    Lived in Cebu for 4 yrs from 2019 to 23 both in fully furnished Condos and they were furnished by our standards, meaning a bed, table and chairs and kitchen equipment. It was turn key.

    Rod😂,really 😂information and seeing 👀 CEBU City. Having been stationed at Clark Air Base (Angeles City) back in 1991 at age 28. Now age 61 now, a widower and my children are grown now. I am preparing to return and retire around CEBU City in 2025, next year. Eventually, I will apply for the American Military 🪖 Philippines sponsored SRRV program. I really like the cost in CEBU City as compared to Makati BGC in the Manila area. Plus CEBU City has large hospitals. So, I need to live Manila, but to large and prices higher than average. Davao City, I just get nervous about Mindanao area. So, my conclusion for my total needs is CEBU City. Even, the province would be to remote for me. CEBU City, has good prices, hospitals 🏥, airport. Thank you for this video Rod. Enjoy the Philippines 🇵🇭

      Good points David. Cebu City has challenges like everywhere but is big enough to check many of the needs.

    That is where I want to rent, In IT park Cebu business area, I think it might be a good landing place for a newbie to get acclimated to the town and how to get around for shopping and having fun

    I've stayed at Sundance a couple of times and really like it, pretty much everything you need locally,some great restaurants and cafes within walking distance and quite close to the city centre, an ATM outside the Mall and more just down the road.

    Hey Rod, Mike here. This video was very informative. I like the ride around and your narration of the different condo buildings. Having lived in Imus Cavite back in 2017-2018 I’m planning to move back to the Philippines and reside in Cebu City when I retire. Thanks for sharing.

    Well done Rod, i enjoyed that ride along with you. You certainly have an excellent knowledge of Cebu City. I miss the climate there, even if it is a tad hot at the moment. Take care brother.🍺🍺

    I want to live in a place where I don't want to have a car or scooter. I don't care about that stuff anymore. It's a risk/reward thing. Also I actually like riding a bus, and socializing on a bus. I did that for years in LA.
    I want to rent for a year or two, and then buy the right condo for me.

    Hey rod long time subscriber. Still early 30s but born and raised in canada and on vacation here rn. Just in the beginning of the vid. I think you were going towards banawa and not guadalupe. Because i live across 1 pavillion. Which is on duterte/salvador st. But ya not a big deal. Keep up the good work

    Nice to be "back in the Philippines" Always nice videos from you Rod :-) I'm coming back in November and thinking of getting 3 tooth implants but can anyone recommend a good dentist?

    • @Imold774
      @Imold774 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can get that done inside Sm seaside. I believe tooth implants are roughly $3k usd per tooth in cebu city

    • @motivationontop6587
      @motivationontop6587 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And I called that is a scammer, my uncle from California pay his implant for 3K the whole upper tooth, 3K per teeth sounds like 💯 % scam, authorities should check that place out man , I hope you are not part of this scam

    Hi Rod: 52 Work/ +21 Vacation/ 104 Calendar Days until Retirement. Still looking like Mid-October for my Six Month Vacation in Cebu City... Passport in hand... Wise Account open... Are there many places like One Pavilion with Condos over a Mall? That seems very convenient to me.

      Glad to see you are planning ahead Ted. Park Point and Alcoves at Ayala Mall are basically connected. SM Mall has Sunvida right across the street but almost all are small studios. Robinson's Galleria has the Robinson's Residences on site. I have done videos of all of them.

    Rod, The HSBC Bank you spoke of at the end is that the ATM 🏧 where one can get 800 equivalent usa dollars? Ill be back to my place in Liloan 3 more months. I hope its cooler then😅

    • @AmazingPhilippines1
      @AmazingPhilippines1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, 40,000 pesos allowed per transaction with no fee from HSBC. Their conversion rate is about 3 pesos lower than the real rate so choose not use their rate which is one of the questions when using their ATM.

    Thx.. But unless your just too old or handicap...I have no idea why anyone would want to live in a condo..after living in one Makati for 8 months. Like living in secured resthome.

    • @AmazingPhilippines1
      @AmazingPhilippines1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is a lifestyle decision. Security and convenience are just 2 reasons. Convenience to shopping, restaurants, bars also are reasons. They take care of the pest control and maintenance. I know a couple of expats who have had their rented home robbed.

      @@AmazingPhilippines1 Hi Thx.. I understand your thoughts..but for me.. I live in a nicer condo Makati 25th floor built 2015.. Cockroaches galore.. they will come in and spray but I do not trust the chemical they're using. I've been battling them myself. The security here is overboard. Take ID's from visitors and will not allow carry on type bags unless prior approval..meaning a form to be approved 24 hours b4 arrival. No ID-no entry when accompanied by owner. The stove top blew up and the breaker didn't throw.. Has been down for 4 months now and the owner refuse to replace. Refrigerator went down about 5 months ago,, which I had to replace since it still worked but would not get temp below 50F. But for me, I need to have a yard and a carport or garage with just a little bit of space. Oh..I am 4 months away from end of my 1 year lease-which I prepaid the year at movein.

I visit Cebu often..and yes I understand the security issues with a house..but you would not believe the secuirty here. I prepaid the year lease here. be gone by AUgust.. Most likely Cebu
