Before I started playing through chap 1 of AC 6, I put in my pilot name as Internecine, named my AC Pulverizer, recreated as many of the logos of Last Raven on the emblem maker and painted my AC as faithfully close to a Pulverizers colors. My roleplay of this is 621 has a fragment of the Internecine on them that has complete recollection of the Ravens memories in AC:LR, hence all the Last Raven callbacks I've made. At the end of chap 1.... WHAT A SURPRISE!!! My backstory manifested.
if future updates are in the cards for AC6 I hope FS expands the builds available for more creative styles of play. Like a set dedicated for electronic warfare which could be treated in terms of AC gameplay as a pacifist run. Where instead of blowing up enemy mechs the parts or weapons for this fighting style is configured to disable enemy mechs by -hacking- their machines. To incentivize this further maybe this could have the added benefit of letting players -harvest- parts/weapons from disabled bosses if FS lets us do that with this build. Maybe have it be a supplementary element to melee. Off the top my head FS can set it up where you have to tag the enemy mech each melee hit messing with the enemy's FCS depending on the electronic warfare capabilities of any given mech or set of parts. Maybe a mod for this might be cool. I also wish there would be a Valkyria Chronicles style tactical rpg spin off for AC. I love the front mission games but VC style just feels like it would fit AC very well~

And if this reintroduction does good enough, then I'm sure they're gonna let loose with the next one in the storyline.. at least I hope they stick to how they did the old one's and have a second one in the same time-line.
I use a medium build with a pile bunker, linear rifle and vertical missles along with a regular plasma missile launcher. This bad boy carried me almost all my first playthrough and needed to change it to the Iceworm, getting reverse joint legs to be able to carry the weapon required for it
That bloody spider took me 2+ hours and eventually I ended up swapping up my build and using the pile bunker which just melted it. It feels like I cheated tbh
It was a FromSoftware game "Get Gud" type deal first playthrough, is a night and day for the second playthrough. The skill increase was worth the grind

I encountered only one bug;i got stuck inside the boss at the end of operation wall climber. The back left treadwhich gave me full access to his weak spot while also being in a unattackable state (dont worry it happened during my 2nd playthrough after beating the mission numerous times
I don't know why I'm still skeptical about From software games, thinking will I like this. But they never disappoint. This is not a type of game I usually play, but I love it. The gameplay is so fun!

AC4A. The game that's too easy because you can perpetually fly, and has windows backgrounds for skyboxes. Sidedash in minimal time until the game desyncs to express salt simulator. I'm only teasing because people use auteur pretense to talk about From, who have made many pretty awful games, and many of those under the Armored Core umbrella. The argument about AC6 being "AC" enough is fundamentally stupid; the game series has had no consistency outside of the aesthetics of the same couple of sets that show up in every game. The games haven't ever even had a consistent control scheme; even though From's work has mostly been to show off the capabilities of Dual Shock controllers. AC6 feels great to play because it's built on 25 years of FromSoft learning from mistakes and trial by fire about the difference between the games they envision, and the products they send to market.
If this is goty material then your standards are way too low. Its a mid salvagable game. The main game is boring and unintersting mission filler. The bosses are a straight line up on the y axis compared to mission difficulty. Stagger is stupid the hud fads away in the background of all the gray and white and visual vomit that comes from all the explosions and gunfire
@@roar104 because it dissapears in all the visual vomit from the gun fights the colorless environment and at times your own head gets in the way. I spent more time looking down at the reload status in the bottom right of the screen

Armored Core is amazing. Not sure if I'd put AC6 or BG3 as GotY, but AC6 definitely has the best gameplay of any game I've ever seen. Its so great!

your entire hud you need is around the reticle anyways just like in many other AC games so don't see how that's an issue
