Luke you are doing so well in situations most would crap themselves, give yourself some credit you’ve got this. Having a supportive brother too, this is the perfect time to move forward. Good luck buddy, the glass is half full!
That's so super nice, thanks so much!! Luke has got this, he will beat it and be med free. I will support him all the way. Sailing cures depression ⛵
Another mint episode lads Luke im a vet and have had to deal with my own demons I'm so happy for you and thank you for sharing your story. You guys are my inspiration. keep going lads
Thanks Adi 🤙
We hope you are coping well with your own demons, if you need to chat reach out!
@@TheSailingBrothers I may take you up on that (be careful was you wish for lol). Seriously thank you, just keep posting videos that inspire me and drive me on to get my own bast and follow in your wake. Fair weather and following see lads
Well done Luke. It's a big step so I'd feel a little scared - the same as you. And double well done for talking about it. Not enough blokes have the bravery to do so. 👍
Keep up the adventures!
Well said sir!
Thanks Owen. I really appreciate your words. Small men should talk about mental health as well as women. It's a bit of a sore subject 🙄
🤙
I've been there myself. What you're doing is definitely the best medicine. Sailing has definitely helped me in that respect. I just recently found your channel and have been bingewatching for a while now. Best pure sailing channel on u tube. Having a great brother to sail with doesn't hurt either. Don't forget the cheese.
That is awesome! ✌️
Sounds like you are really enjoying the adventure perfect 😄
You guys are amazing. More balls than most of the sailors on TH-cam! Luke, hang in there brother. A lot of us have been in your shoes as far as anti-depressants. You can do it!
Thanks Dale
We try our best and just go with the flow 😁
If anyone can do it Luke can
Oh that was exciting. Clutching my morning mug of tea and my knuckles are white . Well done as always .
It was a very exciting interesting sail Christine. Best enjoyed with a hot mug of tea 🍵
Great episode…again…one word…respect! Raw sailing…challenging weather, cold food, honesty…& not a bikini in sight. & Luke…thank you!
No thank you Peter!! Really got you enjoyed the episode it is what it is sailing ⛵😁😜
Luke, you've done more in the last 2yrs than most would do in a lifetime, you're both incredibly brave and such good sailers, you don't need to worry about anything because you've done it already , you've passed the test with flying colours and now you need to pass on what you've learnt to others , which you're doing with this epic voyage. You're both an inspiration.
Wow thank you Stephen really really nice words very kind of you to say! 👌😁
It's been a crazy 2 years and we have learned so much. Onwards and upwards
A guy once said to me I got cerebral palsy what's your problem?
Point is we all got problems but can overcome and enjoy life. Good luck to you.
Thank you for such a fantastic comment
Another great episode boys. Luke, you can manage without the tablets- look what you have achieved so far. Fresh air and challenges are the best medicine. It works for me and it seems to be working for you. Good luck guys.
Thanks Chris
Fresh air and sailing is better than any tablets you can take. Hopefully things will settle down and medication will be a thing of the past 😁
HI LUKE VERY BRAVE TO SHARE YOUR ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION ISSUES ...I HAVE SUFFERED FROM THE SAME OVER 10 YEARS ! WAS O N FLUOXITINE AND NOW ON SETRALINE ...WE CAN ALL GET OVER IT WITH TIME I HOPE ??? AT LEAST YOU HAVE YOUR GOOD AND LOVING FRIEND ADAM TO HELP YOU THROUGH !!! TAK E CARE BOTH ..A X
Hey 🤙 i can recall taking those two particular anti-depressants over the years. It's been around 4 weeks now and I'm feeling a lot better, yes there is hope! Adam will support me all the way through. Cheers bud 💪👌
You are not alone,, and you do the right thing,, its a part of the process..keep up my friend🏋🏻♀️🤟🏋🏻♀️
Thank you M K very kind words 😁
I've said it before and I have to say it again. Your seascapes and the way you capture your surroundings and experiences far surpass any other sailing channels I watch. Full of admiration for you Luke in your attempt to not wanting to rely on medication. It reminds me of something I've seen often where people with issues have become involved in community gardening projects and it's helped them immensely; something about adding another positive dimension to your life which diminishes a negative dimension. So great that two Brothers can have such a wonderful, supportive relationship.
Thank you Phed🤙 we seem to be doing things right and don't even know it 😁. I don't think Luke could have ever come off his antidepressants without sailing. It's so very good for his soul and doing something you love and are passionate about is the key.
30 knots, rain, rail in the water...and the lads from Cardiff are making mac n cheese! You guys are killing it!
Don't you know it 😁😁😁😁💪💪💪💪
What a brilliant trip . Luke a lot of respect to you for mentioning coming of antidepressants a big well done thay are horrible things to be on . I been there . And buying my boat which I have had for 26 years now saved me . Going sailing is a lot more better than tablets. You have a wonderful brother in Adam . You both work perfectly as a team . I have just done a yacht delivery from Cardiff to Plymouth love being at sea relaxing on the mind . Take care the both of you x
Thanks Joannar. I have been on them long enough and it's time to end. I do think sailing is a cure for my depression. I find it really good for my mind plus lots of exercise. Adam is a really good guy he gives me lots of support. Sounds like you had a great time on your yacht delivery ⛵🤙
@@TheSailingBrothers sailing cured me . I don’t like to imagine we’re I’d be with out my sailboat. But just take one day at a time and enjoy your trip
I think you are a very brave and honest person, Luke. I really admire you! 😊
Thanks so much 🙏 very kind of you to say
I think that message and having the strength to share your personal fight with depression and anxiety gave so much positivity to other sufferers like my self Big up the pair of you 👍🏼👍🏼
It was very brave of Luke to talk about his mental health. I'm really glad it has helped you and others ✌️✌️
That was an awesome trip! Looked like so much fun. I can't wait for sailing season to come around. I'm snowed in right now. Luke! You f-ing rock man! You have so much untapped strength in you man. The strength it takes just to share that with all of us strangers is inspiring. You SO got this! Many blessings to you both!
Hey D J
It was quite the day. We expected a couple of showers but we weren't expecting that! Spring is around the corner get that boat ready ⛵
Thanks for your really nice words it means a lot to him 👌
Go Luke 💪💪💪💪💪
What a full on passage!
Guess neither of you get sea sick any more.
Reconnecting with nature and the open Ocean heals the mind. So pleased you are regaining mental health Luke.
Surprisingly we do get seasick now and again. It's very rare now and doesn't last very long. Sailing and the open ocean does heal the mind 💪
Ride them waves cowboys.
Haha, it was great fun
John Perry (Aust.)
Once again a great video. Glad to hear that you are getting off the tablets, Luke. Well done!! I can see the difference in your sailing skills since you started. Always looking forward to Monday mornings here, when I wake to find your latest video. No nonsense just good honest posts. Stay safe and good sailing.
Hey John
I am so pleased to be antidepressant free. I would like to think we have improved as sailors during the last two years 😁. Every Sunday 6:00 p.m. or Monday morning for you ⛵
Luke, you're on the road to complete freedom, rocky roads are never easy and the journey is all the more rewarding when you arrive at your destination. God Bless you mate and keep the faith.
Thank you J G
It is a rocky road but hopefully it will get a lot smoother. Adam will help me all the way 💪
Yup, the sailing relieves stress and depression. Getting off the meds is hard. Brain flashes, electrical currents behind the eyes. It takes bravery to do it while wondering who is going to emerge at the end of it. Big hug. 😊
Hey Glen
Luke thinks sailing has been a huge help with anxiety and depression. The doctor should prescribe it 😁. He was very brave to talk about it on camera. Cheers Glen
Both of you stay strong ❤your living the dream through thick and thin 👍❤️👍
Thanks Kev 🙏
We are very lucky to be living this dream
Hey Luke , you and me pal .
Lots of us here with depression issues. You are in the right place with the right guy to have your back. Keep on going on boys!
Hey Phil
Depression affects so many people it's a terrible illness. Trying my best hopefully I can get through this 💪
Atlas took on those squalls and proved herself once again , what a great sailing boat she is , good luck with tablet thing Luke eat healthy mate and good on Adam for supporting you fair winds and Blue Skies
We really have picked the best boat for this adventure. Thanks John hopefully things will work out with the tablets and Adam will be by my side 💪
The support you have for each other and the camaraderie is enviable, which will get you guys through anything the ocean throws at you. I agree with Adam, "you are on a Rival". True sailing machine.
I do think we make a fantastic team out on the open ocean Craig and we could not do it in any other boats apart from the king Rival ⛵😁
You both have a community to support you. Wishing you all the best!
We have the biggest community support ever 👏
Great sailing footage as usual, men. Luke, with all the folks following your travels - be well - carry on - we've got your back!
We have so much support here on TH-cam it's unbelievable Michael 🙏
Good old Atlas lads, she looked after my two favourite TH-camrs again 👌🏻
You are doing great Luke, if you can go without those med’s that would awesome,
My dad used to say to me, if you think you are in a bad place, there are loads of people worse off than you, I use that to keep my chin up about things that get me down,
🏴🏴🏴🏴
Hey Martin
Yep good old atlas does it again! Luke is certainly getting there. I think it's being nearly 4 weeks now without any meds. Don't get me wrong he has his bad days but you are right there are always people worse off.
Thanks Mart 💪🤙
Well done guys. Great sailing in tough conditions. Luke gets the gold star. very honest and a tough time in any conditions, let alone todays weather. Very well done. Hang in there. We are all on your side.
Thank you David much appreciated! Luke very much appreciates the support thanks David 🤙
It's brotherly love, or Adam's cooking. Nice seas to go for a daysail. You boys have brought us along and maybe were a little bit of moral support and tons of good positive thoughts for both of you. Thanks so much for making my day better- rick
Another great episode guys! Thanks for sharing your adventure. You guys keep it real and fun to watch with humor and wit.
Keep that sailing and cheese coming our way. Luke wishing you the best on getting off the antidepressants. It's brave to be sharing to that level. Just know we, your fans and followers, are rooting for you big time. That Rival will take more than than you'll ever want to experience in the not so fun department. You can count on it
It's probably a bit of both and the horrendous cooking Rick 🤣🤣. It's all about the support we have received on TH-cam, Facebook and patron from amazing people! Thank you for making our day better Rick 👌💪
Thank you Scott. We filmed these episodes how they were on the day keeping it real and honest also with plenty of cheese. Hopefully things will work out life off the drugs with all the amazing support we have. The Rival it's the only boats we will need 👌⛵
@@TheSailingBrothers I'm still waiting for the twist on baked spaghetti or pizza spaghetti. Bannock bread or traditional flat bread is such a treat and easily made with little oil and flour and some water. Basic flour is all you need, what possible could go wrong on a rocking pitching rolling yatch with Adam's cooking show. Take care gentlemen and we have already seen how well you do in locks and that experience has already given you a feel for what's ahead. Rick
@@dogmom6010 thanks Rick maybe one day haha, we are not really nervous about going through the locks to be honest as we sailed out of Cardiff bay where we have to go through a lock every time.
The nervous thing is all the logistics and trying to get everything right
You've go good boat there for those condtions, but the most importat thing you have on the boat is the support of each other. That's what will get you through anything.
👍 So true!
Thanks James that is really nice of you to say. We do have a great little boat and rely on each other 🤙
👌
God bless to you both, especially you Luke. It took a lot of bravery to tell us that story. You’re in my prayers hang in there and take each day one at a time. 🙏
Thank you very much indeed. Taking each day as it comes and feeling a lot better 😉
Looks like you handled the squalls very well. Nicely sailed.
Thank you so much Patrick it is an absolute pleasure to have a comment like that from you 😁😁😁
Well done Luke, 15 years along time to be on meds, I myself have depression mixed with manic episodes, came off meds over 2 years ago, so pleased I have, there was a little adjustment period of a couple of weeks, but now I'm more in touch with life, good and bad, but real. Thanks for sharing, Big ups to Adam too for being your support through this transition. Fair winds. Time spent fishing doesn't come off your lifespan, free time, by order of an ancient Pharaoh, can't remember which one but I like it.
Hey Rob
Yes 15 years is a long time to be on medication and it's going to take me a while to feel normal again after stopping them. Congratulations being off your meds for 2 years that is some going. Adam is a great brother he will support me all the way 💪👌
It is good to tell people so others in your position can feel less also. I would never have known you suffered. Fair play to you fella!👏👏👏👏
Warren
Hey Warren
It really is healthy to talk about issues you are going through it helps a lot. On woods and upwards ⛵
Helps you and others. NOTHING to be ashamed of.! Well done buddy 👍👏⚓️⛵️
@@legend343 thanks very much 🙏
Amazing guys. They just keep getting better and better. Best sailing channel by far.
Thank you Neil 😁💪
Put a spoonful of curry powder into your can off beans bit of a stir and away you go and go and go …..
Curry beans sounds right up my street Pat 😁
Well done Luke, stopping your medication, your brother is a good therapist!😊
I like to believe I am Rene 😁
Hats off to Luke. To overcome by going to sea, embracing the suck and taking yourself off the meds is a great thing. I have a 12 yo lad in my care with anxiety disorder and although everyone's situation is different, it has helped me as his carer. Sail away hey!?
Luke was really brave for coming off the meds. I bet you're doing a fine job taking care of your son I hope he is ok 🙏✌️
Well done for eating cold beans and facing your fears - great to watch you both as always
I really quite enjoyed my cold baked beans 😜
I like your up front out look. Hang in see you in NZ I hope
Thank you Phil 👍
Hope we can meet up in NZ
Good job, guys. We know how challenging this is. But you have a good boat and the skill to use her. We'll send up a prayer for your safe arrival.
Thank you very much 😁⛵
We couldn't be in a better boat
Go Atlas
Adam and Luke you two are incredible proper sailors. In conditions like that I would wear brown corduroy underpants! Atlas is a fine vessel and is doing well keep it going boys.
Luke you are doing well, stay positive. As Captain Chris would say "Good job" I really enjoy watching you two boys and so does many other people. " THANK YOU BOTH"
I like to think we have improved as sailors after all these miles we have put under the mast. Those were pretty challenging conditions but Atlas did a great job. Luke is doing well off the meds may it continue. Thanks John 🤙⛵😁
An exhilarating sail, beautifully mastered, and as for Atlas, I couldn’t see any play in the shrouds either, taking it all in her stride!
Lucky guys to be at sea, I am sure it is the best cure for mind and soul... for me, it certainly is! 🌈
Safe sailing, take care 👍
😎
Thanks Bruce mate
Atlas did a fantastic job as always and her rig is nicely tightened. We are extremely lucky and thankful everyday ⛵😁
Well done Luke, you guys are an example for the rest of us. At leased for me.
Thank Marco ✌️
Well done boy’s - that was a tough passage… Luke - you’ve got this buddy 👍🏼
I hope so Andy 🙏
Nice one people. Great sail and good on you Luke. Life is scary but you to take it to the limits. Keep up the most enjoyable vlogs on TH-cam
Thank you so much sailing sheriff 👌👌💪💪
Oh no! Gravy on the floor!! Sack the chef!!!😂
You do know Luke licked the floor 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good on ya, Luke. Brave. Courageous. Honest.
Thank you CYC 🤙
Cold beans are Delicious!!!
You’re not alone Luke! After years of using them, I decided to quit as well about a year ago, I’m sure you’ll be fine with Adam as a mate there! You guys make me so happy!❤
Thanks job 👌
Luke is getting on very well off his meds. I'll look after him 😜
Great sail boys, much respect. This life your living is all about resilience and self reliance; I hope you find it the perfect antidote to depression Luke!
It really is the best life we are living Alex and we couldn't be in a better position. It was time to give up the tablets, the right time!
Your both amazing and Luke so proud of you make living your life your drug keep going your doing so well love you both stay safe x
Thank you so much Sammy 👌. Hopefully Luke will be drug-free for the rest of his life
Really appreciate hearing your honesty in your videos, particularly about mental health. Me and my partner love your videos and they keep us inspired back in the UK that one day we could do something similar. ⛵️
We would recommend sailing around the UK. It's such an amazing cruising area with lots to see and do. Get out on that water 🌊
It’s days at sea like that one that make you appreciate the good days so much more! Shame you missed Hogsty Reef!
It sure does make you appreciate the easy sailing days!
Well said Luke, wishing you all the best. Enjoying watching you guys and your adventures
Thanks for your kind wishes Adam 🙏
Huge respect to you both, for the seamanship and personal challenges.
Well done.
Thank you Robert so much appreciated buddy 👌
Another great video Luke i also find it hard to talk about my mental health but when I do I feel better also a good cry sometimes is even better. We are all here for you keep smiling Steve
Wow thank you Steve 😁
It does feel a lot better to talk about it and I'm not afraid to admit a nice cry help now and again 😢
Bravo les deux frères, vous êtes bien amariné maintenant. Bonne continuation 👍
Thank you Pier very much appreciated 🤙
Thank you Pier 😁
Moving forward, stay strong Luke the world is with you....
Thanks Steve 👌
Problem shared .. problem halved ... rooting for you guys .... LUKE .. u r doing great .. to the future....
Thank you Neil 👌💪
Like a well oiled machine you two must be doing stuff without even thinking about it. You sailed that like the pro's you are. Awesome.
Meanwhile my boat goes back in Thurs next week in Dartmouth, can't wait.
Thanks oowee much appreciated. Atlas did it again! She is such a well set up boat with a good crew 😉, I think 😂. Your boat's going in the water early. I bet you've got lots of plans
Great work guys! Lot of respect for your seamanship and Atlas is a terrific boat keeping you safe. Kudos to Luke for your open and honest discussion on depression - not easy to talk about. Hope all goes well. Love the way you two support each other.
We really could not have picked a better boat Johnny. Hopefully Luke will continue to improve after the meds are gone 👌. Support is key
You guys really are the best. Great sail, great episode. Well done..
Also well done to Luke. Karen wanted to say congratulations to you for coming off your medication..... 👍 What a team you are. 👏
Thank you Stefanm and Karen. Thought you enjoyed the episode and Luke appreciates the support with the tablets 👌
Takes alot to speak about such issues luke, well done pal, your with good company im sure your brother will help keep you sane. Loving the channel keep at it guys. 😜😜🫶🏻🫶🏻
I do try my best to keep him sane Steven 😂😂 but it's not always easy being crazy myself. Onwards and upwards
That is typical South Pacific weather. You are getting in some good practice for Pacific squalls
Sounds like we've got lots to look forward to then Tony 🤣🤣
Outstanding episode. 8 years here on antidepressants. Stopping them was interesting with the brain smarts, like a small electric shock on the brain, purely random... Apart from that, keeping busy with an active day...... Well, sailing an ocean is about as active as you can get... Your channel is so refreshingly watchable. Thank you for sharing...
Hey Colin
Thanks buddy really glad you enjoyed this week's episode. Depression is really helped by exercise and doing things you love like sailing. It's an absolute pleasure sharing our own adventure ⛵😁
Wow what a crazy day sail, you guys rock! All the very best guys
Thank you Richard 😊
Great vid once again. Thanks for sharing your life with us. You sound strong and honest. Stay strong brother and seek God.
It's a pleasure thank you Dan 🤙
It is good to see how real sailing can be. We all need medication at times, so if you need it to take it. Come off slowly. I don't know what it is like, but I have a dear friend who suffers. keep safe and look after Atlas.
Not all sailing is Blue skies come sees and bikinis. Sometimes it can be very challenging and uncomfortable. I have been coming off the tablets very slowly and think I am getting there 💪
Luke, thank you. Many suffer this (me too) and YES the cure oftentimes for me is to get on my boat and sail. Stay well :-)
The doctors should give out sailing tickets 😁⛵💪⛵⛵
Sorry to hear you suffer from depression Mike
Mate, you will be fine. You've done it properly going nice n slow and there's plenty of people here to back you up.
Thank you so much for the support 😁
Re the depression.... Luke, your honesty is really moving and I wish you all the best.... a great work-out really helps with mood swings and depression .... it works for me.....and you can do it on the boat at anchor, or land. You don't need a gym. There are a whole bunch of workouts on youtube you can follow along with that will work for you!
Regarding a good workout we do a lot of jogging and I find it really helps. Some say yoga is very helpful. Thanks for the advice woodman 💪
awesome video again. Well done Luke on your comments on depression and medication and you have helped so many people and shown them it can be done :)
Cheers Paul
I would like to think I have maybe helped people who are suffering the same illness 🙏
Cold beans oh no. Kraft Mac and cheese oh no. COOK Noodles extra sharp cheddar cheese some stewed tomatoes and bake it.
You two are headed in the right direction. Count your blessings and keep enjoying the simple life and wind.
Trust and ask for God's wisdom. Your a great team.
Thank you
enjoy your ride
Anything would have been better than cold beans but at the time it was all I could muster. We do cook some pretty mean food on anchor. We are extremely lucky to be in this position sailing full time 💪
Luke, well done for being open about mental health. I was lucky twice - mid twenties the NHS identified issues which meant I understood my issues which was not 'cure' but helped. A change in life aged 50 made a real improvement.
Well done for 'coming off' anti-depressants. I wish you well and hope your change in life helps you!! Keep looking forward and realise what you and Adam have acheived !!!
Hey Nigel
That is really nice that's the NHS identified the changes and helped you. I hope you continue to live a very happy life. Luke has done really well, let it continue
It's been a crazy 2 years cruising, we are incredibly lucky ✌️⛵
Some proper sailing conditions.. nicely captured. Looking forward to the next video...🙂👍
Thanks Hill, all in a day's work ⛵
Steaming along lads. Superb and more excitement. Didn't know about you coming off anti depressants but it's often a change of environment that works. I couldn't imagine a better time where you are to move forwards naturally. Love life 👍
We were really taking a bit of a battering, challenging tough but enjoyable sail
I have been coming off my medication now for quite some time and feel a lot better already 🤙
Another great sailing video guys. Good to see the challenges of your adventures are having a positive affect on you Luke. Very good luck to you both. You are an inspiration 😃
Thank you Darren
Sailing has really changed our lives especially Luke with his depression.
Thanks so much for your kind words 😁
Truly inspirational in every respect! Love your videos every week.
Thank you Simon
Thanks for leaving your comment and watching the videos much appreciated 🤙
I believe in you, the way you handle and be open off the depression looks like you can handle, you are busy with what you like to do, and with or without pills you will managed👍👍👍❤️
Thank you Anton. Really appreciate what you said 💪👍⛵
I admired you both for your honesty and said so before. Luke your statement about depression must have taken a lot of thought and courage. Well done you and also to brother he must be great support to you. Good luck in your quest to go r
Free of the anti depressants.
Hi Morgan
Thanks very much buddy much appreciated. It was really brave off Luke to let everyone know about his antidepressants. Adam is a fantastic support 👌
Luke I really appreciate your honesty, not always an easy subject to discuss. That was a difficult passage but once again you guys handled it beautifully, well done! Glad to see you’ve come up with a few more recipes for your cookbook 😂. Cheers.
Thanks Debbie. I thought it was the right time to tell everyone. It was a difficult passage but overall a fun experience and we learned a lot 😁🤙
appreciate you sharing your thought process in planning next sail. waves were amazing, atlas seems to ride them well, enjoy your sleep
No problem at all Harry it's a pleasure. Atlas is one hell of a boat ⛵. Cheers Harry
Luke, just remember that if your symptoms come back, it's OK! Don't be in denial if that happens. You're better off on meds with symptoms controlled than off meds with uncontrolled symptoms. There's no shame in needing to go back on the meds. That said, I hope you thrive off your meds!!!
It's been okay so far I have had my ups and downs but recently I think I have to turn the corner. If I have any bad symptoms I will have to start retaking them again but I hope not
Luke, thanks for your honesty. I suffer from Tri-Geminal Neuralgia, they call it the suicide decease as the pain is unbelievable and some people cant cope with it. I have had it for the last 13 years. Surgery is not an option for me. I take a whole cocktail of drugs to cope with it, two of which are antidepressants as they are meant to calm the nerve endings in my face. My doctor made an interesting comment recently, which was that you should continue to take antidepressants for two years after you feel that you do not feel you need them anymore. So please be careful when coming off of antidepressants. The withdrawal should be a very slow process.
Both you and Adam are an inspiration to many people. You are both so humble, you clearly love and respect both each other and Atlas.
Stay safe guys.
Hey Andy
We are very sorry to hear about your illness it sounds really tough but you sound like the guy who can beat it! You must be a very strong person Andy 💪. Luke will be very careful coming off his meds. He has been slowly coming off them for the past 6 months but has his ups and downs. I will give him as much support as he needs along the journey. Thanks Andy for posting this message 👍
great episode! Stay off the drugs they are not needed! Be safe and keep rolling! 👍👍
Well said Matt 🤙💪
@@TheSailingBrothers 👍👍
Another great episode, I am glad you filmed the squall and talked about that, it was a good descriptive passage and realistic as to what sudden squalls can be like. It's good to see you relaxing and enjoying the sailing life.
Hey Ray
If anyone is wondering what sailing in squalls it's really like! It's very manageable as long as you have the right set up 😁
Great boat, great brothers great sail. ⛵💥😄
Sounds great 😁
Top man Luke for being up front about mental health. I would have never have guessed. You two always have a big smile on your faces. What you are doing is great for your health. The whole world at your feet. And nobody telling you what to do. It’s something I would love to do myself, but sadly I have a mortgage ,kids , job and the misses hates sailing with a passion. I have always loved the sea and boats. Spent a lot of my childhood on holiday in Weymouth watching the-yachts sail out of the harbour. Wishing it was me . Life kind of got in the way when I was younger. Now I’m 50 and don’t know where the times gone. So now I have watched your channel from when you started it. So I’m letting you guys do the hard work , while I sit at home enjoying the experience lol . Keep up the great channel.
Ps I would love to meet you guys when you get back to the UK. You are a great inspiration you us TH-camrs .
Kind regards Mark Clifton
Hey Mark
I don't feel sad everyday my medication suppressed my feelings but now I have stopped I am feeling much more myself. Is there any way you could twist your wife's arm? Sounds like you have a passion for sailing and it's in your blood.
We could definitely reach out when we get back to the UK 🤙🥶💪
I afraid my partner won’t budge on that. She hates the sea. I do love sailing, but I have never got around to learn then buy a yacht. It does prove one thing with you guys. You don’t have to be rich and have a large fancy yacht to sail around the world.
It would be great to meet you two when you get back to uk. I look forward to that.
Kind regards Mark.
Take care guys.
Wow! What a trip! You so inspire me to get out and sail further than I usually do in the summer! Maybe I'll hit Cape Cod from Mt Sinai, NY this summer (Long Island Sound start point). Luke, we're all with you! You are an inspiration to everyone watching you guys!!
That's a great idea Mickey. If you can and have the time get out and do some longer passages, there is nothing like it!
Luke is certainly getting there thanks to all the support!
Cheers Mickey 👍
That was a great episode . Well done all round for some great sailing in quiet a tough point of sail for those conditions. Its good to see you loving your boat.
So good of you to share your health and ex medication Luke. Just awesome that you are doing so well medication free . I would have felt concerned too in that weather .
It was quite tricky to stay on target and not fall off the wind in those conditions. It's been around 4 weeks since the medication was stopped. He is already feeling a lot better 👌
Wow that was a great vid Just remember Luke theres allways sun after the rain
Good luck and plod on
I will always remember that thank you Rob 😁
Great sailing,, and great film, as always! You are really good at capturing what it’s like to be on passage, time passing slowly as you patiently make your way to the destination. Although that one did look quick at times! And well done Luke for talking about your meds, hope that goes well for you 👍 Chris
Hey Chris
Thanks buddy really glad you enjoyed this week's episode. We never expected to encounter that kind of weather when we left that morning. Atlas looked after us very well again she is such a good boat and her crew isn't too bad either 🤣🤣. Thanks for coming along!
Love your channel and your individual courage to sail like this
Thank you Sean 🤙
Love you guy's! Love your channel! Keep it going!
Thank you Maarten 😁
Great episode, still binge watching as much as I can. Luke, good on you, I know it's a while ago now when you came off your meds, but you've got a fantastic bloke stood next to you to keep you going (even if he bugs the crap out of you sometimes I'm sure!!!!) keep it up, I'll get up to date with you both soon!!
You're certainly catching up fast. Super glad enjoying the episodes 😃. It has been a while since he came off his meds and it's been great thanks. You are right, I do annoy him sometimes 😂😂😂
