Capricorn is too relatable He's right. I got three days when i was born and that was between Xmas, New Year and a sibling whose birthday was right after. No time for us. So I turned to theology and the past for answers. None yet but I'm grateful for the shot 🤘🌞
This album is fantastic. I’ve listened to it at least a dozen times so far. Gets better each time. Notice something new each time. Probably either #1 or #2 VW album for me.
I do not feel like the interviewer is too interested in the album, tbh. Polar opposite of Zane Lowe. I agree with the criticism that Zane Lowe interrupts way too much, but at least I feel that he is connected with the music. His interviews often have a fan discussion-like quality, which is great.
@@PhilomenaCunt I guess you could be right, I feel like this interviewer doesn't really try to expand on the topics ezra talks about and just tries to get to the next question without going more in-depth
Similarly how Ezra feels like he missed “getting in on the ground floor” of NYC in the 80s I would give anything to be in NYC in the early 2000s when VW and Strokes and other burgeoning bands were coming up. What a time it must have been!
“In dreams I scream piano” is beyond brilliant
I could listen to Ezra talk about music all day. He’s an encyclopedia. The dream would be to hear him and Thundercat go back and forth!
I'll be seeing them in ATL. I'm obsessed with connect. Cannot stop. Addicted completely
IIIIIII NEEEEEEED IT NOW

Love Connect, Capricorn and Hope, those 3 get the most play!
Love all of them. Pravda and hope puts my 5 year old to sleep so it’s been playing every night.
@@abril7318 UNDERGROUND. HOPELESSLY DOWN, TO BE EXACT
Man I’m not gonna lie seeing Ezra’s hairy chest/necklace while high has been a mind blowing combination
Same, he's sooo dreamy 😍
It makes me all woozy

Birthday twinsies? I'm 12/28. lol

Yeah it’s competing with MVOTC as best VW album to me. Very much on par with Contra which has always been second, sometimes first for me
I can't stop listening to it. First foray into their material and I'm absolutely hooked.
As someone born on the 27th of December in 97 I love his thought process behind Capricorn. Completely relatable to me.
December 27th, 1978 here. 🖖🏻
I was born on 30th of December in 1997, never I would have thought that that would be the thing that's gonna make me feel seen by Ezra
Funny/cute how when citing slick productions in the past, Ezra chose to shoutout his Father in Laws magnum opus (Thriller)
I’m obsessed with ice cream piano, i feel it’s so underrated. But the whole album in general 🤌🏻
Prep school gangsters is my track I can’t stop listening to. Fantastic album front to back
I feel like crying when that comes on, def my #1 from the album

WOW!!!
I LOVE this song!! I didn’t know Ezra worked on it!! I thought it had a sprinkle of CLASS to that song!!
Thanks for asking great questions, can't wait for the live show this year!
Just saw them in Houston - incredible. First time they've played some of those songs live.
Cya in Missoula. Love the new album-it’s VW with beautiful melodies with a raw, mature feel. It’s my favorite. Bold words but vetted.

I love this interview, so detailed for being not necessarily oriented to musicians. So full of insights
Now we’ve just got to get Ezra and Ariel to do a Tape Notes for this album and my life will be complete.
will see y’all at red rocks 😤
That’s very symbolic, might just have to add tripping in Central Park to the bucket list
Hello fellow Capricorns, January 2nd here. So the next one was never mine. :p I really love this.
Great interview and very inciteful! I feel that this album is their absolute best! No "throwaway" songs at all! Every song is wonderful!
this man doesn’t age
Love these breakdowns for their albums
First comment!! I love the new album so much and can’t wait to see them on tour this summer 🫶

Not related at all but this 5:10
This is why my favorite musical movement has been Swancore and associated acts. So much to appreciate.
Fantastic stuff. can't wait to hear these live!!
MCR here we come! So excited to see them live finally
Very interesting
Thank u
See you guys at winterland
Can someone provide like a guide for when they start talking about each song 😂
