Great podcast as always Jake and Damian! Favourite moment was definitely Paul McGinley’s golden rule to create an environment for players to go out unburdened and unshackled and inspired to play as good as they can play. It highlights the key to successful sports leadership: creating an atmosphere where players feel free, inspired, and motivated to give their best performance.
Two legends of the game and one legend waiting in the wings. Favourite moment was just listening to Sam distill his wisdom and wit. All the best Europe I for one will be home watching cheering you all on. Go get them.
Fascinating conversation this. Emphasises the psychology of sport & the acknowledgement that different things make different individuals tick, and how captains manage that. Stats versus instinct with picks, pairings and all decision making. Who will rise to the occasion and who will crumble. We'll find out in a few days. Can't wait.
I've been bringing that up for weeks. As a European it was great to hear that DJ and Bry58n had been left out for an out of form JT and Sam 'Scheffler's best mate' Burns
@@denmark39 Nope, the DP Woke Tour's choice.....Brooks Koepka is playing for the Yanks and he's on LIV, plus the PGAT & DPWT will be taking the Saudi money next year anyway lmao, hypocrisy at it's finest
Paul said 'Luke and his team have been studying every European player for the past 2 years' But clearly that's wrong since Stenson was the captain until 12 months ago.....
Don't understand when Stenson got the captaincy taken off him why Luke Donald got it, he really hasn't done anything doesn't live in Europe Molinara 2 x majors Italian, slap in face, the elitists at work.
. Donald was part of four Ryder Cup teams as a player - winning on each occasion, in 2004, 2006, 2010 and 2012 - and he maintained his 100 per cent record in golf's biggest event by captaining Europe for the first time in Rome.2 days

Brilliant moment!
McGinley is a legend??😂
Absolutely. I could listen to Sam all day.
I could listen to Sam for hours. He has such a soothing tone yet very insightful and a wonderful sense of humour
This is so good, great guests and wonderful RC memories, can't wait for the contest to commence!
What a brilliant idea to get these three gents in the room to talk about their experiences. Great work 👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it!

Generally both captains do this well - end of the day the big players have to play well and always has to be one winner
An Englishman, Irishman & Scotsman captain a Ryder Cup team. No punchline, just three massive wins. Legends 🏆⛳️🥊
Great content! Hope for more golf related in the future🙏🏾
More to come! Big golfer coming soon!!
Great note from Sam about DJ and Dechambeau not on the US team

Great guests Jake
Langer was the best Captain in terms of success against the much higher ranked opposition and with the largest winning margin
BRILLIANT
Good luck.Luke! Go Europe!!!!
Wish the best for Europe. Donald seems very switched on.
Well said 💪
@@HighPerformancePodcast love the videos. They are always a lot more insightful than most on TH-cam.
Yeah babay
Where is Captain Stenson?
Agreed, 0 majors around the table. Henrick?
And yet ALL winning Ryder Cup captains… Your Captain Johnson was a major winner…didn’t bring you the Ryder cup back did he….? 🤔

Sams voice is like butter
It is.. his father was the same
McGinley sitting there with his arms folded I why ?
A nervous thing, don't think its anything other than that
He looked bored, also looked like he was checking his phone at times so was distracted. When he got engaged, he’s golden
Love Sam look them in the eye good luck then beat them.
Hey Neil,
You've won the Ryder Cup cap! Email hpteam@highperformancegroup.co.uk with the subject GIVEAWAY WINNER !
thank god henrik went to LIV as luke is such a better speaker etc Henrik boring and wooden
Absolutely. Donald seems to be a natural.
Can’t get on with mcginnley
Shame Henrik is not Captain.
His choice

We didn’t need him. Luke did the job exceptionally..😊👍

Was Luke originally a vice captain?
Previous captains looked after Luke, and the players are looking after Luke in this Ryder Cup.

He was world number 1 for 56 weeks. Nothing though 😂
