@@antoniop9413 Yes and get what we just got for 17 days! The best players in the world looking amateurish at times because of the bloody ridiculous size of the pockets! The thing is, they could nick a bit of the pocket before to get on the next ball. Now they are having to impart a lot of side to get to the next ball which is why you had a lot of easy shots missed. It's a hard enough game as it is, go back to how it was in The Masters, just a few months ago. People like to see breaks. Yes safety but there has to be a balance and at the moment the balance isn't there.

I think they made the pockets too tight. It affected everyone throughout the Championship. It was hard watching it at times. The final was quite exciting with Jak's comeback. I think they need to keep it in Sheffield, open up the pockets a bit and tell Shaun Murphy not to ask for sponsors to come in. It's a fantastic game. The player's skill levels are through the roof! An amazing game, hope they don't ruin it. Barry Hearn said just 2 years ago that it would definitely stay in Sheffield, now he is saying it won't! Anyway, well done to Kyren! Gotta be honest didn't really fancy this final, felt like a Round 1 match when I found out the finalists but it did surprise me.
When Jak went down 7-1 in the first session all my feelings felt confirmed. But slowly he fought back, never was quite sustainable enough to get close to Kyrans lead but seeing him claw 13 more frames after being 7-1 down was fantastic & there really was some amazing moments.
I feel asif there was a few frames where it was just one or two desicions that lost them for Jak so if he'd have made something like 3 different desicions in 3 different frames it could have easily went to a final frame decider & he might have won it.
Both players definitely earned my respect anyway & I'm happy that Kyran finally got his World Title, & I think with a bit of mentoring, a bit of work on getting out of snookers & some better cue ball control, I could definitely see Jak Jones appearing in more later stages of big finals in the future

Of course some decisions were due to pressure and he was a bit naive at times lacking experience as he is, but his temper is right were it should be. Good breakbuilder, good safety, good tactician. I wonder if it's time to consider making the world championship match formats shorter. With the length of the matches the way they are now, the old men literally have no chance unless they blitz the field and even younger players like Jones end up goosed if they have had to come through some tight ones on the way to the final. Higgins especially can never win it again because of this format. It has become more of an endurance test than a snooker test! I'm not saying it should be a super short format or anything.... it still should be the longest format in snooker! I just think that you could change the first 3 rounds to best of 19, the semi-final to best of 25 and the final to best of 35 - this sounds like a more reasonable format to me. Having a semi-final that is best of 33 with a best of 35 final to come less than 24 hours later seems a bit unfair and we have seen it time and time again that players who play in a grueling best of 33 semi-final tend to really struggle to play their best snooker in the World Final (especially the first session) which is surely what you don't want to see! Not taking anything away from Kyren though.... who is a deserved champion and will be a great ambassador for the game!

Has to be the most anti-climatic snooker worlds ever.
Considering Ronzers and Trumps winning ratios this season as well as Williams and Allen pipping a couple here and there.
Pathetic quality of big guns... With all due respect Kyren has only one gear... He's like Graeme Dott, Peter ebdon calibre wouldn't be my cuppa tea to watch but happy for him at the same time.
Hopefully next year we have the big fish at the semis not these small Fry's.

Okay Peter Ebdon was a terrific player. Even Hendry chalks him up there with the Class of 92 and Davis as one of the hardest players he’s faced. Graeme Dott did capitulate a little too early in his career. Kyren’s been a winner though and he’s a solid player. He’s been quiet this year but like Ronnie took a year off and won the World and won it another time with it being his only tournament win of the season I think. There are 32 players in the tournament, and all matches are battles of attrition. Kyren played the most consistent snooker and won, simple as. Deserved winner

Was the number and quality of missed pots typical for such an event, or is it fair to say, noteworthy mediocrity on both sides in too many situations? And is a Britain Got Talent like private backstory demanded to be allowed in to compete? When Jones is such a poor player, as some stated here and there, how did he get to the final? Is he a better player now? Is it true that at least one finalist has to be a drunkard? Such a confusing activity this snooker game.
