Ankylosaurus is the all-time Goat 🐐 🙌 😤 .... the OG OG tank class more armor then a stegosaurus and more damage. Don't get it twisted just cuz the name is hard doesn't mean it isn't the best
To be fair, Trespasser deserves credit for inspiring game mechanics in Half Life 2, Doom 3, and even Surgeon Simulator. Time has been kind to Trespasser, even if it was too ambitious for its day.
YEEEEES!! I adore the mega retrospectives putting context to an entire sub-genre of video games!! This kind of extreme depth and passion is exactly what made X-Play great and stood out from other video game reporting and entertainment industry examination... I know there was an entire team behind this but Jirard was a great voice of delivery for this.
Heard the voice and thought I clicked on a competitionist video on accident, then just thought the guy sounded similar.. then it cut to the man himself.
Sega could have with their experience with Ghost Squad and Gunblade/LA machine guns on the Wii. IMO I think Nintendo avoided embracing the Wii zappers potential and 3rd parties just went with trends and pumped out Shovelware
Evolution 2 is really good once you power through the campaign and a few challenges. Once you’ve got most unlocks, go to sandbox, no comfort worries or breakouts or power. You can set sandbox up to be catered to guests, or dinos, or a recreation of the original park. Without mods. Honestly probably the most satisfying game as far as the builders go, but yea… that’s movie games for ya.
One of my favorite memories as a young kid was playing the original arcade game at Chuck E Cheese with a friend. I was like 5 so we never beat it but it was always a lot of fun
what ppl don't know and the fossil record does not show is that stegosaurus actually carried their brain around in a sack that they kept with them. it saved head space and kept the brain cool during the warm season
Trespasser while not a great game was an influencial from the game mechanic perspective. And The Lost World for the Sega Genesis was an amazing game that I still love to play through.
I used to play the heck out of the SNES game back in the day. If it had some kind of save ability or password it would certainly have been more bearable.
I remember The Lost World on PS1 was a favorite of mine, pretty fun platforming and mechanics. Now Jirard, you're going to start in the middle of the map. You're gonna want to walk to the left to pick up some bolas, then head south through the gates. There are some raptors.
Trespasser - Which gave us one of the coolest modern AVGN episodes, in where Seamus Blackley himself makes an appearance and talks development troubles with James Rolfe.
The T-Rex that says SEGA at the beginning was amazing for me as a young teenager. My friends and I would mimic the sound by burping SEGA and see who does it best.
For me, this raised the question, "Did Richard Attenborough's documentary-star brother, David, do one on paleontology?" A well-phrased query later, I thought, "We had it coming, people."
I haven’t thought about it in years but I loved The Lost World Jurassic Park on PS1 when I was little! Would’ve never remembered it without this video.
I think the Jurassic World Evolution games are amazing! I have been playing 2 and have not even gone into sandbox. I am just working on the challenge mode to unlock skins.
I play Warpath the gameplay is not that bad, it's not tekken, nor is it Primal Rage, seriously no fighting game will be Primal Rage when you actually learn to play PR. hey to give you an idea, Maximilian Dood had a ton of fun with the game. Also i love Jurassic Park Rampage edition, playing as a raptor is a lot of fun, he's fast has a ton of moves it's pretty cool, and the TLW on psx and saturn is probably the only games you play as a Raptor from the tiger stripes tribe, so you can't go wrong with that. Raptors are my faves after all lol
Jurassic Park Operation Genesis is the goat of all Jurassic park games. I love the frontier evolution games also but the original was the goat and an absolute classic I wasted so many hours on and building hundreds of different parks back in the day. I used to go to school, plan out a park on A4, come home and build it. I’m actually in the process of buying it to replay it as feeling nostalgic recently. I would love for it to get a remaster. Keep the game mechanics and the feel, just update the graphics, with the same aesthetics, so we have a Jurassic park style park builder and a Jurassic world styled park builder in the evolution games.
I’ve only played the 1st Sega Genesis game! I was a kid and was amazed that you could play as either Grant or The Raptor! Nostalgia is really taking me back!
The PC version of the original Jurassic Park game was a lot more flushed out had a lot from the book that were not included in other games and the movie
This video REEKS of QUALITY. Amazingly made, I love all of these little details. I watched it for the 1997 sega game, but got hooked throughout. I love y'all at Xplay!
No love for the excellent two Jurassic Park pinball games despite inclusion of arcade games. The Data East JP and the newer Stern JP both feature T-Rexs eating your pinball!
There used to be a game that was just like The Lost world genesis game but had more SmashTV / Dead Ops arcade elements it had CO-OP and was nearly identical to the game, you had to rescue a sick triceratops, you got to ride around in the vehicles and there was a mission where you have to defend a captured tyrannosaurs as it calls in waves and waves of enemies and wait for a Helicopter with tranquilizers to evac you. the game was basically the Lost world game with the difficulty cranked up to 11. I swear it's a real game and I just spent an hour trying to find it but I can't. If someone can help me find the game I'm thinking of lmk. It's was pixelart top down shooter and visually was slightly better than the lost world and had helicopters, and evacs at the end of the levels! but otherwise is basically the same game. I'm pretty sure it was on Genesis / SNES and was a fairly bloody game. I could have sworn it was a Jurassic Park game
I can’t believe you guys picked a mobile game over the Genesis game, or the TellTale game. Kind of bums me out you guys only thought three games were good and one is mobile game. I think a lot of people, including myself, don’t even touch mobile games. Maybe I’m at a loss, but I just can’t stand “gaming” on my cell phone.
Ohhh im excited to see if the rare game i know will be missed in this list will update coment when done watching if it was missed and what it was. Ahh it was mentioned but not gone into scan comand such an odd intresting mechanism
Wait, no comment on Danger Zone, Dino Defender, or Dinosaur Battles??? I know they were bad, but I still played them as a kid and was looking forward to the discussion. 😞
I played the tall tale game Im glad I wasn't the only one who laughed at the killing scenes. It was such a silly lame fun game. At first I thought it was a joke. It was fun. U missed jurassic park dinosaur hunter for the PS3.
I take issue with the statement that Jurassic World Alive is a ripoff of pokemon go. While it's initial release definitely was, the games continued updates has made the game something different and better. For example it actually has turn based battling rather than just spam tapping, it has a functional guild system, more cooperative raids, and campaign battles. While the monetization features are more intrusive and annoying you can definitely ignore and unlock every dino with patience.
I remember Jurassic park for the super nes and it a frist person shooter that made everyone sick I took to it but bug the saga Jurassic Park it looked cool
This is such a cool video! Jurassic Park is my favorite movie of all time. And not only that, it's one of my favorite books. I actually just made a video on my channel going through a lot of the books, movies, and games that make up the franchise. Sound off in the comments section! Would love to hear what your favorites are.
About alive not agree because freaking Pokemon Go pokeballs exist only on moment like places when Alive Supply points exist everywhere and even near your home
It's one thing to disrespect my beloved LEGO games(and LEGO Jurassic World is one of the best btw), but to have that godawful Pokemon Go rip-off cash-grab mobile pay-to-win garbage be your #3 pick over a legit game is just sad.
Why is TheFatJewish so anti-JP games? You can’t play these games today for the first time and truly appreciate them. You have to have played them at the time they came out to do that. Most of these games were great when they first came out. Not all, but most. All credibility went out the window when rating Operation Genesis number 3 behind JW Alive. LMAO. A friggin mobile game. What an absolute joke. The Lost World arcade game is not a bad choice for number one. JP Rampage Edition should be up there, as should The Lost World for PS1 with multiple playable species. Warpath was also fun game for the time, and the JP Sega CD game was pretty groundbreaking too. Chaos Island was pretty great, you could take dinosaur eggs and hatch them to control for yourself which was pretty cool. I played that game a ton as a kid. I will say though, Trespasser was decidedly awful. In fact awful doesn’t really describe how bad that game was…but it still had some redeeming qualities. The sounds and ambience were amazing for the time. As were the graphics for the most part. There were some moments in that game which were very cool. As a kid playing it, it was different. To look at it now for the first time through modern eyes is completely unfair.
@@jeremymorrow9477 It isn’t merely about video game franchise history it’s about digging up and playing every tie-in game in a movie franchise. In this case specifically the Jurassic Park franchise. And RKG did that specific concept first. And did it better.

Littlefoot, who is a Apatosaurus.
Allosaurus. I always thought they looked like a rock star. Maybe they play bass in Gwar or Slipknot.
T-Rex who doesn’t think they’re gnarly?
Ankylosaurus 🏅
I would love to see a breakdown of the state and fall of VR games from inception to again falling out of favor
To be fair, Trespasser deserves credit for inspiring game mechanics in Half Life 2, Doom 3, and even Surgeon Simulator. Time has been kind to Trespasser, even if it was too ambitious for its day.
Definitely. It looks like an indie VR game from like 2016 lmao.

I would gladly pay $50 for a console port of Lost World Arcade. I so hoped it would have came to Wii when on rail shooters were popular.
Sega could have with their experience with Ghost Squad and Gunblade/LA machine guns on the Wii.
IMO I think Nintendo avoided embracing the Wii zappers potential and 3rd parties just went with trends and pumped out Shovelware
I saw the title said EVERY Jurassic Park game, and I audibly said "oh no", and clicked.
Me TOO! #?
Did they cover the GBA games? I can't seem to recall or find it.
Yeah, yeah
@@ericthe7177 No, they glossed over all the portable titles except the original Game Boy one. They were mentioned, but that was it.
If you want a deeper dive into the games, I definitely recommend checking out RKG's series on the topic! They've done one for Alien recently as well.

Yes. Not many people know that Michael giacchino started his composition career as a video game composer.
It is unbelievably hard to find good games in the Jurassic Park franchise.

The music in the Ocean SNES game is awesome. Best music of all versions.

Jurassic Park 3: Scan Commando for the PC was awesome. With my most favorite JP game being Jurassic Park: The Telltale Series.
