I love that Christians of every stripe are such huge fans of this channel. Basically every comment says “I’m Catholic/Reformed/Baptist, but I love Lutheran Satire”
I hadn't realized how similar the Lutheran and Catholic Church were until finding this channel. At my Catholic school, we watch these videos with one of our teachers who is an Augustinian brother.
@Christian Orthodoxy How different can they be? Both denominations, and the rest, are parts of the body of Christ. So long as they don't embrace some actual heresy, like denying the Trinity, denying the deity of Jesus, denying the saving grace bestowed upon believers by Jesus through His death and resurrection, and so on, with _actual_ heresy, they are Christian and part of the church. The hand and foot are different too, but if they belong to the same man, then they are more alike than not.
@@joshuakarr-BibleManYeah, I agree. So long as they don't deny the sufficiency of Christ's death on the cross and believe in something like doing pennance for the remission of sins or spending time in purgatory for additional pennance then I'd say they are Christians too.
So Patrick as a Roman catholic I have to say, I love your videos, even if I also believe as a famed protestant and nearly Catholic songwriter put it, “faith without works is like a screen door on a submarine.”
I cannot believe it has been ten years. I still share a lot of your early videos with non and lapsed Christian friends and have had lots of amazing engagement as a result. You really have built an amazing library for teaching some very basic and critical ideas.
Happy Anniversary Lutheran Satire. Great job; love your work! So good of you to offer long-term, part time work to a 21st peasant like Hans. Onya, Conall and Donall! (Two of my 5th century heroes). Thanks Randolph Foundation.
So many of my long awaited questions answered. I cannot wait until the next video. Perhaps I will finally learn who Donall and Conall think should be the next host of Jeopardy!
Nice to hear that you're getting basically a sponsor. Also can we finally see Donall and Conall go head to head with Horus and not in an April Fool's joke?
Patrick: Well, you do sound pretty Lutheran in your theology. Why is that? Connell: I imagine it's because Saint Patrick read the Bible to us, and we believed it, Patrick. Lol
Three cheers for 5th-Century, Irish catholics (and 21st-Century ones, too.)! Hip-Hip, Hooray! Hip-Hip, Hooray! Hip-Hip, Hooray! Congrats on ten years, Father Hans! I can't wait for the next ten... P.S. Just show up-- Todd and Jeff will make a hole for you.

My life is complete now I've seen the Canadia Badfinger tribute band. Are No It's OK That's Fine Finger, due to play anywhere in Britain in the near future? Best they keep away from South Wales lest they get lynched by friends and family of the band. Still, "I remember finding oot aboot yoo" was a treat I wasn't expecting. Patrick.

Baptists? I thought only Christians were fans of him.
Time for an actual interaction between Donall & Conall and Horus, Patrick!
Full support!!
Yes! Bring on Horus meets Donall and Conall!
Its time for Donall and Conall to OWN Horus.
This needs to happen

And may God bless y’all with ten more years and another ten after that.

As a Reformed theologian who lives Lutheran Satire, I am delighted to wish both Patricks & Hans a happy 10th birthday!
You mean the Patricks and Patrick?
I’m a Reformed Baptist. I have to say, I love this site.
As a Reformed Baptist, I agree.
As a Roman Catholic, I agree.
As a fifth century Irish catholic I think it's jumped the shark a bit

Not that similar.

Very different actually. Patrick was protestant in practice

"I remember finding oot aboot you"
As someone whose forever-love is Canadian (and she actually sounds like that) that made me smile on the inside.
That's so funny, but as a Canadian myself, I've never heard any other Canadian pronounce it like that. That sounds more like a Scottish accent.
I like how originally Donnal and Connal were just known as the “Irish Twins,” but now it’s canonical that they aren’t even brothers.
Or that was sarcasm.
i've been watching these for so long and they never cease to amaze
I love Donall and Conall, but I’m still waiting for the Church History Mixtape Vol. 2.
YES! 🙌 LOVE that one!
His music videos are honestly amazing.

I have a coworker named Patrick. I sometimes say, "Oh, Patrick..." He has no idea what it's from.

I remember the first Lutheran Satire video I saw was the one mocking Harold Camping. Legit one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen.

I just came across this site. It reminds me of The Wittenberg Door satire magazine in the late 70's/early 80's. Good stuff!!!
