    Man, don't worry. We always have times in life which we aren't feeling the best. I can relate when you said that you prefer your time alone rather that socializing, not that I don't enjoy talking to people but it can be very energy consuming. And also the turbillion of things that is happening in your life right now have probably made you more exhausted. I love when share about your life and what is happening, makes the video not just a robotic review but something more human. Take a break when feel like it. Love your videos, keep it up 😜.

    I like your way of explaining the technical details. Well understandable and super interesting for someone who is "only listener" of IEMs. Also great how you describe your perception of the sound. Maybe I can ask you for a recommendation when I know exactly what I want. :)

    I am almost 64 with some hearing damage. For me and my situation the Galileo looks ideal. Exactly what I have been looking for. My hearing damage makes my very sensitive to sibilance issues in the eargain region of the frequency response graph.

    Very nice video as always. I typically just watch till the end because you have very good points sprinkled into your videos.
    Just curious, how do they compare to your Canpur IEMs? Being hybrid drivers without physical crossovers, I wonder how much the driver quality plays a role in the overall sound quality. Would you comment or do a comparison on video as well?

    I haven't been able to fully enjoy iems/headphones they way I do with speakers. Listening to even poorly placed speakers feels more natural to listen to than putting something on or in my head.
    The more I hear about these, the more I want to at least try a pair. Maybe a more natural timbre can help my brain overcome other unnatural aspects

      You might consider Flatheads instead for wearables solution. Comfort wise they are one scale above iems and provide some of the speaker spacial distance effect.

    I recently made an IEM with the smd components just hanging in the shell like here and I get an annoying pinging noise when I touch the shell while it's in my ear. Pretty sure the foam is there to stop that.

    How does the build quality of the Canpur hybrid compare? and sound quality of the Canpur 1&1? Glad you've returned. Taking me time is important.

    • @hi-friaudioman
      @hi-friaudioman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So the canpur 1&1 is a lot brighter in the upper mids and treble and the timbe is a lot more uneven compared to Galileo but I think the stage width/depth, seperation of instruments and 3D is better on the 1&1. Build quality is a toss up, both are pretty good although the 1&1 uses thicker resin so as far as drops and falls I'd say the 1&1 is a little more durable.
      The Galileo is better designed acoustically but the 1&1 uses much thicker, seemingly more durable resin.

    Great video as usual Sir Jeffrey your inputs definitely benefit me a lot in considering Galileo while I don't have the same tolerance as you when it comes to treble I certainly don't want something that sounds lacking and yes this based on measurements and reviews definitely hits my preference of wanting something smooth but has vocal clarity so yeah thank you sir Jeffrey
    Also if you ever do decide to do measurements can you also include their distortions?
    The distortions of the DD and BA alone and the distortion of both together
    I do wonder because based from what you said if they are technically both working full range with just having lower volume on certain frequencies wouldn't that translate to it having higher than normal in distortion compared to those with a true crossover setup? Because their distortions would probably add up?
    also tbh it's using a different than usual DD in it's price range which makes me curious
    And also don't worry about being away we all need time and space and we all get drained even if we are doing things that we love to do

    • @nurab-sal1276
      @nurab-sal1276 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      While you are correct with respect to the distortion, you have to note that the distortion/THD is defined as the sum (square root of the squared sums) of the distortion components divided by the total signal. Or the fundamental. Or the fundamental including the distortion. If you stay below 10% all the definitions have the same answer basically.
      Anyway, this means that the THD of a driver can do up and down, not only based on the distortion but also by the total signal. That is why you see at the low end when a signal is filtered that the distortion goes up really fast. It is not the distortion which goes up (although that might also be the case), but the total signal does down.
      That also means that when adding the distortions of a loud playing driver and a softer playing driver, that although indeed the raw distortions will add up (based on the phase of the respective distortion component), it will not influence the summed THD too much because the louder driver is dominating the output.
      I would still add a series capacitor, because at some level the BA will not be able to "catch up" and the distortion will skyrocket. Also, when putting a BA in parallel with another driver without actually using it you increase your power consumption but not your output, so it is wasteful with a lower efficiency.

    • @hi-friaudioman
      @hi-friaudioman  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi thank you for your comment. I would like to include more measurements in the future, Maybe I will include them in my next VS video as I'd like to compare Galileo to hexa in terms of distortion performance.
      Speaking of distortion, I think you may be correct as the distortion of both drivers is taken into account, although usually when more than one driver is playing at any time, depending on frequency the volume of each driver us appropriately halved so the distortion would be a sum of both, also depending on the harmonic of the distortion it is probably possible that the harmonic distortion could cancel each-other out creating less distortion at certain frequencies although I'm not sure on that. Driver distortion is not the same as clipping distortion, essentially driver distortion is based on harmonics or semi-tones so I think this is entirely possible but I could be wrong.

      @@hi-friaudioman @Nur Ab-Sal thank you guys for your insights
      I do wonder since you brought up the concept of "cancelling out" which I do somehow agree
      I do have another thought that just came into mind
      Wouldn't it be possible that the act of cancellation kinda acts as a dampener to the sound?
      like we tend to generally think that foam and nozzles dampen sound
      but would you say it's possible "X IEM" sounds dampened simply because the multiple drivers inside are cancelling each other when they go outside the nozzle?
      though I still don't know it that's a good thing or a bad thing given how we have so many "technically good multi driver" IEM's
      anyway just a thought for tonight haha

    In Hexa teardown you said that you will comparison them to Galileo, so how are they? I really like Hexa with TRI Clarion tips (they sounds like wide bore tips, but not killing that amount of bass), using them to listen music like Portishead, Lamb, Morcheeba and many other trip-hop alike female vocal bands.
    But still, I want to try Galileo since its looks very nice and comfy, the cable with its hooks is perfect for me (I have s12 pro), the tuning looks better in 1.5-10k region and I dont really care about what's is happening after 10k since 90% of time I listen music on the go.

    Looks like an expensive 7hz zero or a slightly less warm Hola.

    • @hi-friaudioman
      @hi-friaudioman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, for sure very similar to zero except for the treble area. I'd be curious to hear how they compare. Next I will be comparing Galileo to Hexa as I feel it is the closest competition.
      Yeah hola is definitely a little more bass heavy, a little more skewed darker although I would say Galileo sounds warmer to my ears but that's just because of the treble roll-off compared ti the amount of mids.
      I would probably say the hola is a darker, more treble heavy Galileo with a slightly gritty timbre.

    Honestly not a fan of any of the collab IEM's. I feel like they all try to make an IEM to a very specific target that other IEM's do better already. They might be slightly cheaper or seem a little fancy but in general they for me aren't great picks.
