Great video and thanks for the shout out. I agree on the marketing side, I think leaning too hard into the "halo with portals," misses out on some of the absolutely insanely good things Splitty does.
Never got into the first one too much, but after how the devs seemed to turn Splitgate 1 around after going F2P I’m interested in giving whatever comes in the future a shot.
@senseixero999 Bro, all I've seen in these comments is you ankle biting trying to get a reaction. We know you don't like Splitgate. Ok? We get it. If you want attention so much, just join a Catholic church.
Tbh I won't be the least bit surprised when they release Splitgate 2, it blows up, they make a shitload of money and then stop supporting it again. It happens time and time again. Someone makes a great game, and then for one reason or another they kinda randomly decide, mid-hype, to just start working on something else and put the current title in maintenance mode while everyone is still excited about it. I'm tired, boss
They lost me when they removed a ton of modes that I enjoyed in Splitgate 1, my favorite being VIP. But I came back when No Portal game made was introduced and love it. I really hope they have VIP and no portals in Splitgate 2.
The populations be spiking over the last like 3-4 weeks not hugely but its been nice....im actually starting to miss the FFA waiting room because the games are coming in so much quicker haha ...also i think they have modified the bots a little they have started strafing and crouching occasionally (don't get me wrong they are still goofy but its pleasant)
If xdefiant doesn't disrupt anything this wont either. Only way this is gonna make waves big enough to "disrupt the fps market" is if it isnt free to play and actually has a roadmap that doesnt include sunsetting in a year to work on the 3rd one. They have to go back to the roots and launch the game full of content with a steady stream of content following. If its just another free to play full to the brim with microtransactions its not gonna disrupt anything. They need to go the route the devs for helldivers 2 went and update the game solely based on player feedback not stockholder and corporate management feedback. And with how they took 100m in funding and barely dropped a million into the game when they did something tells me this one isnt gonna be much better. I fully expect it to just be a reskinned retextured relaunch of the first game with some new maps.
A- xDefiant is from a AAA Publisher and cannot disrupt the market to begin with, as it’s part of that AAA market. B- most of your points are things I said in the video lol
@@lostsaves video is titled "will disrupt fps market" not "will disrupt AAA market" Xdefiant is a AAA title yes and if it cant disrupt the current state of fps games splitgate 2 isnt going to either. Simple as.
The concept of market disruption refers to breaking up/countering the status quo. An AAA published game IS the status quo. Cannot disrupt the system it represents.
@@lostsaves Thats objectively false. They had a huge promo campaign and had all the youtube and twitch gamers playing it and that only lasted like 2 weeks. Lmao palworld had better player retention during its hype bubble than splitgate 1.
I've always wanted this game to succeed. It certainly did to an extent, but it did not keep that same success for that long. I really hope splitgate 2 is pay-to-play honestly, It would just remove so much of the FOMO that comes with F2P games. Thats the big thing that has ruined Halo Infinite for me right now. It needs to have more interesting updates, more weapons and gameplay modifiers (like halo-esque equipment).
@WarpSonic However paid means more profit. Which can lead to much more updates that can have a lot more things because 1047 can actually afford them. One of the reasons why Splitgate died was because of the infrequent updates. If the updates are interesting and filled with content then there shouldn't be a problem.
Their original launch was so bad in 2019 they had to pretend they didn't release the game and pretended 2 years later to "release" it again. That failed even worse. You telling me a 3rd time is going to go better?

by turning it around you mean taking $100 million in funding and leaving the game an almost empty wasteland with the same season pass for over a year.

Nice video, and I am so hyped for this game.
Heck yeah!
This asthetic and like the whole weapon manufacturer thing reminds me of the finals
This is the most based on point take ive heard from a content creator! Great vid
i love the halo style / arena gameplay, its just i cant get with the portals mechanic. Its sad because it looks so fun.

I mean I really hope it'll disrupt the market that'd be super cool and healthy for the shooter market.
I’m from the future. You are absolutely correct
Not far enough in the future; game hasn’t even released yet
exactly if you're gonna time travel atleast do it right smh@@lostsaves
Checked it out a little bit, but stopped when Halo Infinite launched... redownloading now
GOGOGOGO

Well, now it's official 👍
my shooter out rn besides contractors is definitely the finals and a lil bit of paladins

The only reason that they sunsetted was it was a game they've been developing since college and didn't have the infrastructure to grow.
good video. unfortunately this did not age well.
Yeah I’m pretty bummed. They went against basically everything I expected for the game lol
Titanfall 3 is the fps that Will actually disrupt the market, if it's ever made ofc
I sure as hell hope it gets made
Splitgate 1 couldn’t even disrupt the Halo Infinite market tho
Sure, at that point most people hadn’t heard of it and it was still a very small team.
Now they’ve got big plans and a whole new game to launch
It felt like around season 2 everybody had Halo uninstalled and they were on splitty or rocket league

This is not how paragraph structure works
Um hello paid means less players. It would sell like 5k units and no one else would try

I will hate it if they delete the original
Their original launch was so bad in 2019 they had to pretend they didn't release the game and pretended 2 years later to "release" it again. That failed even worse.
You telling me a 3rd time is going to go better?
That is a hilariously skewed way of looking at things.
Failed worse? The servers crashed because they had TOO MANY players
Will disrupt it by having everyone play it for 2 weeks and then die faster than a turtle with cancer.
u buggin
