Thank you for the advice, I have been storing dollar tree batteries for over a year opened in a zip lock. You scared me about a fire, went to look they are corroded together, it's a wonder I didn't have a fire. Thank you for saving my house. 😊❤
I need to get my batteries out of the hot garage tomorrow morning. Garage temp today 99° but temps were usually 118° or higher all summer. Your video was really good and informative. Thank you.
I store all my batteries in a 50 military caliber ammunition box , it’s safe and fire proof and very easy to carry and extremely strong . 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍😎🌴🌴
Yep! Went to buy batteries from a hardware store last year and at least 8 packs had leakage. The employee I showed went through and checked every single pack and said she'd let appropriate people know about it.
Wow, I knew I should have bought this battery caddy a few years ago...I just looked online and the cheapest one I saw is $20. Dang, talk about inflation! Thanks for tips ❤
Ooohhh....such important advice. I think this would be a good gift for the hub's upcoming birthday. And I may get one for myself, as well, for our upcoming anniversary. Hey, I'm a gal that loves practical gifts!
Thanks for reminding us how to store batteries. I was sure I was ok but went and checked anyway and had a couple that were turned wrong. Thanks for the info. When we have dead batteries that we have to get rid of we always lay them on a large piece of tape and tape them so that they can't touch each other and maybe cause a fire. Your videos are also so informative. One of these battery cases would be a good Christmas item.
I store our batteries in a few ways. We have 3 storage cases that we keep in different parts of the house for convenient access. Then we also use peg board space. I find this is the BEST way to store the odd sizes like button cells. With the peg board we can easily see them and can make sure that we use the oldest first by putting the freshest batteries behind and the oldest ones upfront. We have also started to invest in more rechargeable batteries. We used to do nickel metal hydride, but now we are also putting away more lithium rechargeables.
Hi Jinne. This was a great video and so important. I have some great packages of AA,AAA, and some other sizes. I need to get a carrier box to store them in. They are in my closet pantry which is a good temperature. But they would be better in a carrier. Thank you so much for this. I will looking for one. Have a wonderful night.😊👍❤️
I store some of my AA and AAA batteries in the individual small pew pew cases, which I think hold about 50. I bought mine at Academy, and took a battery with me to try them out.
I bought one of those battery holders they are the best and I have some stored in tote like u showed there in closet only place to put cool in there didnt know about baggies so how do u store those when i take them out of things i store away heard u dont store stuff with them in it found out hey burst grea vedio keep up good work bless day😊
So i bought one of these battery cases back in 2021, filled it up with different sizes of brand new energizer lithium batteries (AAA, AA, & cr123). Got home recently after being away for over a year and was going through my stuff and when I opened up the sealed case, almost all the batteries had dust on the button top and 98% were dead. Idk if these actually work
I got rid of my BatteryDaddys. The problem I have is that it's not easy to rotate the oldest out first. Having several small boxes or sections of box to segregate batteries by age is better for me than one large box. Most batteries today have a Best By date on them. Pay attention to that. I have stopped buying cheap batteries that leak (corrode). The Amazon Basics brand - they don't leak even after dead! Amazon, Costco, Sam's and Duracell are all 10-years shelf life when stored properly so I don't mind paying a little extra knowing they're good for that long and so I don't ruin electronics with corrosion. Lastly, keep your alkaline, lithium and NiMH batteries in separate containers. All batteries discharge and it's not good to mix chemistries.
Not really. Batteries don't really like cold; doesn't kill them like heat does, but it can make them sluggish. They could also be subject to condensation, which will harm them.
Jinni DO BE CAREFUL with Lee heading your way. You are in my thoughts but I can take comfort in the fact that you are prepared!! I hope the worst of it does not hit you
I would have posted this on my FB if you didn't make a BIG DEAL out of them starting FIRES or EXPLODING; which is HIGHLY UNLIKELY... It would have been good enough to say: "It keeps them from loosing a charge."
I have mine in a battery caddy just like yours.
Grandma Sue in central Indiana
Thanks Jinne.
Great tips.
Have a Good Week

I always learn from your videos. Thank you.
😊 Thank you, good to know!
We have this same caddy.
Hi Jenni. Great tip
Make sure how ever you store them that the + and - are not touching each other. Uses up their charge
What a beautiful child of God!!! THANK YOU for your work and service for God.
I like that case I'm gonna have to get one , Thank you Jinne

That's a Great idea. I store ours in a Red Metal cantilever tool box my hubby no longer wanted. 👍
Good video, thanks for sharing, God bless !
Great information as always thanks Jinni
I love my battery Daddy! ❤
We invested a case similar to this last year. I went back and bought one for my grown son ! 🇺🇸
Actually, even in original packaging you can get battery leakage which spreads and ruins other batteries as well. I’ve seen it!
Yep! Went to buy batteries from a hardware store last year and at least 8 packs had leakage. The employee I showed went through and checked every single pack and said she'd let appropriate people know about it.
I did not know that about batteries. Ordered the battery daddy tonight
We have two battery daddies. Love those!
Jinne, I love the Battery Daddy. I have two of them, so when batteries go on sale in bulk boxes, I have a place for them.
I have one.
I got a battery Daddy last Christmas at Walmart. Love it, it was so satisfying to get my batteries organized.
Wow, I knew I should have bought this battery caddy a few years ago...I just looked online and the cheapest one I saw is $20. Dang, talk about inflation! Thanks for tips ❤
Hi, Home Depot price is 14.99
Thank you! Ordered one for us and some for our Christmas gifts!
Ooohhh....such important advice. I think this would be a good gift for the hub's upcoming birthday. And I may get one for myself, as well, for our upcoming anniversary. Hey, I'm a gal that loves practical gifts!
I think they make wonderful gifts 💕🇺🇸

I can not believe the price of batteries today! I saw, at the grocery store, yesterday, a four pack of AAA was $12.00-$17.00!!
Costco or Sam's Wholesale are the cheapest places I've found to buy batteries !!!
Stay Safe Everyone
By the way,, Hey Jinny 😀
@@follybeachprepperyup I just bought a 40 pack of AAA for $18
Hi Jinne! Thank you for this important information.

Thank you, very informative video.
🙏👍❤️🌟✨🌻🌹✝️🇺🇸
How should those 20v or 40volt "batteries" for lawn tools, etc be stored?
Struth never considered open batteries in the house hey thanks for the heads up.
Thank you for this. I never knew a battery storage box like this existed...
Excellent advice as always Jinne, they're not cheap, so worth storing them correctly. 👍
TFS HC, take care & keep really busy everyone. ❤️🙂🐶
We have a caddy, but I like yours better! Thinking that it wouldn’t hurt to have more than one anyway! Thanks for this video.🇺🇸❤️
Just received mine, love it❤
Maybe cuz I haven't watched TH-cam videos lately so I haven't seen you but your hair looks amazing
I'm going to look at trying to find one of those cases... Thank You Jinnie 🤗🤗🙏 Kendra
We use a Sterlite 4 drawer organizer. We keep the batteries in the container they came in but the organizer allows us to separate them to find easily
Have one. Works great for organizing all my batteries. Found that Home Depot was 5 dollars cheaper than Walmart.
Thank you for this important advice, Jinne! I needed to hear it! I'm going to put this at the top of my list today!
I store some of my AA and AAA batteries in the individual small pew pew cases, which I think hold about 50. I bought mine at Academy, and took a battery with me to try them out.
We have the big packs from BJs. 90% are not fully charged. Don’t know if they have been stored too long?
nice

Is it best to store batteries in original packaging, or can I go ahead and fill my Battery Buddy with my new batteries?

Grandma kept hers in the fridge, does that actually extend life?
Not really. Batteries don't really like cold; doesn't kill them like heat does, but it can make them sluggish. They could also be subject to condensation, which will harm them.
But what about used storge?
Jinni DO BE CAREFUL with Lee heading your way. You are in my thoughts but I can take comfort in the fact that you are prepared!! I hope the worst of it does not hit you
We're up in the mountains, so we should be good. 💕🇺🇸

Good information, but video did not need to be over 8 minutes long.
Thank you
