When you were younger we did as tears go by my wife looks just like you when did the song as tears go by when I see you doing that song it puts a lot of tears in my eyes today I want to say the truth she died of a drug overdose that was about forty years when you love somebody you never forget them after all these years I still think of her every God bless you Michael
Still looking good Marianne so simple and down to earth, what a interesting life so many fantastic hit songs, well done enjoy whatever you are doing these days 😀
I met Marianne when she and Mick Jagger visited Frank Zappa's log cabin in Laurel Canyon, Hollywood in 1968. They sat in the kitchen with Frank and his wife Gail. Mick and Marianne were like a double act - he spoke, she spoke, he spoke, she spoke. By contract, Gail never spoke when Frank entertained. She always sat mute, allowing Frank to hold centre stage. Such a contrast.
@@Methilde She said she didn't talk when she was 17, 18, 19. When she and Mick Jagger came to the log cabin, it was 1968 and she would have been 22. She'd obviously grown in confidence being his girlfriend for so long.
A friends father was an oil executive stationed in London for a few years and had the flat right under Jagger in Harley House in Marylebone. When we were in the kitchen we would sometimes see Mick and Marianne sneaking up the fire escape to avoid fans and press.
I have seen this my whole life started at 16 years of age thru now even my beautiful no she's got the look n personally but doped up i hate drug dealers i hate drugs. God Bless these beautiful junkies there dirty lives. God Bless them n junkies clean up your killing your father's & mother's
ah I could listen to her talk for hours.... I ADORE her, thanks (I do with she would not joke about obits- I say a few words for her every night after I give Leonard Cohen a kiss), Eric!!!!!!? Do you KNOW her? I won't bug you with emails- I am being curious!!!! (not nosy!!!!)
The interviewer sounds identical to Faithfull........hilarious.....she might do the part...... Courtney Love once had something , which very fast evaporated into the typical American parody. That she even was considered was bad news .
She admits that dark songs are her specialty, but I actually think she's had an extremely varied recording career! Moreso than most people. Pop, folk, jazz, country, new wave, dance, punk, cabaret, etc etc.
I love her authenticity and honesty!
Love you I’m 59 yrs old and my mum always played your songs 🥰
It was one that I believe wasn’t such a hit, but I just loved it and it was Summer Nights.
I like the way she describes Mick - that is exactly how I perceive him! He is gorgeous - to this day!
you're a fun person

Two smoky voices. Love it.
Great Interview. Thank you!
Keep them coming Eric! 😁
I love Marianne 💜

That was over 20 years ago daddy.
She is so pretty so talented

So why she pretends not talking in those days ????

@@paulinebutcherbird Yes, you right, you change quickly at that age.

Gorgeous!
She's a mench in my eyes 👀. G'day Australia 🇦🇺

Ageless beauty😍
I love how she speaks kindly of Mick Jagger who has a reputation as a womanizer. Marianne set the bar too high for all the others.
I believe Mick paid for private cancer treatment for her or got her off the streets at a time when she was homeless. Some thing like that.
@@lindajones8101 What a guy, he was nt even a billionare.
@@thomasmacdonagh6827 Agreed.
She is very honest about her past, she went through a lot, the drugs and all ....and and I agree, why didn't Mick J help Marianne.

Helen Mirren, if she were still young, would make a great Marianne.
Never thrers only One,This One
Mariella could make a good Marianne
I never understood why Mick couldn’t have helped her it’s not like he doesn’t have the money. He must really be a cold person.
And cheap. He did Jerry Hall wrong. And Bianca. He's a shrewd businessman.
Aera : Or a cold hearted snake. The more I learn about he and Keith and the way they have treated people the more disgusted I get.
Why should he have helped her? He has eight or nine kids to look after.
She wasn't an easy person to help and she could leave his husband and his son, too simple to put all on Jagger shoulders.
Emily Blunt?
Courtney Love really looks so much like her
I love her but her songs all sound/seem the same... Marianne! Cheer up. Show us a little levity. Do you always have to be such a downer? 🤷♀️
