Hilton DoubleTree Trieste, Italy Hotel Review | An ambitious and unsurpassed hotel in Italy | 10/10

Trieste, Italy is a jewel of the Adriatic, and it hosts several monuments and sights that have their place in antiquity. The city has been ruled by local tribes, Romans, Venetians, the Hapsburgs, and many in-between, and it won its independence from the Austro-Hungarian Empire and became part of Italy only in 1918.
Now, Trieste is a place for fun, food, and tourism. We traveled here this year because of its cruise port, but after our stay it is likely we will be back to take in more of the ruins, monuments, restaurants, and scenic beauty.
During our stay, we found ourselves at the Hilton DoubleTree. This hotel is located directly in the middle of the city and is a 10 minute walk to most attractions. Not only that, but it is a mere 15-minute walk from the train station. If you get good weather like we did, you probably won’t need to take any public transportation whatsoever when visiting. From this hotel, it is just a hop, skip, and a jump to many of the famous sites here, like the Parco della Rimembranza (Remembrance Park), the Grand Canal, the Scala dei Giganti (Giant’s Staircase), Piazza Unita d’Italia (Unity Plaza of Italy), the seaside promenade, and the Castello di San Guisto (Castle of San Guisto).
The hotel features several guest rooms and suites, as well as a bar and restaurant, fitness area, spa, classical architecture. The building is a 20th century masterpiece featuring statues, stonework, marble floors, frescos, and tiles, and it was once the headquarters of a large Italian insurance agency. Now, the guest rooms are decorated as beautifully as the lobby.
We loved our stay at this hotel, and we used both the spa and restaurants while we were here. If we make it back to the beautiful city of Trieste, Italy, we will make our way back to this hotel.
