The Zelda New 3DS XL Is PERFECT. I bought this Japanese Nintendo 3DS XL (LL) Zelda Link Between Worlds edition from Sendico. You seem to be enjoying me looking at these so I thought I would continue to try and find more to show you!

Link Between Worlds rocketed to my top 3 Zelda games when it came out. It's a nearly perfect game, and this is such a beautiful console.
ALTTP and ALBW are easily my favorite 2D zelda games. I struggle to really talk about them separately though since they're SO similar. lol.
afaik albw is the reimagined version of alttp
@@zandatsu07 It's a direct sequel that uses much of the same map layout and setting at least for Hyrule. Hence the 2 on the Japanese title (which says "The Legend of Zelda: Triforce of the Gods 2").

Funny because I hate ALBW, but ALttP is my favorite in the series.
I was in my early teens when the 3ds came out and saved up for a while before it released to be able to get the original one pretty much on launch day along with my friend. For a long time, all I had to play was Pilot Wings and the AR games, and the novelty of the 3D and the AR features were absolutely MESMERIZING to me. I probably spent close to 60 hours or more just fiddling with the AR cards and setting up scenes around my house/neighborhood, to the point where I was genuinely very excited when they released the giant oversized AR cards through Club Nintendo and spent quite a bit of time playing around with those as well, even though they were exactly the same as the normal sized ones. I think I've still got those giant cards sitting around somewhere
3:13 the only AR related thing on the 3DS I used (and still use) consistently is the back of the manual for Bravely Default, because the AR opening cinematic is genuinely sick to me.
Other that that though, it's a feature that I don't think anyone ever really cared about. The most they ever did other than that was make some AR cards for Kid Icarus Uprising.
I remember back in the day people would make AR cards for the pokedex app
I lucked out and was able to obtain a complete set of the japanese deck boxes for kid icarus for like 50 bucks. I really wish that the US got the cards released in that style as the Deck boxes were more in line with how the ar card game was supposed to work. Each of the 20 boxes had 20 cards each, themed to the special arena card that is in each box. players take a box each and pit them against each other. At least it is the bare bones part. During lan parties here, we would have two people play as one of the two game options for a night and the winning game is what the main game would be. Sadly the OG japanese deck boxes are becoming as rare as the US core set box and there's only like 8-10 of those.
Anyway it goes to show you that they had really neat ideas with the AR card stuff but only two games really made much use of the function. The fishing game is pretty great though, I would have totally paid a fine price for a bigger expanded version of that.
@@RadioZonde I always imagined those Kid Icarus cards were gonna be one of those things that people thought were lame and pointless when they came out but would become SUPER valuable in the collector market. lol.
It was a fun idea, almost reminiscent to what the Yugioh anime does with "holograms" and all, but really odd choice to bundle it with Kid Icarus of all games.

Hey, thats the 3ds xl I have, but the european release of it. I still like using it occasionally and wish I were a bit more careful with it when I was a kid. It's got a few scratches. Admittedly, this 3ds was probably why I got an obsession to the golden color for quite a few years, basing both an in game character's color scheme and my golden steelseries rival 100 purchase in 2016.
And yeah, I got mine in Christmas 2013 so the year should be spot on. It's still my favorite 3ds, but I also wish I could have afforded a 2ds xl when it was still in production.
Seeing a mint condition again brings back some memories, this thing gave me many fun hours of gameplay.
Don’t worry about the condition, you have lots of memories with it which imo is more valuable

Not only is it one of my favorite Zelda games, but out of all of my 3DS systems I have, I still love this one the most! One thing I’ve always said about Zelda 3DS systems is that all the Golds are all very different from each other and the Gold on this system stands out the most to me. would love to talk 3DS and Handhelds with you one day if possible, it’s always cool to see another handheld fan gush about the beauty and awesomeness of these handhelds.

Just grabbed one with box (US version) that was at my local game store. Payed more than I should have but felt like playing Link between worlds and Ocarina of time 3d again lol
Hey Elliot, I was wondering if you still had your PO box? I have a non-working pink DS Lite that I thought you could use for parts or repair. Despite it not working, it's in decent condition. I'd rather not throw it out

I actually played around a lot with the AR feature back when the 3DS came out. I didn't have a lot of 3DS games, but I found the whole 3D concept so cool. I grew up with the classic DMG Gameboy, so seeing how far we came from that beast is stunning to me to this day.
Thanks to you I’m about to mod my first GameBoy Advance - got a glacier blue model and I’m going to throw in an IPS screen and the clear amp speaker mod. Wish me luck!

Just a question. I recently bought a second hand special edition pokemon 2ds with blue pre installed. It hadn't been factory reset.
I want to know if when I factory reset it, if the game stays installed?
I don't know for sure, but if I recall correctly, those 2DS consoles came with a download code for Red/Blue. Therefore the game would be lost upon factory reset.

Friend at work wanted my hacked PSP and offered a 3DS so I said yes. Then I seen the pics and it’s a New 3DS XL in all Red and brand new condition minus a charger. So I offered him another PSP and OEM Component Cables letting him know the 3DS value was higher. Got it last night, battery dead so Monday my charger should get here. It’s super minty fresh. He also added Pokémon Moon even after I said he could keep it 😅. I think he felt bad because he didn’t have the charger.
I own this version of the 3DS, really nice looking.
I have the PAL variant of this, it needs some repair work but I’m still VERY proud of it! I mainly got it so that using it and my OG 3DS, I can trade Pokémon between my X and Y games, but I was still very happy to have this as my main 3DS until I got a New Nintendo 3DS!

You should have put the chest opening jingle over when you opened the 3DS itself for the first time... It does look in immaculate condition, I really fancied getting one of those limited editions but Nintendo really muddied the water with so many variations (XL, New)
I pwn this 3ds xl, thr US version anyway. It wasnt my first 3ds, that was the classic blue 3ds xl. But that one became faulty and Zelda 3DS XL came along at a perfect time i loved that thing

A gracious friend of mine gifted me this 3ds because he wasnt using it anymore.
Even in average condition with a bunch of scratches it is hands down the best special edition nintendo has ever made, your title is absolutely true.
The bonus is that it already having scratches means that I dont need to be guilty carrying it around.

sorry to be the pedant but there is not a NTSC or PAL 3DS, or any other handheld really as that refers to the video format. every 3DS has the same video format so better to refer to them by the region they were released in

My first 3DS was the Link Between Worlds Special edition. I still have it but sadly the right hinge cracked and when it became more loose I decided to retire it with a 2DS XL. I need to sit down one day and figure out if I should seek out the parts to repair it or part with it. I should of bought an extra one when Rick was plugging them in an ep of Rick and Morty.
I still have my North American version and the box, Amazon says you can buy one for $650!

I have the same type of Nintendo in white color but the top is all scratched up like hell. Not deep scratches, but a lot of scratches. I wonder, Elliot, what polishing product do you recommend, to deal with that??
I love designs like this that aren't in your face. makes it feel more expensive/premium and like more time was put into the design, maybe that's just me though

I've gotten one LE "new" 3DS, it being the Super Mario Black Edition. It was dubbed the Black Friday 3DS, and it was a $100. I think the XL version was only sold in the US, with just this one, a white version, and a Animal Crossing version. And the operation manual it came with was a standard "new" 3DS XL manual, cause I guess XL was the only version sold in the US.

Apparently, the Japanese version reads "The Legend of Zelda: Triforce of the gods 2" and I suppose that "link to the past" would have been triforce of the gods 1. I never thought to see if they had different titles before

The Zelda themed 3DS models are some of my favorite themed handhelds ever 👍👍 the only themed Zelda console that I don't own is the 2DS XL/LL, and finding one now that's anywhere near reasonable in price is an exercise in futility. New ones are listed for $1K+ last time I checked.. they are all gorgeous tho, cool pickup Elliot ✌️

That is a beautiful looking 3DS. If it wasn't for the fact that I was trying to save money when I was looking for a 3DS and I was also looking specifically for a New 3DS XL when I eventually got one the Link Between Worlds edition was the one I would've otherwise gotten myself.
I bought this variant from CeX and they sent me the much more expensive New 3DS XL Majora's Mask Edition. It was a definite win.
I just bought the PAL version of this a few weeks ago.
It's in absolutely mint condition too.
That japanese box art is definitely nicer though!
I used to have this model before upgrading to the New XL. Real sad to say goodbye to it, but I eventually upgraded again to the small model, so at least I was able to swap face plates out

By far the best special edition 3DS. The minimal design is so good, I much prefer it to some of the other designs with complex graphics and patterns. It also pairs nicely with the triforce gold gba SP.
I had this one. I ended up trading it for the Hylian Shield 2DS XL.

designs like that is what i love. Not over the top just a simple design also you know what game themes edition this is.
I threw away my AR cards because I thought they were just some advertising thing, and I am genuinely so disappointed about that.
You can display an image of them on your phone and it'll work so it's not like you're missing out on anything
@FartJiggly I didn't even get the real ones with my 3ds lmao, it was an owned n3dsxl and the only thing that came with it apart from the console was the charging cable
I used the AR cards when I got my first 3ds because it was cool seeing the 2d pictures pop up to life on the screens.
