    That tractor is very nice piece of equipment no doubt about it !
    I don't want to disappoint you that most of the parts of this tractor made in Europe.
    Deere has an engine plant in France where all the 6068 engines are built . And as far as I know the IVT transmission is made by ZF in Germany.
    The successor of this model is a 6190R which is a fully European JD tractor just like the processor of it the 7530.

    John Deere is not completely american... they bought Lanz Bulldog in the 1960s.. a german brand of which they got a lot of know how.. and still today much of the development is done in Gemany so the 7530 is not even close to being an all American tractor... just for the record...

    • @nigelmchugh5541
      @nigelmchugh5541 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Lanz factory was bombed flat in the Second World War, then Deere bought the factory in the early 1950's. The first tractors they produced had Lanz gearbox and Deere engines.

    • @arminpaulus2666
      @arminpaulus2666 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is true, John Deere bought the Lanz Werke back in the days. But the time of the old two strokes was over and Lanz had to sell or close. Not so sure if there was a lot of technology transfer, John Deere was looking for a way into european markets.

    • @nigelmchugh5541
      @nigelmchugh5541 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      And there was a requirement for foreign tractors manufacturers who wished to sell in France to have a local content. So they built their engine plant in Saran. John Deere almost built their European factory in Scotland before switching to Mannheim.

  • @JohnDeerefan-fo1qp
    @JohnDeerefan-fo1qp 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    almost everything you've pointed out that's outside the tractor has been standard on the European John Deeres since 10 series.. that's not even a full lighting package. two extra lamps below indicators plough lights on the mud guards are also available. and the new 6R lighting package is miles ahead of that 30 series.. American spec tractors must be fair crude if your amazed by all the little things

    Oh for God's sake, get over it! Nothing is totally made in any country any more, parts come from all over the world. The important thing is to keep as many jobs in the U.S. as possible. You can quibble until hell freezes over about where something is made.

    hi wes. sorry to be a bit of a party pooper, but that ivt gear box isn't really supposed to be thrown in and out of forward and reverse on the move like that. it will do it but if you plug a diagnostics machine into it, there will be an error code that says something like '' reverse selected while moving forwards''. its always better to stop and change direction. better for the box that way. sorry to sound snotty just thinking whats best for the box

    • @onelonleyfarmer

    Hi Wes, great film, get that egr done asap! my contractor has a number of 30 series deere's, had two engine's fail, cost him over £20000 to repair them. Has now bypassed the egr and remapped the engine management on all of the 30's, now got more power and better fuel consumption. keep up the good work.

    John Deere is the largest tractor manufacturer in Germany (with destinations all over the world for the machines manufactured in Mannheim, Zweibrücken, Bruchsal - you name it!). And market leader in terms of road certified/licensed tractors for the full HP range; now for 17 years in a row!). Just keep in mind a small detail whilst dwelling on German/US build or originated items: John Deere from USA took over Heinrich Lanz aka "The Bulldog" (The german equivalent to John Deere´s Jonny Poppers") in the late 50ies.

    I have a 235R with IVT and used it mostly for lighter work like a pull type sprayer. I learned not to have the engine/IVT setting on auto because the computer would only want the engine running at like 1300-1500 rpm cause thats all that was needed to do the job. great for fuel economy but bad for keeping exhaust filter clean. when it gets plugged you are forced to sit parked with engine at high idle for 15 mins or longer!! how the hell does that save the environment stupid ass EPA?

    • @andreasrotter2280

    Only thing I didn't care for on the 30 series was the variable speed fan drive on the engine. The early ones ran the fan drive off of engine oil, they later updated it to run off trans fluid which makes more sense. The Egr isn't to bad, compared to a 6170r with all that emissions crap, it's hard to beat the 20 series.

    We have a 7330 with same screens in front of radiator. Using it in the hayfield is a pain. Will plug up every couple hours in really dusty conditions. Best fix? Throw them away and blow radiator out whenever needed like other tractors. They are ok tractors but still has a lot to prove to be as reliable as our 7810.

Supplied to manufacturers like John Deere by companies like exon, maxol etc.You want to by best oil quality? Go with Castrol.. Mann Hummell filters or Mahle.

    These are magnificent machines, no doubt. There may be an undesired consequence to all these amenities. John Deere is copying the auto industry, building sophisticated equipment that is very difficult to repair or even diagnose should anything malfunction. And there are many electronic components associated with all the many features. John Deere wants to delete the back yard mechanic as there is much profit potential in future parts sales and the employment of specific diagnosis equipment run by highly trained, highly paid technicians. I wonder if all JD dealerships are even qualified or able to service such a machine or if it would have to be hauled to Newark.

    Nice tractor. Leave the English license plates on them. Most people won't know what the hell that plate is when they see it.

    You can also start the pto from the fender pto buttons too. Just have to set it in the tractor 1st.

    Tractors have certainly changed a lot since I used to ride along on them as a lad. There were no cabs, passengers sat on the fender and climate control was an umbrella.
    We seem top have similar ideas about how to service a newly purchased used vehicle. Change the fluids and filters, and for cars and trucks I would also change the belt(s) and hoses. When you pointed out the air filters I knew they wouldn't be cheap, but wow! I hope that they last a decent amount of time.

      They are much more efficient at doing work that is for sure. Although, where as the farmall you grew up on could still be working to this day, these new generations of tractors will all be in the junk yard in 30 years.

    I have two 6430 premium with IVT, front hitch and pto. Love the IVT, when I'm snowblowing and get into a big bank you slow to a crawl and let the blower eat. The 6430 was built in Germany also, the dealer told me they were built there because they are more popular in Europe than the US.

    Lovely tractor. Nice buy. But be a shame to put on loader on it though. My old man is stuck in his loader tractor ways. Since driving lots of different farmers telehandlers, I realize they're just so much more practical and efficient at getting the job done. JCB TM 320 is the favourite ive ever used. The maneuverability of that machine is daft.
