Do a Francesca Findabair lore video!! Been described as the most beautiful woman in the world by multiple sources, I always want to know more about her.
0:46 Whenever I see that picture, she gives off the impression that she's a psychopath. Maybe she could be one considering she did ruthlessly murder her father, half brothers, and stepmother.
No, not quite. These occurrences are quite similar to the Medieval world, and not everyone in that era is a psychopath. Though they did love war, or grew up in a martial culture.
Finn was trying to spread a rumor to keep Cori safe, if she was a descendant of falka the other nations leaders wouldn't kidnap her and try to put her on the throne or marry her off. Its all about context.
I believe Falka was not a Psychopath, she was just Broken, Twisted by the Cruel, unfair world, just like Renfri. Remember history is written by the Winner, and Andrzej Sapkowski is bloody good at writing ambiguous tragedies.
@@surfingbrrrd how so? Unless you're dealing with extremes like Germany during WW2, if a group claims victory over another and proceeds to spread their propaganda/politics/views, folk will very rarely see the full picture and attempt to move towards the net good for all Look at any minority group's plights, basic human rights being trampled because of decades of hateful propaganda and dogging of people is apparent
I highly doubt the rebellion was as bloody as they made it out to be, the crimes she supposedly committed were true to her, and that it was an unjust rebellion. History is written by the victors and she wasn't the victor, and the written history usually vilifies the losers and the victors are heroes who did no wrong. She very well may have been just in her rebellion and her siblings and fathers murderer was the same person that got her removed from the court and stripped of her rightful inheritance. A certain King that took over perhaps ofcourse through bribery and proxy. She may have rescued her stepmother and let her willingly stay at the castle for her own safety and she was quite sane when the castle was taken but tortured to insanity after. Can't have the rightful monarch able to rule if you are doing a coup through murder and subterfuge. That one is most plausible because Falka had her own daughter cared for by her "prisoner" and an "insane" one at that. Who in the world would do that? Doesn't make a lick of sense no matter how many beers you drink in one hour. I believe it was a great tragedy disguised as a bloody rebellion in the pursuit of power and greed.
If that would've been the case the author would've left at least a hint for that. But there is none such hints. So that is just a theory without any info to back it up. No offence.
It depends on what kind of insanity it was. In Game of Thrones Theon was tortured into utter obedience like a dog. Something like that is possible in this case too. Some mental manipulation and indoctrination in an advanced form of Stockholm syndrome. Though that could be done in different ways through torture or very gentle means. Being nice to her when she was actually a monster against others. Villains (or people in general) often try to persuade heroes and good people into their cause with promises and honey. Trick them in doing their bidding. If she was sane she would know who her own children were or she just pretended she didn't so the child wouldn't be murdered. It's also possible this was waved away as some injustice when it really wasn't at all, to justify their actions as good. Maybe they even believed it themselves. We will probably never know for certain just to leave us guessing, so we can theorise like this. But there is also something else. Was Ciri's vision of Falka and enticement of magic just power of suggestion from stories or was it an actual manifestation of the possible curse Falka placed on her enemies? Curses and prophecies do exist in that universe after all.
Lol you can’t just pick and choose art. You gamers have trouble excepting this. Imagine if Kevin Feige took outsiders opinions for Marvel movies. He’d have no success
I haven't clicked a video so fast in a while. Great choice for a video, especially since it's been a while since I read the books, and the whole rebellion thing (as the Ciri's family tree and elder blood "experiment") only gets really explained like once. P.S: I wish I could like the video twice, it was an awesome memory refresher.
Nice video, I'd been wondering about this Falka. Although I think it could've been better to include that dialogue bit from TW3 where Dijkstra compares his own plot with Falka's rebellion.
Okay so here's where things get confusing. So it all has to do with Ithline's prophesy. Falka actually does have elder blood through her family line of Beatrix and the Aen Elle and thief multiple experiments. It's often suggested that their may be a handful of those who carry the elder blood Gene but not to the extent of mastery in the same way of Lara Dorren. Now this hinting actually does make some sense when, after Ciri uses fire magic for the first time she sees a vision of falka which links back to the "baptism of fire" in the books. It apparently terrified her so much her magic abilities where locked away permanently and she can only use the space time abilities she got from her elder blood. So Ithline's prophesy is interpreted in two ways, one is that Ciri would be the seed that burst into flames. A destructive retributive action if she is indeed related to Falka However the elves interperate this as an act of salvation from the White Frost or the White End where basically global cooling will destroy all life on their planet and Ciri is supposedly supposed to lead them to a new world etc.
Places and times, she was time traveling when the flea jumped off and that plague happened. Ciri landed in lots of different places and times when she was trying to figure it out
Finn was trying to spread a rumor to keep Ciri safe, if she was a descendant of falka the other nations leaders wouldn't kidnap her and try to put her on the throne or marry her off. Its all about context.
Surely they would simply kill her, should they find out she's Falka's descendent, I feel like it would be dumb for him to say she's falka's descendent to keep her safe, as it may deter some people, but it may also encourage some people to take action.
@@WitcherGeorge Read the book man, it may not make sense but thats what happened. Ciri was missing if they believed she was Falka's descendant they would stop looking for her because they knew no one would get behind her being placed on the throne.
@@WitcherGeorge don't get me wrong, you do your research but just like when you claimed Yennifer was a hunch back, you are basing it off wiki stuff and not the book. Geralt theorized she was a hunch back but it is never confirmed.

I think Amevat was Falka baby. No one knew which one was hers. They assumed he was Rhiannon because he had elder blood, but that’s not true. Falka was quarter elf. She could of passed it to him. Ciri isn’t even half elf and she still has elder blood, the same applies to her mother. It obviously skips generations because her grandmother didn’t have it. Amevat conceived a child before he was murdered. If Im not mistaken, didn’t one of his descendants marry into Ciri family?

does anyone know what the witches tales are supposed to be like. is it going to be a card game like Elder Scrolls Legends, is it going to be a regular witcher game but with other characters, or is it going to be a side scroller/ arcade game
But if Ciri is Falka's descendant, she cannot be of Elder Blood, because one of the children was Falka's, and the other was the grandchild of Lara Dorren. So Ciri is EITHER Falka's or Lara's offspring, and cannot be both, right?
Can someone please explain to me how Falka has the elder blood but is not a descendent of Lara Doran? it is a fact that Ciri is a descendent of Lara so it doesn’t really make much sense for people to think Ciri is a descendent of Falka. Mathematically it doesn’t make sense. Falkas mother and Lara darren lived at the same time. If Lara Darren was the first person to have the elderblood there’s no way that’s possible. Unless the gene was truly created a few generations before and didn’t show until Lara’s generation due to all the descendants being male? But that wouldn’t make sense because “ Falka got the elder blood from her grandmother” who was also alive during the time of Lara Darren? So how many elven women during Lara Darren’s generation had the elder blood? Because mathematically and genetically it doesn’t make any sense. So please anyone who can answer please do. To me I feel as if the Witcher community assume she had the elder blood because SHE CLAIMED (but for reasons I just stated truly could not have) she did but in reality the one who really did was her Adopted step sister Rianan. Falka even has black hair where I’m guessing Rianan had Lara’s white hair because the gene was passed on through her. My hypothesis is Falka lied about having elderblood because she knew her “sister” did and her sister was raising her daughter. So her daughter would be the sister of elderblood siblings but in reality never truly had elderblood.
Could out-crazy Radovid. Sounds fun.
