I was born in Trieste, Although I have lived most of my life in Australia, I went back the first time after 35 years. As the city below us came into view , Luciano Pavarotti was on the radio, what a welcome home! It was quite an emotional experience. Since that first trip I have returned many times.

I went back to Croatia in 2018 after 44 years. I live in Canada and coming out of the last tunnel into Dalmatia and the Adriatic Sea the song on the radio was a popular beautiful Dalmatian song Ne DIraj moja Ljubav . I will never forget that. Your experience reminded me of that.

I think Trieste is the most beautiful city in Europe! I travel across the world to go there. I would not go back to Rome, Venice, Naples Sicily, but could go back to Trieste any time! I would love to spend months there instead of weeks. Isola is beautiful as well. Wonderful video, make me miss it so much.

@@markusschneider8086 I have seen a LOT of Europe thanks so much for assuming you know what I have done with my life. I happen to Love Trieste, also Isola, also many other places. I dislike many large cities, yet love Napoli. I have my opinions, no need for you to troll around arguing with someone on their opinion. A place can have an emotion attachment for you as well. It is like saying the beaches in Italy are beautiful, what a load of rubbish, and argue with an Australian over that! LOL

My favorite places to taste coffee are: Caffè degli Specchi, Caffè San Marco, Illy Corner at Eataly directly on the sea. The variety of cold and hot coffees and creativity you can drink at Illy’s is second to none. There is another coffee in Trieste called Triestina Artigianale, not far away from Piazza Unita. The place is called Torrefazione La Triestina di Ariella Doz. Here you can only buy coffee.
The best ice cream ever you can find in Gelateria Zampolli at Via Ghega 10. Just go for one of the five Senza nome tastes, memory guaranteed.

My most pleasant recollections are connected with this marvellous city! Being born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and living the whole life there, I felt much in common there and everything made me feel on one wave. I visited Trieste 4 times for a nice holiday spent with my sincere friend, the local citizen. Now the circumstances hold us apart! And I can't even hope to get there again due to the sanctions for Russia.

Thanks. I stayed 3 nights as it takes longer to film. You can see it all in 1 day, but to take it easy and to really enjoy it consider 2 nights.

I didn't think of that place before like - it's Italy. But I saw pictures of "Canale Grande" and I felt that I want to go there to visit. I travel to Italy if it's possible and I saw a lot of places. Wanted go on Amalfi Coast first, but I think maybe I'll go to Trieste. I love beautyful architecture and Italy. And Italy it is the reason why I still wasn't in Paris.

I travel to Trieste in a few days…😊

Well in general I don't include museums on my list, unless they are world famous must see places. I prefer other attractions. Wish you a great trip.

Hey Rok, how many days do you recommend staying in trieste to enjoy it properly? How is it safety wise compared to like rome and milan, not many *certain* people right? Thank you love vids

I think spending 2 nights in Trieste is plenty. It is also pretty safe regarding pickpockets as there are fewer tourists.

Is Trieste dog friendly? Are dogs allowed on the streets, beaches, parks, shopping and recreation areas and hotels?

    • @rokgoesaround

I guess it is no more or no less different as any other Italian town. Dogs are generally allowed.

I think Costa may have it's headquarters in Genova, and I'm sure they may have an office in Trieste. My father used to work for them after the war.
