Is there a Skill to bait pumping fresh lugworm.My friend said he needed help with some lugworm orders. Who was i to refuse sand and a lugworm pump i was happy so we meet up at pett level got the pumps warmed up and managed to get his orders covered and had a laugh in the sun too

Plenty around at the moment mate but as you said there’s lots of those thin skinned red ones and a fair few smalls. The May rot is really thick at the moment but it should clear shortly with a bit of an onshore blow. I’m having to ignore all the small casts and only pump the bigger ones which takes a bit of time but the worms are much better.

Hi Tony been doing the same with the smaller worms just leaving them and picking out the better worms was going to go out on the boat but too much rot at the mo hope your getting plenty of worms mate happy pumping👍👍👍👍

yes mate down at dungeness the may rots in, still getting a fair few decent worms out but had a few sessions where there bugger all casts.. great vid as always

Hi theres parts like that down at pett where you are just sucking fresh air worms by the waters edge are hard to get and half way up the sand easy👍👍

Does it matter what structure of sand you pump the worms from ?

some parts of the country they use a fork we are lucky the sand is soft which make pumping easy

loving the videos but how come you prefer to hold them instead of just chucking in the bucket as you go? i tried holding them and end up just squashing them on the side of the pump or dropping them haha

Hi Matt i got use to doing that beacuse i was always leaving my bucket behind. Now i use the bucket as a marker then when i wonder off as you do when i hit a bad patch of sand i go back to the bucket and start again hope that makes sense sometimes ive had as many as 40 worms in my hand lol

Hi, i just got my first bait pump and keen to get started. I have one problem, i live in Buckinghamshire 2hrs from nearest beach. Would you say Hastings is a good place for a beginner. Thanks Ian

Hi i dont know many other beaches as pett level and hastings are my goto beaches mostly pett level has you get more time on the sand and the sand is better not stoney like hastings just make sure you go on a decent tide good luck

so ive got a problem there are so many poo and breathing holes at my beach that i dont know what hole belongs to wich poo do you have any tips for this?

Hi that must be a headache for you i would try and find a patch of sand thats not so populated and work from there where i live we dont have that problem just a cast good luck

also mate you recon you could do a vid on how to store em and dry em for the fridge and freezer all the ones ive frozen recently have gone to mush

Hi the ones that you froze did you dry them before wrapping if you take abit more time drying them they freeze down better i will try and do a vid and show you good luck

Lot of may rot around Southend to clacton.went out on boat 2 weeks ago waste of time and fuel. Another week or two should be gone 🤞. Just put new silicone washers in both pumps will be down to try them out in couple weeks.
