My food expense is now around P17,000 a month (up from around 10K back in 2019), we buy our meat from a major meat supplier here, we get anything from boneless lamb shoulder, pastrami salami milano any cut of beef, chicken (comes warm still) pork, filet salmon shrimp lobster tail, all fresh no more than 8 hours old, the organic rice is awesome, havent bought meat from the market or supermarkets in 10 yrs. Only problem is the price increase thank you COVID. Been her since 2013, married 11 yrs wife just retired after 25 yrs with the Bureau of Immigration. I retired with full E-8 MRP (USMC 76-00) It's great go have her home full time. She's very well connected so we should be able to get anything we need without a problem. Good Luck. 13A RULES.
Good video Rod. That Paranaque Visa Acceptance center might be important to me. If you did get your passport renewed, I think I would take a trip out of the country and re-enter rather than go through the bureaucracy to get stamps transferred. Take care.
I'm still waiting for my motorcycle plate from March 2023. We finally got our car plates after two years. My wife got her motorcycle plate two weeks ago from July 2022. Many visitors and expats wonder why is it so slow here.
Laissez-faire attitude, no incentive to increase production. They get paid the same regardless if they processed 100 batches of files versus 1000. Typical government bureaucracy!
I bought the bike in 2019, when we arrived "permanently" in late 2020 the dealer claimed to have not yet received the plate. I checked in monthly for about 8 months and finally gave up. In Ayala there's a print shop that makes decorative license plates. I had one made there with the correct information that should be on the plate. No one ever questioned it.
Enjoying the Waterfront Hotel and Casino here in Cebu City… I do come here every time I come to the PH for a few days and I can say with certainty it seems that the banning of the POGOs has improved the card playing traffic here. I had never seen a poker game going at the waterfront until now… So just an interesting tidbit .
From 45 pesos to the dollar to 55 pesos is almost 20% 👍. Fiancée visas are the easiest to get approved, then marriage visas, tourist visas for Philippine women to the US are very difficult to get unless they own property, have large bank accounts, or own Philippine businesses so US immigration knows the chances of them overstaying their visa is low. Good video, Rod...Jim
@@IB4U2Cme You must be a liberal, thinking they should just let in whoever wants to come to the US, they have to have some sort of policy, whats your suggestion?
@jsully4064 Thanks Jim. True. The border system is broke also. Where I grew up in Minnesota, first it was the Vietnamese refugees taking over many jobs (they were legal at least) , then Mexico flooded these factories and packing houses, working for much less than the local citizens. Personal experience with several relatives losing their jobs unit the illegals were finally removed from the area....at least some of them.
I enjoy your videos! Thanks!. An idea for a new video of big interest: all of us older people, despite being healthy now, in 5, 10, 15 years from now will need help, a person to help us. What are the options in the Philippine? Are there also "residential" areas specially for older people?
Never overpay for things in the Philippines, especially when the dollar goes up against the php, because eventually when the price comes down you will have helped to increase inflation rates and not only screw yourself, but everyone else as well. What happens when you are only receiving 45php per $1 usd again. REKT! Cheers.
Good point. I stocked up on things like coffee and olive oil before the big price increases. They didn't sell much at the higher price and eventually dropped the prices.
Did I misunderstand you or did you say that to get my entry stamp and Philippine visa transferred to my new US passport, I have to personally do it at BI in Manila? So JRC is not able to take care of that at the Cebu BI office anymore?
As I commented above, rather than deal with Immigration I would take a cheap trip out of the country and re-enter, restart the clock, 29 days visa waiver on return and you get to do a little sight seeing for a day for possibly $200. Manila is probably a plane trip, KL is just a little longer plane trip.

Even at 55,still a better deal than the crippling inflation here in Ohio and the entire US.
Truth!!! I never want to go home 😂…
True Rick. I was shocked when I did some price comparisions.
It’s worse in Canada

POGO licenses are expensive, and worthless. Unrevognized in the US market.
Glad to see you posting regularly again

The USA FED will be cutting rates 1/2 % this month and at least 1/2% more before year end. The MegaCorps are out of control.
I think "democracy" has been taken over by "Corptocracy" with corporations having way too much power and influence.
We're right about 2 years since buying our N-Max, and still waiting for the plate.

Public policy made to help people in the US have better lives? Wealth discrimination is just one way to know that immigration services are broken.
