it's what this kind of show needs lol. a supporting character with questionable morals, humorous, sarcastic, weird accent, no bullshit attitude, and physically very different than the rest (like his height and he's much older). it's a good contrast to the rest of them. that's why he's interesting to me.
I find everything about Flynn funny and perfect, but especially his resting B face looking from Puritan to Puritan to Lucy.
Yes!!! That and the 'These are idiotic, unenlightened times' are two of my top favourite Flynn moments

Lucy and Wyatt _do not match_ at all and if they were a real-life couple they would be divorced within a few years 'cause they have absolutely nothing in common! Lucy is a smart, well-read, intelligent woman who knows (almost) everything about history but Wyatt... Well, Wyatt is not like this! What the hell would they talk about???
And Garcia Flynn is a good man somewhere deep in his heart who just went off the rails _because_ and _after_ he had lost his family (I know, I know, it's not an excuse for murdering innocent people!) - and he and Lucy are way better, more match-made and more beautiful couple. ❤ Flynn knows and understands Lucy deeply and there is a stronger and deeper connection between them than between Lucy and Wyatt. They are real soulmates. ♡ And last but not least: Flynn would have never left Lucy for Lorena (like Wyatt did - he chose Jessica over Lucy)! 😇

The BEST character
After rewatching this show with all the 2020 downtime, I have to say I honestly believe this was one of the best written/executed characters in a very long time. Basically a model for how to pull off a full character arc. Bravo...RIP Flynn
Honestly, my exact thoughts put into words. He's just a fictional character, but ever since I watched the episode where he died a month or two ago, I haven't been the same. I can't believe the ridiculousness of the events of his death - the writers literally just took him and took a nice big shit on him. But I got so attached to him throughout the second season. I only wanted what was best for him, and wished so bad that he and Lucy would have ended up together, but part of me knew that that seemed like it was almost too good to wish for. He was literally the best fictional character I have ever come to know, ever. I took his death so hard, and am still not okay with it, almost as if he weren't just a fictional character, but a real person that I am mourning over. It's pretty abnormal for me to be so affected over a fictional character, but I'm just so sad that he never got justice for his family, and that not even the smallest of things happened between him and Lucy. A part of me will probably be forever changed from becoming so attached to him and seeing how pitifully his end was written.
I'd rather call the final movie a crazy, sloppy, illogical and _totally out-of-character_ fanfiction instead of a real and normal ending... 😞

I just realized after hearing the Beatles comment for the 100th time. If you have a questing trio like this with, the deep goofball, the capable secret-royal, the angsty warrior. Like Avatar The Last Airbender, and then I realized, Flynn is the added fourth position, The kickass (scene-stealing) sass machine, AKA The Toph (or Zuko)
Interactions between Flynn and Wyatt are freaking gold.
I love Flynns character, he is by far the best character in this show. One of my favourite parts is when he gets back from saving JFK and he basically complains, he just sounds so pissed off and I love it.

You are not forced to accept that final "fanfiction" movie as part of the canon and the official end of _Timeless_ ! Forget it and pretend it didn't happen at all. 😉 And write (or at least imagine) your version, your happy ending for Lucy and Flynn! ❤

He was a fantastic character, and way better with Lucy than Wyatt ever could be. I'm legit mad at what they did to his character in the finale. If I rewatch the show, I think I'll end it with the season 2 cliffhanger and imagine a happy ending... Time to check out some of these fanfics lol

Just watched this series back again on DVD, and enjoyed it more than when it was originally shown! Timeless, not just in title! And Flynn is very easily the best, most likable character in the whole show!
As a bad guy, he was already my favorite character, so him becoming a "Good Guy", just sealed the deal.

I _simply love_ Garcia Flynn's character (like everyone else here 😉) and I've had a crush on Goran Višnjić since I saw him on _E. R._ for the first time, he's so handsome, attractive, talented and charismatic! 😎
And I _absolutely hate_ the final movie of _Timeless_ , it's so awful, horrible, disgusting and disappointing!!! I'd rather call it a crazy, sloppy, illogical and _totally out-of-character_ fanfiction instead of a real and normal ending... So I simply ignore and reject the existence of it and pretend it did not happen at all. 😉 Sorry (not sorry!), I cannot accept it as part of the canon and the official end of the story!

What I just don't get is how Goran accepted Flynn's end so easily. How could the character's own actor be so okay with that?
Back to the subject - after the traumatizing experience of watching that fanfic "movie", I found a fan-rewritten script of that sh*tstorm on some fanfic site, and it was _so good_. Everyone in it was actually acting in character! Lucy didn't accept Flynn's death, and five years later, they use a well thought-out plan to put in the journal everything Flynn needs to do better that time around, and also actually not die, and it worked. Also, Lucy still ended up with Wyatt, but the writer actually salvaged Wyatt's character, so that you can't be upset about it because he learned from his own mistakes and became more mature. It's not the most satisfying ending, but it's definitely at least the direction the script writers should have taken instead of what they did. I highly recommend reading it! It's called "timeless redux movie," or something like that.

(On one hand they do not match at all, on the other hand I can't stand Wyatt's character from the beginning. 😈) I pretend the awful, horrible and disgusting final movie is a (crazy Lucy/annoying Wyatt) fanfiction and _my version_ is the real (happy) ending. 😉 I was so pissed off with the "final trash" that I had to write my own version (and very first fanfiction)... • are annoying together
• are better as friends than as a couple

In my story Rufus is saved by Flynn (but he doesn't have to sacrifice himself!), he and Lucy admit their love, feelings and emotions to each other, become a couple, get married, have 3 daughters (the eldest is Amy, the youngers are identical twins, Lily and Rose) and live happily ever after. ❤
In my story when in 2023 Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus travel back to São Paulo (2014), Lucy and Flynn are happily married and have a three-and-a-half-year-old daughter (Amy). Lucy gives Flynn the journal, introduces herself, then tells him that he's a true hero and do not forget that she _loves_ him. When the Lifeboat comes back to California, 2023 Lucy suffers from a terrible headache and throws up (😀), then admits Flynn that she feels very sick because of the stress, the worrying, the time travelling back to a timeline where she already existed - and pregnancy. Flynn is shocked and surprised and touched. 😊 He tells that his wife is the strongest and the bravest in the world because she travelled 9 years back and there in time in the very uncomfortable Lifeboat while expecting their child. Lucy laughs and tells she had no choice. They kiss and hug - and Lucy cries because of the hormones and the happiness and relief that Flynn 2023 is there for her (for better, for worse, in sickness and in health, till death do us part 😉) and is way more balanced and joyful than Flynn 2014. By seven and a half months later their twin daughters (Lily and Rose) will have been born. They'll live happily ever after. ❤ I know, I know, it's too cheesy and sugary sweet - yet so touching and romantic. 💕
Oh, and I nearly forgot that Wyatt was asked by Flynn (forced by Flynn 😆) to go with Lucy and Rufus to São Paulo 'cause he thought the whole travelling would be safer with a soldier. Especially with Wyatt himself. (And the Lucy-Wyatt-Rufus trio have already proved many times their suitability. 😉)
This was the summary of my fanfiction! My favourite Lucy/Flynn fanfictions, by the way (besides mine, of course 😉), are _Immortally yours_ by kissedbydragonfire and _BothAnd_ by mountainrivergirl. 😊

Sorry.I know they were not so much serious with Lucy but if he loves her now he had to be like a man and say sorry to Jessica. She wanted to divorce him, he just had to say "yes okay" and to be happy from this easy outcome. Anyway this doesn't even happen in real life so why to expect it from TV series. Hahaha I love the way Flynn looks at Lucy, like she is the only one person in the whole world. He looks at her with such deep feelings. His face says it all. I am waiting for the 2 hours final in December. I am sad this great series ends. Its not fair.

I'm thinking that maybe Lucy is Flynn's wife in the future and she probably is going to die so she gave Flynn her journal so he could stop all from happening.....this would be interesting in my opinion and also pretty satisfying 'cause I totally ship them😍
Flynn felt like he was the only adult in the show , the others were like teenagers, always stupid childish behaviour.
