You are amazing!!! I have been annoyed by my beautiful but stained Kohler cast iron tub ever since I bought this house 14 years ago. I even tried specialty products to get the tub non-slip surface clean. You’ve not only made my day, but you’ve made it possible to reuse our cast iron tub when we remodel. The tub is probably about 30 years old, and now it looks brand new!!
I was in the middle of using Oxy Clean with Bleach on my Kohler textured Tub. I used a brush and nothing was working. I went to TH-cam with the Oxy Cleaner still in the tub and found your Video. Did not have Bar Keepers but I did have a Mr Clean magic eraser. I was shocked and laughing like a crazy person at how easily the deep stains/dirt came off. I installed this tub about 15 years ago and this is the cleanest its been since day one. Can't wait till my wife sees it.
I can't wait to try this! I HATE our guest bathroom tub because of this. Especially mad because I didn't choose this tub. Our builder just got it and installed it without checking with me. I didn't even know this was gonna be an issue so I didn't make a fuss.
I had the same stains on my textured bathtub. I used the Dawn and vinegar hack and it worked amazingly. My bathtub and shower walls are white!!! I always thought they were a beige color but they are white 😆 1/3 cup Dawn Ultra 2/3 cup white vinegar 10 drops grapefruit essential oil (I added the oil for fragrance, I don't know if it helped to get it clean). I stirred up the solution and put it in a empty bottle of shower cleaner that foams when you spray. Sprayed the whole thing and spread it around with a scrub brush. Didn't really scrub it, I just wanted to get all the surfaces covered. I spread the excess solution on the sink and fixtures. Let it set for a few hours, came back and rinsed. I have a beautiful, white, sparkling shower, bathtub and sink! Even the fixtures were sparkling. I always have Dawn and vinegar on hand so I will never buy bathroom cleaner again.
Thank you SO much! I am moving out of my apartment and needed to clean the tub which is, of course, textured and dirty no matter what I did. None of the other "solutions" worked at all and I didn't have much hope when I saw this, but I had a magic eraser and a half-can of barkeep's friend and omg IT WORKED! Thank you, seriously, I'm so glad I found this video.
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!! I literally just ran to get the Bar Keepers Friend from Home Depot and the sponge from Shoprite. It made a miraculous difference. My tub looks brand new!! Sorry for your struggle but thank you for posting this easy solution.❤
Holy moly! I have tried EVERYTHING to get my tub clean since I moved into this house over 14 years ago but I never thought to use a Magic Eraser with Comet. I've tired some crazy things people have told me to use like dish soap and even toilet cleaner but nothing worked until now. I'm just stunned at how clean my tub is now! Thank you! Thank you! ok, this really did work! No offense girl, but that tub wasn't clean, so I was skeptical. I didn't have Barkeeper's friend, so I used Ajax and magic eraser. It took a bit of elbow grease, but totally worth it!
I moved in an apartment where the previous occupants spilled hair dye into the fibreglass tub. I don’t think I will ever get this off. Even bleach did not help.

Is your tub a fiberglass tub?
it is a Kohler cast acrylic, which has some fiberglass
I thought it was metal for a long time, 🤣that's why I bought the CLR!
