So I have issue with both John Virgo and Steve Davis.
Both called the cocked hat double a fluke.
Did they call John Higgins's double to go on and win his quarter final a fluke?
No?...why not?
Because those in the know know the difference....or at the very least you would think they should know.

The standard of snooker has been the worst I've seen in a world final since Dott Vs Ebdon. Kyren is fortunate that he's playing Jones who hasn't put him under any significant pressure. If Kyren had to play Ronnie again in a final he would have crumbled because both players haven't been scoring well. A lot of things in Snooker has to change. Too many poor players in the top 16, the Chinese players flatter to deceive and most of the 'top' players like Ronnie, Higgins and Williams are at the end of the careers now and where are the young players coming through the ranks? The sport could do with moving away from the crucible in order to gain more fans and bring more players into the sport because it's currently on the decline. the likes of Steve Davis, Henry and Murphy can call the crucible theatre historic and prestigious all they like but Snooker relies too much on history and needs to look to the future to improve the game
No bodys allowed to be a character anymore everybody has to be the same
I think you have to consider there's an element of nerves so neither of them will be at their best, but I agree the standard has suffered lately and I am concerned for the future of the sport once Ronnie retires.
But he’s not playing Ronnie, because he got knocked out by the guy Jak Jones beat in the semis. That’s how it works, stop talking nonsense
@@iPro3million Yes but Bingham played really well and in some ways the hardest opponent for ronnie because hes a great break builder. Jak is not. Prior to this final Jak had only managed 76 century breaks in a 14 year playing career, which is shocking for a professional snooker player. If ronnie plays Jak or Kyren in a first to 18 neither has a chance against him. Kyren got battered by ronnie 18-8 in 2020 and the way he played today he would have suffered a similar scoreline. Both play rubbish snooker and wouldn't get over the line against a top player in a final. ITS NOT NONSENSE
@@LewisCollins-nj8ht if the standard is so bad then Ronnie should have walked it. Stop crying and accept Kyren fully deserved it by being the best player across the tournament

Seven-Nil down on the first session put Jones in bad position. He was exhausted on the day and he had every right to be. He was playing Bingham the night before and no proper rest for him. He still kept on fighting back. Also agree with some comments regarding the overall low standard, such a shame. Saying this definitely don't miss watching Ebdon as he was a nerd on the game and so boring to watch 🤓
