Speaking as a woodmachinist ... you must angle the back of the flute lower than the cutting edge. It cannot be higher or the high back will keep the cutting edge high..
You did a great job but none of us could understand this video because the measurements and angles were completely missing

Its good ur making a drill bit sharpener because ur tearing those bits to shreds.. slower is better, u cut thru so much better and save ur sharpness
I guess we aren't supposed to notice the blue tip on that bit or the compound facet that he made. What I did notice was that he failed to drill a hole with it. My guess is it would go dull very quickly if it worked at all. The angle grinder is a horrible idea it spins way to fast. Other than that great idea.
What kind of grinding disk did you use?

Although there is nothing wrong with your design and its simplicity, giving dimensions whilst you were making the video would go a long way in assisting the viewer to make more sense of your sharpening gadget. I would also not encourage viewers to wear sandals and socks whilst using a cutting disc in an angle grinder as you are surely looking to burn your feet and do the red Indian rain dance?
That sure is a lot of work just to sharpen a drill bit ..,u can get several hundred bits in a pack for 40 bucks or less ...
you can also just hold the angle grinder and the drill bit and sharpen it. done it many times to bring a drill bit back to life so I did not need to get some more. I like to the increase the point on my wood bits

Yea. Cheap ass bits that dull at low speeds and then u got 1 hole done and need a new bit because there now just campe fire starters
