I have been to Book Sales like this and my area of interest is Philosophy. When they open those doors I am the first one at the Philosophy section. I have done well in the past by getting some really good Philosophy books.
I love your attitude toward library book sales: "all the elderly people best get outta my way. I'm in it to win it!" 🤣 What a fun video to watch and experience...ALMOST as good as being there with you, Angela! Hope you're doing well. Keep smiling that lovely smile!
Omg! This was such a fun video to watch. You were so cute with your book wagon and your snacks 😆. Looks like you had fun and came back exhausted in the best way🤗. That's how it is when me and kids go to The Book Thing here in Baltimore. Its all FREE books! They let u in for 1 hour to get all the free books we can. We go once a year in the fall and make a day of it with breakfast at IHOP 😂😂.
We had a library sale like that near us. It was huge and we looked forward to it every year and then the Vid hit and they never brought it back. We were very sad.
‘The elderly, they’re so freakin’ cute…’ Honey, I have done more, seen more, read more and because of a lifetime of hard work, can afford more than most anyone your age…..seriously have some respect for those of us whose lifetimes have been fully lived and don’t speak of us as if we are children. Remember, our current life stage is your future life stage. Behave yourself.
Ah, Angela, finally a book HAUL worthy of its name. Not one of those crummy, pretentious little shopping twitches that make up so much of Booktube, all hat and no cattle videos, where feeble misers show off a tiny bit of paper that the wind could have blown on their lawn. You, chère madame, know how to splurge! And yet, I can still feel some amateurish insecurity somewhere between your greedy heart and your spinning brain. So let me help you with a few easy rules that will make next year's library sale even better. 1.) Never put a book back that you've already chosen. Trust your first instincts. The books you are not sure about form the stack from which the nicest surprises spring. Besides, you as a sprightly and supple young woman carry certain responsibilities towards elderly people like myself. Any book you put back could be the final straw that breaks a octogenarian's back. We senior citizens often miscalculate the strength we have left and try to schlepp too many books away: pop goes the disc! Don't be selfish and let a book lay around where it can hurt others. 2.) You don't need boxes and bags for a book haul like that. You just need a good shovel. Such a tool will give you extra satisfaction. You'll be able to feel in your hands and arms that panic buying of books is honest work. 3.) Don't do work yourself that an engine can do for you. Your little cart is a nice beginning. But as you've already noticed, next year you'll need brakes and a little motor on that thing. And while you're at it, weld a good solid cowcatcher to the front of your cart. It will lift your experience in crowded aisles to the next level. So, hope that was helpful. Am looking forward to the 97 videos you'll need to present all your loot. All the best, Thomas

You just described a dream! One hour, free books? 😲
Hi! Great sale! What were their prices like?
Great prices. Anywhere from 50 cents for paperbacks and & $1.00 for most hardcovers. Most I paid was $6.00 for a book.
Wauw, hope you will be enjoying those books! Looks like a great diverse pile. And great that you got some from you're list.
Thanks! I am so happy with my haul!

Oh no! I can’t believe they wouldn’t bring it back! It’s such a huge fundraising opportunity for the library!
