A Christmassy Gift Opening! 🎄

- In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. TH-cam earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. Here are the charities that we've donated to so far:

I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖

Funny because it's usually people who don't want cats! Stephanie's reasoning was sound, only if there weren't so many people living at LaLond! "We travel so much that it wouldn't be fair to have a dog & have to leave it behind so often!" Well Stephanie, it hasn't been a problem for the peacocks, chickens nor sheep. There is always someone to look after pet, herd, brood care! Now that Lance is part of the family, it seems that there are not a lot of places that he can't go & it was a moot point...😊❤

The rain deers that were broken could be taken to a specialist to repair them as they are so gorgeous & would be well worth the cost.
Those glasses to look at the Christmas tree lights is amazing. You gift opening moments are so great and now Lancelot wants to be a part of the action and assumes everything is for him. He's so cute.

You were exactly what I needed on Boxing Day in Australia - my 90 year old Mum passed away one week ago - as you can imagine I'm needing to just get through this period until we can hold her funeral - it's lovely to see the close relationship you have with your family.

This cheers me up to watch. It is such a risk in sending gifts to people. You were so gracious, Stephanie. Some one in Florida asked me to make penguin ponchos, and I sent them penguin ponchos. They sent a donation. I teach, and do not want a business sewing. Yellow is your signature color. Royal blue is mine.

I enjoyed the cadeaux so much. Seeing Stephanie's joy with every present was priceless. But I'm also sad that we won't be able to see any cadeaux anymore. I got so many gift ideas and book recommendations. Maybe there might be a glimmer of hope that you will start doing it in the future.

One theory of Humpty Dumpty is that is was the name of a large canon which had fallen off a wall during a battle and had broken badly they couldn’t put it back together again …but who knows , merry Christmas everyone 🎄☘️💚
P.S. I think when the Chapel is finished and there can be a Christmas tree in there, the hand-blown garland should be used in there. The jewel tones in the garland match the stained glass windows.❤

We have an ornament which belonged to our Great Great Grandmother circa 1840, its is the moon with a smiling face and rosy cheeks. We have a Tradition that the youngest member of the Family gets to hang him on the tree on Christmas Eve.

I always have loved the Christmas lights glasses. They come in many shapes like reindeer and Santa and a few others. They should work on all types of light bulbs. They even work on car headlights and streetlights. We would get them and take the kids driving around looking at Christmas lights and they loved it. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁

You can get the 3D glasses that have Santa Claus that shows up when you look at Christmas lights instead of snowflakes. Several towns have large Christmas displays and offer trolley tours and give them out. Fabulous way to enjoy them! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.
