- In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. TH-cam earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖

All creatures are beautiful. A dog never acts as though we aren’t pretty enough to love, even with hat hair or bad breath! Isabel is a beautiful person and secure enough to laugh at an adorable dog!

Philip, it's so good of you to want a dog and holt your travels for the next 13 - 15 years. They provide so much love and loyalty it's only fitting that owners commit to the same love and constant care they truly deserve. Kudos to you. Hugs and stay well.
You as a dog owner do not necessarily have to hold your travels for the entire life of the dog. Only a few dogs will suffer from separation anxiety, and most won't if you expose them to those people who can dog sit with them over a long period of time, and let them bond with them as frequent quests.
It is easier than ever to travel with dogs. Many hotels have entire floors for their dog owning patrons.
Shhhhh but just between you and I there’s this thing called a kennel. It’s all the rage amongst dog owners who like to travel I hear.
I can’t imagine that Emery and natty wouldn’t love to dog sit when you guys travel. Their own dog is on the elderly side. They could always find out who else would love to have a close relationship with a dog for extra support. 💗 🐶
I think Philip should have a dog it will be like your child for you both to share
The round piece in the manicure set is for removing ear wax. It works so much better and is better for your ears than using a cotton swab. You put it into your ear canal and twist, and the wax attaches to the sort of screw part and it pulls it all out in one go. Where as when you use a cotton swab it actually pushes the wax further down into the ear canal which can compact the wax and block your ear canal. Phillip was correct about the instrument with the little V shaped end. It is for trimming your cuticles and the little bits of skin around the cuticle. All of the gifts were so very lovely. I would literally be on top of the world if I received such beautiful things. I cannot even imagine opening a box and receiving all of those amazing gifts. I loved every one of them. You are all so incredibly blessed!

The gifts from Jay were incredible and so personal. The joy that Stephanie shares with each parcel is contagious and makes me smile. Phillip is filled with knowledge and ideas for each gift which is admirable and not forgetting his puns which are heartwarming. Ziggy was so cute with his collection of ties. Jasperware cameos could be from the Wedgwood inspired Bridgerton range.
Also the Spode rimless saucer is designed as an old tea sipper bowl, a custom practised for cooling your tea in order to drink without scolding one's mouth. ❤
Yes my grandfather used to put his milk and sugar in his tea then pour it into the saucer to cool and he sipped/slurped it from the saucer. (He was french from Montréal)

Saucers are made to fit the cup bottom as those ridges help maintain its stability in the saucer. Such small plates are made for food and have no ridges. So, your gift is a cup with a small plate, not a saucer. They are beautiful.

@@rowandowland1391 The charity names are published on here regularly, each month I believe. With an over view given out at times. My comment was not questioning the direction of the donations. Rather, I was saying that I hope we can find a new way to carry on with it once Cadeaux ends.
PS I've given a home to five from her this summer, one family of three and two singletons. I already had two rescue Pugs and a beautiful black Whippet but increasing the family to eight has given me such joy.x

But the only things to consider with having a very sweet pet, is that you want to take it with you on all trips, and it can be hard.
They do need care and going to bathroom, and eating, and if left behind when you travel alot , as you have so much to do, you must leave them behind for others to take care of them. (Now this may not be any problem at all, at least at first, in your case with many that will be home at Lalande?) Just thoughts as we always love our pet and we do have a sweet one, but have to say going away is tricky, as you do feel they need to be with you and leaving them is like leaving your own child!! It is very, very hard.
Taking them with you can be hard if they get sick in car when traveling etc and just never know? Sometimes it works out, but think you need a person to care for them every minute? You never know how the climate or time changes will affect them.

That would look wonderful. The picture of the organ put there in the chapel It looks like it all was there. The tiles in the kitchen are looking very nice. The tiles in some places look like they are color different I know there not now it looks odd but maybe after it's done it won't look that way.

You should go to a local shelter take us with you and Phillip can pick a dog that really needs a great home. The talon candlesticks could be vultures for Halloween with black or dark purple candles. The spode creatures tea towel looked great with the dining room wallpaper. For some reason i fell down the rabbit hole one evening of watching podiatrists dealing with severe ingrown toenails. Some of the tools in the manicure kit looked like the tools the surgeons were using. Beware of their sharpness if so.

That might not be a citrine. It could be a topaz. It’s so clear and topaz are very clear plus the beautiful antique silver chain how gorgeous and beautifully crafted. I think the necklace is either is marcasite or Turquoise, but I can’t get in close enough look beautifully crafted as well unique
The manicure/Personel toiletries set is actually both for hands, feet and the one with the little spring nib you wondered about is for removing earwax so full body upkeep 😊

If each poncho had a Talbot's label, each would be worth $180. I give them away, and there are no labels, unless the pillowcases have Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Kate Spade. There were poncho pillowcases.

Such fun! I pasted the image of the fellow at 15:55, and Google faithfully assured me that it was an image of the bottom of a Kewpie Doll's foot! So now we know. The title Queen of England has not been used since 1603, at the Union of the Crowns. And our late Queen was Elizabeth I and II. Never referred to as Elizabeth II in Scotland. LOVE your videos. My people are from Isle of Skye. They started a church in Alabama in 1823, and still spoke the old country's language. My grandfather was born 30 miles away, and when he married my grandmother, he was the first in many decades if not centuries to marry outside of the Isle of Skye gene pool.
