Salaam sir can u tell me from where u got new gear box , iam looking for new parts for my land cruiser please can u share link . from Islamabad thank u
Uhh, you should have rebuilt the automatic tranny, especially with this low mileage, it could not have developed any major issues with planetary gears and shafts yet(those are expensive and hard to find). This isn't a rocket science, I did just that myself, and this was my first time doing that too, there is a toyota FSM with step by step instruction. Overhaul kits are available from Precision(USA). Torque Converter can be opened and repaired in a special shop or bought a new, they're still available. With this low mileage, it could probably be as easy as full flush and change the filer and it'd run like new :(
With 442 yes, sort of. Would need some wiring and 12volt source for the ECU though. A440 does not have any electrical parts inside. Also with the 442 you'd have to use TLC80/100 transfer case as well. But I don't see any problem with rebuilding the a440, seriously. I've done that with my own hands, and i'm not an automatic transmissions expert.
I gss, u would have found its original automatic gear system if u have looked in the car markets in baluchistan, while restoration was nice, and accordingly but better u would be gone for a car wrap instead of that grey colour paint!

Hi, can A440 be replaced with A442 or A343?
