Personally, I look at this song specifically and think "hmm yes this is my favorite song that's some good music time to listen to it again and again and..."
Bastion is why they're my one of favorite game companies. I loved it so much I trusted them with Transistor and loved it. Since I loved those, even though I thought Pyre seemed really different from what I was used to from them, I gave it a shot. I loved it. Hades is one of my favorite games, period. If they revisit the world of any of their games, I'd be all over it. They normally never seemed to.. but Hades 2's announcement has given me some hope, even if it is mostly because of how acclaimed Hades was.
man I was replaying Bastion while a friend was over (and they had never played before). they didn't watch me play, they were doing their own thing but whenever this soundtrack came on they instantly knew they had to prepare for my incessant screeching lol.
I heard the start of a Persian song called “not until you return” and immediately thought of this but I can’t tell what instrument makes them sound so similar
Which station was it and what country? They've started playing video game music on the radio on occassion here in the UK now. I'll never get over the time I was heading to work one evening for a night shift, tuned into the car radio and One Winged Angel played back at me.
Haha haven't had the chance to play (or more likely watch a playthrough) of Bastion yet, but knowing fragments and that it's Supergiant I just yeeted it into my main playlist and found this confusing beauty. Also my suspicions of it being a boss theme is almost 100% confirmed by the comments.
This was my first PC game outside of shit like Neopets as a kid. The soundtrack stood out to me so much, and I still listen to it after all these years. Truly incredible.
Did this song sample Jay Chou's 藍色風暴 (Blue Storm)? (at 1:47 of that song) Or did they both sample the same source? I cant find any info on either online
I keep thinking "aw man this one's one of my favorites", then clicking the next one and thinking the exact same thing, over and over
same, the whole soundtrack is my favorite ^_^

This was the soundtrack that made me discover why music is so important in games. It only got better from this point.
Bastion is a game that Supergiant should revisit sometime. There is some rich lore between the Caelondians and the Ura.

0:28 This part reminds me of Ottoman music. Thank you Supergiant.
Yeah, It is similar to eastern style.
Very similar to a Cretan lyra as well which makes me really like this song
A proper story's start is very similar as well
Iranian. Not roachoman. T*rks don't know music or anything civilized especially not art.
This song reminds me of the modern Hades OST, since there's so much plucked string, although in Hades, it's a lyre.
Hey, I remember this song. Panic: The Song.
supergiant blessing us once again by filling up our subscription boxes with breathtaking music
What the? that was kinda scary seeing the whole screen blasted with OST vids
I survived the subscription bombing of Jul24th 2019
0:36 "Lil squirt didn't make it..."

Makes me want to play it again. Such a fun game.
Bastion? In 2019? Don’t mind if I do!
I heard the start of a Persian song called “not until you return” and immediately thought of this but I can’t tell what instrument makes them sound so similar

1:30 no way that sound effect is actually in the game
"They say one whiff of lung blossom is enough to make you lose your mind."
Just heard this played on the radio, so glad they’re finally playing music from game OSTs

as soon as I heard this song, my mind was like: BOSS! BOSS! BOSS! BOSS! BOSS! BOSS!
Boppin' along intensifies.
This song signals when you should bring out the trip mines.

Bastion is an instant classic, and its soundtrack has aged so well. Never gets old, for sure.
Incredible
3:06-3:44 has been my alarm music for like 10 years
This was my first PC game outside of shit like Neopets as a kid. The soundtrack stood out to me so much, and I still listen to it after all these years. Truly incredible.
The tune is almost the exact same as Believe It (Extended Version) which is the German Opening song for Naruto :0
Supergiant games: what did you sacrifice?
My subscription bar: everything
Don't explain why I got all these in my inbox suddenly, just keep playing them
praise korb
This track shares a sample with a naruto opening lol. the "if you can believe it" opening has the same plucked instrument as in 0:45 here
