As an American , and not really getting on the new age bandwagon that has caught fire here , I have always considered my self a warlock , as that word has never meant anything negative to me . Parts of my ancestors came from Scotland and the UK and it’s only been the new generation of “baby witches “ here that get upset over that word . The term warlock is just now slowly getting reclaimed by a few male witches here , but it’s a slow process. But I have always heard that the word can mean traitor OR a spell singer . The jury is still out on it’s true origin here . Thank you for this video though , as it will help clear this up some ! Blessings to you brother !
Also, those who are interested looking up the orcandian Warlocks self-initiation role known as the 'Witch's Charm. I have never used the word ‘warlock’ to describe a male witch, mainly because my father - who was born in Scotland - told me that it meant ‘traitor’. Of course, your video gives me way more information, and I thank you for that. I have always considered ‘witch’ to be a non gendered word, and I’m much more comfortable with that word. Anyhow, thank you Scottish Cunning Person for just being here on TH-cam, I love your channel.
Aye well iv only ever heard people in Scotland use it another word for either a male witch or another word for witch. Then I see both words being used depending where you go in Scotland. Aww thank you, im glad you like my content 😊

It means you're conjuring demons, just like a witch. 🧹
