I wanted to ask you about residency permit and when is the best time to apply for one after you get your anmeldung. Should I apply for it right away? Or should I wait after I get my Tax ID? Thanks
@@sketchupguru Glad to hear things worked out :-) Because it can take quite a long time to book a suitable residence permit appointment, I recommend starting the process right away. Your tax ID is not needed for your residence permit application so don't let this delay your application :-)

I'm moving to berlin hopefully in 2 weeks and I was very nervous about these kinds of processes since I'm not a German speaker yet ...Thanks, now I'm only stressed that I'm gonna have to stay in an Airbnb Apartment for the first 40 days and I don't know if they'd let me register with that address or not.
Hi Nazanin - the majority of Airbnbs and hotels do not offer Anmeldung - I recommend always confirming if this is possible before committing to any accommodation in Berlin :-)

may i ask do you have any idea how do i change my business work address to another address because im lost and currently out of hope. Can't find the right office or so to manage to change it. They wont let me work because the address is mistaken and they told me that i need to change it. And i have no idea where should i head to be able 100% to change it. can you help?
If you refresh the appointment booking platform regularly from 7.30 a.m. on weekdays, you should be able to secure an appointment at short notice. This sometimes takes a bit of persistence but you can generally secure a same-week appointment within a couple of hours of refreshing.

Hi there! Yep, you are still required to prove your civil status even though you are moving on your own. Therefore, you should still show your original marriage certificate as well as a certified German translation of this certificate
