I too have cancelled my Whoop subscription after 6-12 mths of daily use. I basically know what I now need to do, and what I shouldn't do, to ensure I am healthy enough to train and recover. I appreciate the insights but I can use the $50pm for other things.

I'm genuinely researching using the money saved to invest in top quality pillows to improve my sleep 😴

With the large number of people not happy with the strict terms of a 12 month membership, Whoop is going to need to adapt their terms and conditions to keep customers happy. I'm not planning on going beyond the initial 12 months unless they improve the terms, let customers pause/cancel membership more freely, etc.

I agree, it was a pretty easy choice for me to cancel an I don't regret it.

I don't use any tech anymore. I am done with it all. I came to the realisation that I had become a slave to it.

I tried Whoop for a while a couple of years ago. I thought that both the device and the data it was providing was valuable, however, like you, I did not see the actual value proposition. I also found myself coming to the conclusion that I would have reached the same conclusion about my performance/recovery based on my own experience vs. having the data the Whoop provided to me. If I were a high-level competitive athlete I could see how having access to the data may translate into a competitive edge, however, not being in that class of an athlete, I did not see the benefits.

Exactly! If they came up with a much cheaper option that only had limited features such as sleep tracking, I would consider it again but that's a long shot.

I wanted to cancel my subscription and they charged me $300, do you know if that is refundable? I don't want to pay that amount.

Ye, they make you pay out the remaining amount on the subscription. No way around it as far as I know

Good video and thanks for the insight. I really wanted one, but was never able to justify the monthly fee every month… that is the cost of my 24hrs gym membership?
I had the Garmin Fénix, but died on me 2 years later=also a scam after paying $1000 for it.
Now waiting for the iwatch Pro in September, hopefully I have better luck with that one.

If I cancel my whoop band do I have to pay anything, I already payed for 12 Month membership

From memory, as long as you've paid the 12 months then you can cancel. You'll obviously no longer be able to use it anymore. If you let it role over into the next year, you might be liable for that next month's
