I don't think I ever knew eBay had 2 account types. I've had an individual account since 2007. Then in 2008 I made another account for buying. The buying account has a tax exempt on it, this account is also Individual and cannot be changed to a business.
Hello. I have an ebay personal account for selling. I have 400 items and growing. Do i need to have a business account to open a store? Should i register as a business regardless? Thanks
If you have your own brand name for the business then we’d recommend a business account but this is personal choice. Be sure to subscribe to our channel if you haven't done so already. Thanks!
Hi what is the differences between a solo business account and a limited company ? Do we need to inform hmrc when becoming a business solo seller ? Thanks
Hi bargaintime06, please reach out to a tax advisor or account for queries on this as your set up will be dependent on your own personal circumstances. The overall biggest difference between a sole trader and a limited company is that a sole trader is owned and controlled by one person who has unlimited personal liability for the business whereas a limited company will have its ownership split into equal shares.
So I make and sell items on my personal ebay account, maybe 20 items/month with low revenue. I'm a sole trader, not registered for VAT or with company house. Do I *have* to have an eBay business account?

Hi, how easy is it to become a business seller on eBay? I have an individual account, I want to convert it to a business account and buy & sell as a reseller. I have stuff around the house which I had for years that I want to sell but don't have receipts and also stuff from carboot sale which I don't have receipts for. How would I be able to do my tax without receipts? I've not setup a business before so this is all new & daunting to me. Any tips or advice would be really appreciated. Thanks

Hi Swan, Large quantity to one person can be small to sellers. It's a personal preference but in relation to the account type you chose, because you will be subject to selling limits in terms of money/units.
Hi @MrVuittonDon, when operating as a business in the UK, you would need to provide the company details which would include name, address, UTR, registered address and business owner details. This would be similar for other Amazon accounts - US, etc
I needed to increase my listing amount i tried to requested but it didnt work ! switched to business account like couple clicks and it got set up and it increased to 50k !

I'm none the wiser after watching this, there are no specifics
Hi there! What specifics do you need to query?

Well, I'm convinced! Business it is, considering I have to do a tax return now anyway, just to prove I earn under £1700
