Incredible achievement by Team Europe. Luke deserves a lot of credit for leading his team to victory.
Still speaks so eloquently despite his dreadful hangover. What a win
Lies again? Serie A Leader Evil Angel
He don’t drink he goes to bed at 9 pm , mr boring , met him a few times he is a nasty rude bloke , shame for stenson to miss out on this event. European Players were fabulous , so where Americans on Sunday . Don’t give donald the Beth page gig , America is an angry lion badly prepared with flu and covid catching at this event , in New York , golly Donald will get eaten alive, America are angry 😢 never understand the American boys they had a bad weekend, good watch , thxs all
Cool hand Luke. What a guy. What a team! 👏
Being the winning Captain is a great accolade for Luke and after being drafted in following the Henrik Stenson debacle he fully deserves the praise that he is receiving
Delighted for Luke and all team Europe, assistant captains, caddies, everyone involved, great victory congratulations.
Well done to all the boys. A great team effort 👏
What a hero. You can see why the players are 100% with him.
Great achievement team Europe 👏👏😊
He will do it again because he will have the players.
Rahm Still in his prime.
Hovland will be even better.
Aberg will be a superstar by then.
Hòjgaard will be a top player.
His brother will have arrived.
Plus the likes of McIlroy, Fleetwood, Straka, Lowry will still be around.
This is why he will do it again.
He will have the tools.
Don't forget Tyrell Hatton.. I thought he was immense this week!
@@spinaker7081 yes!! I didnt mention him and should have.
He was awesome and will get better too.
Or they might all be Liv golf soon. And play the MBS cup:)
Nope no LIV. LIV might be around but will be only for easy money hunters NOT glory hunters
In America backyard at Beth page , lambs to slaughter , America is hurt and angry. Donald is not the man , too weak . America had covid and flu for 2 days , europe players out their foot down hard , and one Irishman caused fights in the car park . America will not forget that rory. Best he retires for Beth page , could be carnage poster boy . Bad mistake from the pikey last time in America mcilroy was reduced to tears 😭 , could be a car crash beth page 2 years for the gypsy king , leave him at home
Thanks mr. Donald, you gave us all a special kind of joy, that which is inside and it's hard to express . Thanks from the eternal city 🇮🇹🇬🇧
A classy well spoken talented human being ….
Well done Luke , much deserved 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Rahm, Rory, Hovland and Hatton were just incredible. They led their young fellows to an unbeliable victory.
Well said sir.
Always a fan of European team. So many great players and legendary Captains.
I do miss Ian and Sergio.
Yes, and the fuckwits at the European Tour will likely exclude them both from ever being a captain, a gross injustice if that happens.
Very fortunate to play a few holes at a corporate do with Luke Donald a day or two after Celtic Manor Ryder Cup in 2010. He was just like he is here, eloquent, funny, charming and a darn good golfer. Professional in every sense of the word. Well done Luke and well done Team Europe.
Luke Donald has always been a great ambassador for the game of golf, what an achievement for him, well deserved for sure. Brilliant !!!!!!
Congratulations to everyone involved. Brilliant 🤩 ❤
There's is no such thing as fame for the ryder cup winners Europe and Luke Donald as captain, he really stands out as a team captain for the fantastic team ryder with a finger tip feeling on the. outside to lead this team in ryder cup to a great victory!! to get each of the players to perform a game out of the ordinary!! 😅🎉😊
The amount of detail that has gone into team Europe is nothing short of astonishing. He should take a lot of credit for that. An absolute gentleman.
What detail is there that was different from America ?
They played active golf prior to the event. Detail 1. Team was selected on form. Detail 2. USA 🇺🇸 lost it on the captains picks. And all going on holiday instead of playing golf. Fowler being sick was unfortunate but in past Ryder cups teams have carried a reserve normally a vice captain - Bryson or dj no 13 😂 nah there 1 and 2 picks.
Luke is a classy guy and was a very good golfer in his prime too. His management of Europe's approach to the Ryder Cup was strategically perfect that also allowed his players to take centre stage. What a pity that Zac had a lot to contend with from certain players, but also made some critical mistakes in terms of preparation. I would like Luke to go again in Blackbeth Page, but that is totally down to him because its a tough call and US fans are febrile.
I've thought for some time that the captaincy assignment should be for two matches, one home one away. Not least because it isn't really fair to only get an away match. We've had repeat captains before; the pressures were different back then, although not insignificant. Jacklin did it 4 times, Gallacher 3 times, and their experience had a significant part in their successes. Two is enough, but as Faldo said yesterday, you learn so much from doing once, even in defeat, that is seems a waste not to have another attempt.
I don't think repeating as captain should be out of the question (if earned) but I don't think it should be guaranteed. Plus a lot can change in 2 years. I think Luke is an example of a captain whose performance would warrant repeating in 2025, but I doubt the American fan base wants to see ZJ as captain again.
You are a true Professional and Legend...Congratulations Luke I admire you even more!
Luke Donald. A legend as a player and now a legend as a captain.
Hovland was the star👍
It was Rory actually
Both Rory and Hovland.
J Rahm was immense too and Justin Rose was next. I love Justin in Ryder Cups. His level goes to monster in the Ryder Cup
very well done Team Europe & Luke's great stewardship BRAVO !!!
Two more years!
Great team spirit and I think that was the difference.
Yeah Olozabal is a very big influence aswell. He's channeling Serves spirit and thats another man that the Europeans have. I definitely vote for Luke in 2025. Whether he wins that or loses it doesn't matter. Losing away is no shame and I'm sure he would be the best choice.
one more Luke please
Putting the incident involving Rory on the penultimate day to one side, wherever you were watching or listening to the drama unfold, you cannot help but feel a deep sense of joy and pride for Luke, the players and everyone associated with this wonderful sporting event.
Like to see him try in the USA. Experience counts for a lot so let the captain try it home and away. (Why put a newbie into the lions den). Would be a good sequence if the people want to do it obviously but new captain at home then retain to the away leg then repeat.
Disagree, there are so many players worthy of having a go at captaincy, give them all a chance, one time only.
Yes and they can wait , they will also indirectly benefit from the experiences of the 2 previous captaincies
Luke is definitely the man to lead us in New York and get us the win. There is nobody else. The man is an absolute genius..
Well done boys! 😀
Great captain - Great performance by all.
good reporting Weir!
Awesome video, Luke is way cool, hope Luke does 2025 Ryder cup
Take a bow Luke 👏
Legend 🏆🇬🇧
Luke .European prove their point.
We and your 12 players made us proud.
one outta 10000 good on yah !!
Class act. Happy for him. And I wanted Team USA to win.
The next masterclass will be to appoint Luke Donald as the next Captain for Ryder Cup 2025 at Bethpage Black....for sure it would be our best chance there.
It’s extra special when the US wins this cup because this is everything the Euros live and play for and they only get to do it every other year. We gotta play for cups every year.
You obviously have no clue about the traction of the Ryder Cup.
Well played guys. All the talking is over!!
Zach made a mess of it. Lost dressing room and pairings first day odd
Is Luke taking the trophy back to Florida with him??
Wonder what Stenson must think.😮
Hope he is happy with his money, because he could have been Luke here. Long live Luke!
Whatever you think about LIV it doesn't lessen the legacy of Ryder Cup memories that include Sergio, Lee, Ian and Henrik. Well not in my eyes anyway.
❤❤❤❤
One Team against 12 individuals.....🇪🇺🇪🇺
Don’t brag too much, the American team was missing a few of there best golfers from blackballed LIV.
Koepka got only 1.5 points (and had the biggest loss ever in a foursome), and he is the only LIV player who won a major this year, so how on earth do you think the other LIV players would do any better? They play exhibition golf, shorter tournaments, easier golf courses, shorter rough, easier conditions aso. Did you see th e narrow fairways and the tough roughs they played at? On LIV they play against second tier players, has-beens and those who cant compete against the best (barely made cuts on the PGA tour). Why do you think they would do any better than Koepka?
I am fed up by Americans obsession with LIV and trying to make excuses. If they wanted to play Ryder cup they should have chosen passion instead of being greedy. Europe would have won anyway. Rahm, McIlroy and Hovland got 10 points, that means Europe’s other players only needed 4,5 points in total.
@@In_my_own_mind if you follow live, Koepka hasn’t been playing good for two months, so not a surprise to me. Bryson should have been on the team as well as Taylor Gooch
Yeah cos Bryson is so well known for hitting fairways. Look at the 5 points he won in Paris.....oh, sorry, it was 0. Dustin Johnson 1 point. Patrick Reed 1 point. Bubba 1 point. Phil Mickelson another big fat 0. Quite simply American players can't play European courses with a bit of rough. They just don't get tested properly on American courses which are far too easy.
Such a gent, a victory smeared by the bad behaviour of the team and the disgraceful supporters.
He started with foursomes first time since 1993. Jose donald!!! Didn’t want the yanks getting momentum
Has he bumped his head?
How is a trophy "a guest"??!!
Did you really need to ask this question?
@@user-zj8fq8be2g YES
Zach Johnson is a bum...
The Americans should have done less posing and more practice..
well done team europe but luke you were lucky that zach's polotics made him not pick any LIV players other wise you would have a lot more top players against you
Hahaha. What garbage. Did you miss Koepka getting his butt handed to him 9&7? Can understand if that’s a tough memory for you to recall
Tbf to Zach he picked Koepka who plays on the LIV tour
what a stupíd comment, he picked koepka.
It's simple, the level of opposition on LIV makes it difficult to judge a player's form, unless they make waves at the majors (as Koepka did). You can call that anti-LIV, but it's also the reality. How the likes of Bryson, Reed and DJ would perform at this level is basically guesswork.
Go look at the last time these wonderful players played a European Ryder Cup course in Paris. They got stuffed.
Honestly best job in world Ryder cup captain, do nothing and get all the accolades!
Tell ZJ that.
Hugely ignorant comment
Luke Donald is all class. Rory is all ass.
Why wasn't Molinari made captain, Major winner playing in his own country, no brainer. why weren't Tony Finau or Thieegala form players for picks in USA team, Fowler give me a break, any of the USA liv players, the dark triangle working here. Why wasn't the wee Scotsman given more air space. Big circus.
Molinari was trying to qualify. Hard to shoe horn him in at last moment. Glad both brothers made the vice squad, it is my understanding that they contributed a huge amount to the course set up and the stratergy. I found it sad we didn't have a Frenchman in the Paris team. Perhaps there is extra pressures involved in trying to qualift when it's going to be in your home country? Either way the brothers did a magnificant job.
why are women presenting?
