I have one, it came with terrible instructions, my hubby helped me put it together. I didn’t know the waist to hip was adjustable. Thank you!

Yup, it comes with some headaches too 😄
When I was buying it, the store had 2 options - the one without adjustable waist - hip length and one with (more expensive). I took the cheapest one and only after 2 years discovered that I can extend the bodice 🤭

oh no! I had that dress form and it's cursed. My problem was that for me it had to be nearly at its smallest around the booblies, wider at the neck and then at its widest setting at the hips. Eventually, it's insides warped and the whole thing got twisted. I ended up getting a shop dummy made out of styrofoam and sanding it back to my measurements.

Ohhhh! I see! Yes, indeed, those measurements can be adjusted only to a certain proportion 😖 I really like the idea about a styrofoam dummy though! Did you sand it yourself? Was it easy to do? I knew about the duct tape forms, but they don't seem very tempting 😄 Styrofoam sounds very promising!

@@StudioROSADO it was super easy, you just got to take it slow and make sure you are getting both sides even. - they have a stretchy cover on them so that hides what you've done, *plus* you can shove a pin all the way into them which I found problematic with the hips on the dressform opened to it's widest.

If im a beginner in draping and want to learn., would this be a good option to start with? Or should i buy a dress form without adjustments? If im buying that which sixe should i go for..? My size is small to medium

Do you feel like your measurements are quite standard within the range? I mean, for example when you are buying ready made clothes, is the size matching you well most of the times? Or do you have some peculiarities? For example my hips are an inch lower than the standard and my bust is EU34 while my hips are almost EU38.
If you have quite a standard shape, you could look for a single size dress form that is matching your size. They are very nice to drape on.
If your measurements also aren't consistent in one size, then I would recommend to look into DIY dress forms. However, I heard that the making process is crazy 😄
I'm not a big fan of using this dress form for draping, because those knobs and opening at the middle doesn't allow to pin and mark too well. Although I did drape a wedding dress for my client. She bought a shapewear bodysuit with a built in bra and I put that bodysuit on this mannequin and draped on top of that bodysuit. So there are some workarounds :)
Sorry for this long reply, in short, I would highly recommend this dress form if you are a beginner and you plan to do custom orders for other people. If you plan to drape only for yourself, I would look for a single size dress form that is as close to my own body as it can get.

Is it pinnable? Like can you put pins on it? If it is, can you make pleats on it for gowns? (Please answer, thank you)
