I knew nothing about this area before today but I found it surfing the Marriott hotels between Budapest, Zagreb and Salzburg... and I'm booked! So what you’re saying is, because you opened a credit card you got THAT? Right? Because you got 100,000 points on sign up and it was only 80,000. Did I hear that right?

@KMCPhotographyTX yes exactly, the 100K card sign up bonus covered the 80K points required to stay. Having status with Marriott made it more likely for them to give us a free upgrade.
