- Boromir and Faramir joke about their family resemblance, followed by the making of the flashback sequence of Osgiliath in the extended edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Hope you enjoy this! - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
It's really sweet listening to Sean Bean kind of shyly admit how excited he was to be on set. That scene between Boromir, Faramir and Denethor is a pivotal scene for all three characters, and I'm still pretty upset that it was left out of the theatrical cut. Those three actors play off of each other so well. It's one of my favorite scenes in the trilogy.
really? you're upset? what?
It's okay now though we have the extended cut and who ever watches the theatrical cut anymore any way
The people who care enough about it know about it. Thats all that matters
Casting- "youre a a great actor and we love how similar you look to sean bean, you're hired"
David Wenham-"a chance for Faramir, captain of Gondor to show his quality"
As David said: "it was real". That is what I think is missing from most of today's movies. Practical effects, people dressed with every little detail. It allows actors to really get into the character. I think more than just green screen.
That's props and custome your talking about, not practical effects.
A practical effect is something like the blood splatter from gunshots in old movies(Squibs), or a hand controlled puppet like Yoda in Empire strikes back.
The problem isn't with CGI, it's with studios who's hiring the cheapest cgi studios, rather than going with a established name like Industrial Light & Magic, which then result in the fake looking CGI you see in alot of movies.
@@Orcawhale1 its not just that they hire cheap studios, they also rush the cgi editors to the point that making a quality product is impossible.
@@TheLastWizard damn what were the chances we both reply to this month old post at the same time lol
@@nickcarriero8274 Yep, that's true aswell.
You're so right, and as a supporting example, the filmmakers actually created a sword for Denethor even though he didn't have any scene drawing the weapon. They could have just used a fake handle on his belt, but they wanted the actor to actually have a sword fitting his lordly position, and to feel the weight of the weapon on his belt during his performance, to help him be in the mindset of the high steward.
"It was quite nice to work with another actor"
Andy Serkis: 👽
Well maybe Andy got a bit too much into character for them to notice lmao
Faramir has always been one of my favorite characters in LOTR -never understood why the scenes with ham and Boromir was deleted! It was first when I watched the extended cut, that I understood the battle that Boromir had, and the sad life that Faramir had :/
seriously Boromirs actions are so much more understandable when you realize how his father pressured him so much
Splinturcell Exactly! It gave a lot of perspective on it. These scenes should've been in the actual movie as well :o
i hate that boromir scenes were cut from theatrical version
xxjareexx apparently theres even more Cut from the Film that Peter might release Someday on top of whats already in the Extended Version
I know, this scene was one of the best! At least we still have it in the extended editions.
@@LookingTheBest I Know Can't Wait For This!
Also there's an entire scene cut which was filmed where the fellowship are being persued by the Moria orcs into lothlorien and legolas holds them off single handedly with his bow, it's in the original trailer for a second... never made the directors cut
Dion Rimmer Absolutely! From what I’ve heard, there are plenty of scenes we haven’t seen. Really hope they’ll be released sometime in the near future!
Boromir and Faramir are the perfect Brothers!!!
Did they even had scenes together?
@@rafaelalodio5116 Yes, in the Extended Edition of TTT, when Denethor sends Boromir to the council of Elrond.
@@BalticVendetta a nice scene
Thanks for your love and support,am really glad you watched and enjoyed my videos here on TH-cam so feel free to write me on my official email as am able to reply you
@@davidwenham2939 This doesn't look like scam at all. :-D
The 'For Gondor!' scene and the coinciding Boromir and Faramir scene was hands down one of my top three scenes out of the entire trilogy.
Sean has such an lovely voice.
Met him a few days ago, i'll always remember that moment. We had a chat for like over an hour. What a guy he is..
And his smile is also beautifull!
Is it still in your memory?
I love Sean Bean's voice!!!
+Nesita Ita lol :D But me too :D His voice made him sounds so sexy :D
Its a Yorkshire accent :) He was born in a town not too far from me :)
Yorkshire accent, he's from Sheffield in England. We all talk like him. 😂
"pitchin me volume"
Yeah your all from close by but i bet you sound like devvo
David Wenham is one of the best actors I've ever seen, I just watched 300 again, his presence is amazing, he goes from laid back and then really turns up the heat -- historical movies suit him the best.
You must be blind and deaf.
@@creatorsremose Wut
@@creatorsremose I think you’re projecting. Or jealous. Have you seen his Karl from Van Helsing? He’s a brilliant character actor!
@@achanwahn when I saw him playing that monk I didn't even recognize him.

Sad that Boromir had to go too soon. He was such a good brother 😞
Sean Bean is a wonderful actor. I loved him in Lord of the Rings. He is handsome too. He made a wonderful contribution to the movie.
Casting choice of boromir and faramir was absolutely genius. Sean bean with his maddening eyes and history of playing psychopaths and David wenhem’s sad, deep eyes. AND they do share resemblance too!
Viggo as Aragorn was good but Aragorn was made too humble in PJ’s version and not so stealthy. But he had a nice exotic bright eyes look about him.
@@TheCoolCucumber he went psychopathic at the end due to the influence of the ring. And various points in the film it was suggested that he was turning psychopathic because of the ring.
super handsome dudes

@Mr. Ditkovitch nah your mind is already scarred
Mr. Ditkovitch Sounds like contracting AIDS would be the least of your problems right now friend.
@Mr. Ditkovitch You ever get that rent?
Mr. Ditkovitch I too have PTSD, though it is somewhat mild. I didn’t say what I said in a mocking way, I simply meant that you perhaps have some more serious unresolved issues if you have “homophobic” beliefs that strong. I don’t have any against you man, and I truly do hope you find peace with whatever left you scarred.
Ugh, David Wenham is just adorable
RIP Borimor and Eddard Stark . This guy needs a new character that lasts .
will never happen lol if i ever saw him live in a movie i might actually be disappointed.
Oh please, check out the tv series 'Sharpe' - Sean Bean survives something like 14 x 100 minute long episodes!
Yep, Troy ... and National Treasure, just to name a few films.
***** Yes he did, he portrayed Ulises/Odiseo...and even there could be a sequel, you know, about how hard was for him to get back to his home Ithaca.
he also got killed in Black death lol and every character he plays i love.
When I was in filmschool, we watched a homevideo style training video from a Sydney filmschool that my teachers had in their repoitire. It was super old, but one of the students in it was David Wenham, that's literally all I got out of it. I spent the whole class going 👀 👀 that's Faramir!
Even those few seconds, hearing Boromir shout like that, just make the hair on my arms stand up.
It's a beautiful thing, to see thousands of people being inspired by the words of one man... and god, what a heavy burden it must be to be such a man.
Boromirs are hard to find these days.. men of honor.
I honestly fucking thought they were brothers
David and Sean are incredibly beautiful men.
Remember today little brother.
Its a compliment to his acting skill, if you have a character that dies early, but you want people to care about, get Sean, take equilibrium for example, dies really early on, but you still care
David Wenham is the most soft spoken Aussie I’ve ever seen!
Faramir and Boromir are my favorite characters of the LOTR trilogy :D
SAME!
because you have good taste
This movie trilogy remains to be my favorite and most epic movie trilogy ever!
Ater 9 years, I can assure you that it still is the best trilogy ever made. And it is a fact.
. Absolutely man. I’ll never stop enjoying the films and the behind the scenes
I don't think anything can top this trilogy to be honest, so good!
Even after 20 years of the movies release. This statement still remains true
All thanks to JRRTolkien novel
I like their noses
Me too - so freaking sexy both of them!
Boromir, the only General great enough to hold Osgiliath
Hush, who are you, Denathor? Faramir did his best out there.
@@senbrandybuck4492 MY SON.... IS DEAD.
MY BIG NOSED SON IS DEAD!!!
What about Gothmog, he managed to take it and repel atleast one attack?
It always amuses me loads that Sean Bean is just so northern,
the osgiliath- speech always gives me chills.
There really are no words to describe how happy seeing even such a tiny piece of this world makes me. The music, visuals, people... This is home
They may have similar noses but the accents??? hehe I love that Sean Bean is the only Yorkshire person in Middle Earth!!!! whoop whoop
I always had a crush on boromire and aragorn, manliness!! MMMMMM!
It was an inside joke but when Boromir/Sean was holding the shards of the sword in the first film and he cuts his finger. He utters a line "Still Sharp" in reference to his role in the series.
i fricken love sean bean
i love that bit with boromir on the battlements. it gives me shivers lol
I can't stop thinking about how David and the actor who played Isildur resemble each other.
sean bean's voice is so attractive. i could listen to him talk all day.
To us aspiring actors with large noses, Sean Bean is the guy to give us hope and inspiration. :)
That scene with Boromir retaking Osgiliath is honestly one of my favourite scenes of the whole trilogy.
i LOVE Sean Bean. everyone i know doesn't like him that much... but i LOVE him. he's a fabulous actor.
Yes, definately! He's a really good actor, and it's pretty impressive how well he managed to get back into character after having been away from it.
"Some of the sort of...facial qualities......I'm not talking about a big - no, I know I've got a big nose." :P
I love the both of them.
love David Wenham
Chills at the end.
Funny how David in the movie is kinda hot and rough, yet in 2004 he plays a nerdy fray in Van Helsing
Haha I love their big noses~ David Wenham and Sean Bean are such great actors. Thanks for posting this!
Sean Bean and David Wenham are heartthrobs of mine - so sexy & dreamy both of them! ❤️
Big noses? I remember high school nonsense of guys with big noses - they have big something else too. Haha
Sean is such an amazing actor :)
I absolutely love that scene, I really wish it had been in the Theatrical Edition.
no matter wether his in the peninsular war or in lord of the rings wars, sean bean is one bad ass warrior
Boromir was my favourite character when I was teenager, now Boromir and Sam :)
Yeah he is !
A family friend introduced him to me 'cause he's a good friend of Sean and he knows that i'm a big fan ;)
Such a nice guy, telling me all this story's over how it was recording LotR and his life.
He was acting like i was a friend of him. It felt like i could just walk into his house tomorrow again. Too bad i live in Holland;(
A pair of great actors and gorgeous men.
If I could keep one scene that was cut, it would most definitely Faramir's flashback with Boromir
I love a man with a big nose, it makes them more manly and strong looking.
❤️
Well im hideous lol
Sean is so cute when he smiles =)
I totally agree about Sean's voice!!
It's a deleted scene from The Two Towers that was put back into the extended version. It's only 5 minutes long but it completely explains the relationship between Boromir, Faramir and Denethor. Search for "the two towers extended scenes" and you should find it.
The years during the Lord of the Rings theatrical releases were the best in my go-to-cinema time!
I've met David and shook hands with him at the Sci Fi-convention in Gothenburg this year.
Is he as yummy IRL?
Adirondaque He's very handsome.
awwww
That's funny! My mom commented on how alike they looked; I guess it wasn't just us who thought that!
Winter is coming! Oh, wait...
I loved the lord of the rings films, especially the extended editions.
Regardless, Sean and David are awesome and very handsome. XD
Wenham has a gorgeous profile :)
I love the behind the scenes stuff! Thanks for posting this.
They're both really good looking guys and their "big" noses kind of amplify that a bit. Like how gorgeous Italian guys can be even though a large nose usually comes with the territory.
Perfect casting and perfect portrayal for both characters.
You take these secondary characters performances for granted, but they helped to make these movies what they are.
The Osgiliath scene should NEVER have been removed!
"I'm just gonna go like this" *Slowly and sexily turns head*
xD
Haha - ❤️
Sean Bean is the best ^_~
Oh my goodness Sean is such a gorgeous man ;D
sean bean is the ultimate middle age acthor everything about him is just perfeckt
thanks to LOTR i found out that i seriously have a thing for way older men....and david wenham and sean bean are at the top of this.... lol
For Gondor
Sean Bean. Best looking Sheffield United fan in the world
It's going to be painful to no longer have Lord of the Rings isolated from political madness as the new amazon series comes out. I've been enjoying these clips for so long.
Same mate
Grow up you massive melt
Do like I did with the new star wars movies. Forget they exist lol
They're both good looking, regardless of the size of their noses.
totally adore david wenham !!!!
Definitely Two Towers, but only on the extended edition. It's a flashback with some nice Faramir/Boromir brotherly scenes, and also shows Denethor's differing treatment of them.
i love them both! they're such great actors
I always thought it was nice that Viggo and Sean had that bit of similarity because Tolkien wrote that Aragorn looked almost identical to Denethor (Boromir's father) so really there should be some resemblance between Aragorn and his son. :-)
You're very welcome! I love big noses, period. So sexy on men. Wenham and Bean's are two prime examples.
You’re like me. I love a big nose. I’ve always thought I’m crazy lol
2 Dec 2007... thank you TH-cam...
i love the crew of lord of the rings♥ they all have something unique about them♥
The Appendices are so fucking GREAT!!!
When I saw the movie for the first time I thought Sean Bean and David Wenham were really brothers. I didn't know their real names and I thought they were actual brothers because they kind of look like they are from one family
Da brividi la scena estesa di Boromir ne Le Due Torri!! Grandissimo Sean Bean!!!!! I Love You!!!
henry mortensen (son of viggo) at the minute 1:22... cool! i knew he played a guy at the helm's deep during the siege but i did not know he also played as a soldier of gondor...
David Wenham looks like a little brother.
i love faramir ^_^
This is the day I find out David is Australian 😂😂😂 Dude's so versatile actor and has so many character ranges, I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT FINDING OUT HIS NATIONALITY LMAO 😂
Why, thank you. :)
Now I want to watch an edit where Boromir gives the same intens speech but there’s only a couple Gondor soldiers listening and shouting
Despite always having a love for movies, no other film(s) captured my imagination like LotR. Of course, the siren song of the films was probably made more clear to my ear after learning I had a kinsman who represented Matamata in NZ Parliament, something I only learned after Fellowship came out on DVD. It strikes me as very funny that I love the character Boromir despite his flaws, and my fave David Wenham character was Neil Fletcher in Australia. Should I be picking up on a theme here? LOL
Sean is my northern star *sigh*
Perhaps Bean and Wenham never heard that men _are supposed_ to have big noses. As far as I know, if we take any drawing canon for (european) faces, men have a bigger nose in proportion to the face than women do. So rest easy, dear fellows, your noses make you more handsome, not less.
Brad Pitt has a very small nose and he is known as incredibly sexy. Personally seans nose seems a bit big to me, that's why I had more of a crush on Viggo.
Well, I had better not go into the matter of Brad Pitt here, hehe. But whatever it is that "sexy" means, I don't think it means the same as handsome. Plus, as we all know, an actor being considered good looking depends a lot on the fashion of the times - sorry to sound nasty, but some people just can't have an opinion of their own, and simply absorb what others and the mass media say. But what I was referring to is an artistic standard that has been long stablished and does not change. It is a standard that values _strong_ traits for male faces, not the currently popular "pretty boy" type.
Listen to Balfour folks, European standards of beauty is all that matters. What a crock.
When the two men are European types, it makes sense to apply European standards of beauty. If they were Japanese or Native American I would apply other standards.

There always has to be a moron like you who will choose to find ethnocentrism or racism in anything, doesn't there.
The 'fighting' part with Faramir is in the third movie. The part with Boromir is a deleted scene from the second movie, but is in the unlimited edition. The part with Boromir is a flashback to before Boromir left Gondor to go to Rivendell.
every actor looked weird without long hair lol
