When you show the tip of the drill bit after sharpening, I can clearly see blue discoloration of the metal. That, my friend, is not good. You overheated the steel, damaging the heat treatment and weakening the bit. At best it's going to need sharpening more often, at worst it could catastrophically fail. You're also not doing your drill bits any favors drilling into plate steel with no lubricant, sharp bit or not.
