Nice bud. That is a thick ass knife! I think the price however puts it out of most peoples budgets.

Yeah, I did like it a lot that's why I went searching for it. By the way is the back spine sharp or just rounded? I like to be able to make wood powder with the spine.

Glass breaking pommel on a "survival" knife is useless. It would be better if it was designed for hammering instead. Elmax has great edge retention but tends to chip rather than roll. It is much more difficult to maintain the edge and resharpen it than with a softer steel. As a "survival" knife this is crucial. The price is too expensive for most. I would make it 3/16" thick and market it as a utility or combat knife instead of a survival knife. Good video as always.

Way way way expensive, I wonder how much the military spent per knife??? Anyways I hope the Navy Seals made the right choice, I personally would have loved to see K-bar do something crazy cool out of super steel for them.

Great review of the knife ! My survival knife is the light weight fixed blade SOG Seal Strike with the Deluxe Sheath. And the SOG Seal Strike goes well with the light weight Titanium Stove and a stove uses one half of the fuel of an open campfire ! But for the Heavy weight survival knife this looks like a great knife. Like the look and shape for the full tang of the blade. The glass breaker should do a number on the side window of a car, buss or the head of a zombie... Should make a nice addition to the 5.11 Tactical Nylon LBE Vest and save some weight by removing the nylon belt webbing. Thank you for a great review and video ! tjl

Hey EverydayTacticalVids, this was a great review. Been looking around for a knife that I’d be happy with and I believe I found it. Was wondering if you still had this knife, and if you do, if you’d consider selling it. Can’t find it anywhere! If you happen to see this, let me know! Much appreciated 🤙🏻

Say Heah, I defenetly will look into the Navy Seal approved 50/50. Right now, My Swamp Rat RatManDu is King of the Hill in that size. My knives in that 5"+ size are my O.K.C. Ranger Afghan, and the T.F.I. also my BK-2 along with O.K.C. Gen2 SP-47. and my Vintage Ka-Bar MK-1 Military Issue and I'm sure I forgot some but also my RMD. I once asked Mike Gavko about Elma and he said it's great but in a folder. But then he was sharing the edge extremely thin..I wish it was made in the 3V which is gaining popularity with me since I first got it with my Skookum Bush Tool and then my Bravo 1 and 1.5. I really love the SR101 (a Ballbearing Steel) done with the Busse Technology Temporing. Because it's so forgiving when I hit a stone when I baton. But anytime a Navy Seal used Knife, I will look into jt. Thanx for sharing and the heads-up.

$350.00 and the Web has it as a Flat Grind but with a Relief Edge like on a Saber Grind. Yeah, I defenetly will look into it, and it's a tich shy of a 1/5" which I like too. Again, Thanx.
