Thanks for watching guys! Anyone else struggle with photography during the summer months? ☀️ 📸

Hey Chris, Yes, I've thrown away photos in post that looked too harsh because they were taken mid-day. I sometimes consider converting into black & white, this might help. When planning photos I usually check if a site is best at sunrise, sunset or any time of day and try to visit the place at around that time. But it all depends on how many sites you're visiting and in what timeframe, can you stay at a site multiple days or do you have to move on to the next location ?

Thanks so much for watching and for leaving a thoughtful comment! I'm glad you found it helpful. I definitely think Black & White photography can be beneficial but it took me a while to get into it. You really have to understand the light to get the best out of it but it's something that comes over time. When it comes to location, I find what works best for me is sticking to a small area and really working it rather than giving yourself too much distance to cover between subjects or compositions. If a particular composition isn't working when the light is right for example, then I know I can quickly move and find something else nearby in enough time to shoot it before losing the sunset for example. Of course, this doesn't work everywhere but I think giving yourself the best opportunity to come home with a photo you're happy with is always worthwhile, rather than just choosing one subject and location because if it works out then GREAT, but if it doesn't you could come home with nothing.
