.
Exactly you're right like what I have seen in Malaysia. Concrete jackstone is recommended to lock or at lease movement of sand. Serve as barriers.

if you watched and listened carefully, they had geo bags filled with sand stacked to form a retaining wall like functionality and also to function as filters to clean the waters as it passes through then back to the sea, the dolomite was just the outer covering, but the multiple layers of sand beneath are, according to what I red porac sand, they chose volcanic sand because it is less likely to get washed up by the waves because it is heavier than of the regular sand.
@@makoyusonknives Jackstones act like atoll reef barrier to lessened the impact of surge or inundation since geobags only control the soil erosion. So that explains why may dark areas na kasi may volcanic sand pala. Kung purong dolomite lang yung ginamit, mas less glare siguro kasi di lumalabas yung black sand.

@@MaruRico Your're welcome. Engineer din ako kaya naiintindihan ko yung erosion control at kung paanon nagwo-work ang geotubes. Ganun pa man, mahilig din ako sa arts at hobby ko ang pagtugtog ng mandolin. Kaya gumawa rin ako ng sariling channel, related naman sa mandolin at fine arts. Kung may time ka, welcome ka ring bumisita at manood sa channel ko. :)
You should have talked about the Dolomite Sands, because that is one of the controversial that the Dilawan and Yellow opposition was complaining about to stop the creation of the white sand beach.
