      Hello Antonio, I like your videos, your guides and everything you are doing for the community BUT I do feel like I have to tell you about something that is always bothering me. Getting a paid sponsor is surely a great way to pay the bills but every time you do a promotion for you sponsors you look like a clown to me. You are only mentioning how awesome their products are, how you tested it and it works like out of this world but it looks so cheep. I believe you ought to be reviewing the products, meaning giving pros AND cons. Not giving cons of the product feels like you are selling fraud items. You have spent exactly 1:34 min in the middle of your video worshipping the sponsor and agine at the end of the video for another 17 seconds. The ammout of time you have invested in it was what triggered me to write you this message. Saying only good things about the products it most likely part of sponsorship agreement, but you surely have dosens of sponsorship proposals and so you are in the position to dictate what do you do or do not want. I hope this doesn't insult you in any way as it is definitely not purpose of this message.
      Your follower,
      MrAlyyk.

      You stated "I hope this doesn't insult you" after "you look like a clown to me". Maybe you might want to try a little patience with people. I'm sure you would like patience shown with your shortcomings.

      Real Men Real Style I am so happy that this video is finally here! I can't even stress enough the fact that there's a lot of first impression mistakes that I make. Mistakes like the eye contact is something that I struggle alot. But the two monsterous things that I always flaw is telling big stories and remembering people's names. Telling stories to my other ancestors or my friends is something that nearly 96% of the time I fail to do. This is something that I really need a serious habit to have. I mean of course I do tell stories. But yet of course, it's plain rare. So I'm glad that this video is finally out there. It's a massive video tip especially for people who struggles but also wants to have a much better communication skills to other people including his/her friends. In my opinion, being a good listener, good eye-to-eye viewer and good story teller is one of the biggest things to have for our own entire life in the coming future.

      You're right in I do have my choice of sponsors - only 1/25 proposals actually make it to video. Thus I choose only items I REALLY like that tie closely to the material we create. But these are paid promotions - not reviews - so hence I keep things positive. If I had a real issue with the product - it wouldn't be talked about at all as it wouldn't make it past my vetting process.

    Number 10 shouldn't be underestimated. I recently met someone who was very senior and very successful in a large global company. What struck me was that he instantly remembered my name and dropped it into the conversation several times. It left a lasting impression with me and I now try to memorise everyone's name.

Love you buddy but I do not play games. I'm just in them to recruit people to my or should I say THE team. A wonderful TEAM!
      and besides, I'm not afraid to ruin(not deliberately, of course, love happens what can I say) your second impression either... whatever it takes to proof to you, you are able to do better. Hate is okay but with a bit of anger towards yourself, you can get over it. Mark me saying anger not hate or harm. Mission accomplished.

    Number 9 is super important. Perhaps the most important for younger people like me who are doing college/university/job interviews as we have less experience and we are also more accustomed to using slang.

    This guy’s charisma and subtle humor is off the roof. You’re really talkative but you’re not annoying. There is something about your blend of eye contact, tone and bodily/verbal expression that would make you dominant in a group of a hundred other “gentlemen”. You’re a true representation of a respectable, believed to be extinct, gentleman concept. You could be talking nonsense and you could get people to listen to you. Everything about you is neither retro nor too modern, neither old school nor brand new, neither hipster nor bland. I have no idea how to describe the feeling you’re giving off except “a mix between subtle, unique and strong”.

  • @michaeldurbano2797

    Great list. I definetly need to improve on some of these, but shaking hands I have turned into an art-form. It is not only good for first impressions, but it is good for second, third, and every other impression there after. I make it a habbit to shake peoples hands every day. I do this with my superiors, peers and subordinate soldiers. A sincere and strong hand-shake levels the playing field for everyone. Seniors look at you more equally, peers feel truly appreciated, and subordinates no longer feel that they are beneith you. I have integrated this so much into my daily routine, I will often have people come by my desk, or wherever I am, just to get their daily hand-shake. And the most important thing about a sincere and friendly hand-shake is that it gives people a fighting chance to have a good day. I like being able to introduce something positive into someone's day, because life is sometimes rough and unforgiving and something as simple as a hand-shake and a smile might be all it take to change their outlook.

    At a career fair prep day someone was asking about what to do if your palms sweat because you’re nervous. I don’t know how helpful it actually is but the answer was that you can keep your arms down right before you go to introduce yourself and shake hands and you can quietly and subtly wipe your hands on your jacket a bit right before you introduce yourself.

    You said the magic phrase at 9:44, friend. People spend a lot of time moaning and groaning about how hard it is to be taken seriously, how hard it is to be an adult, to become successful.. but when you really start taking that key word seriously, really assimilate it into who you are, you quickly find yourself well over that hill and halfway down the other side. Then you come to a place like RMRS to put on the finishing touches. Cheers brothers.

    There are 2 types of people, however... people who are open for people who are reserved and cold and polite and people who are open to people who speak their mind, hot and honest enough to speak a harsh and sometimes 'rude' truth... I'm the last... I know the last is the least easy way in my opinion but I'm comfortable with the fact that some people want to be handheld their entire life. And on occasion, I will hold a hand either mine or theirs if they just open for that fact and not paint of someone who's 'obstructive' as a crook? Did any of you ever experience that? Then you'll feel right at home at the channel I set out for us. Anyway thanks Antonio for gracious inspiration! I'll hold your hand you sissy ! Ask A what that means!

    best way for me to remember names is to hear/see both first and last names.. i always forget first names but if im introduced with a first and last name i never forget. i can remember just about everyone i worked with years ago because i made it a point to know first and last names.. also makes a good impression with the higher ups when they find out you know your peers by first and last name, at least it did in my experience.

    Hi Antonio!
    All the points you brought up were ones that so many of us can subconsciously engage in without knowing. I see them in action so often. The poor body language I spotted my two friends doing just last night when we were at a club. I myself have been guilty of not remembering names right after meeting people. A deal breaker for sure. Being mindful is a priority when interacting either one on one or with a group.

    I've got a question. Now I hear you when you made mention about sweating and arriving earlier and staying cool and using product etc. I don't generally have major issues with underarm or hand sweating; for my body, I always wear a light vest or undershirt to avoid sweat prints through my clothes, and I don't really sweat on my hands, but my issue is that I perspire mainly on my forehead, alot, even though I am generally cool. The simplest of actions or movement, the beads start to appear. I always walk with a hand kerchief or a rag and constantly have to dab or swipe to keep it dry and clear, and even though it is, I still do regularly as a precautionary measure. I just always thought my forehead was simply overtly active with sweating. Does that (the constant wiping) look bad and unattractive, and how can I address or alleviate this. Thanks.

      Rodge B. Wear a dri-fit sports cap to absorb the forehead sweat

    Hey Antonio great video! I have solid eye contact and a strong hand shake and many people perceive me as overpowering how should I fix this it is a natural habit I don't really think about it

    • @RealMenRealStyle

      Just make sure you don't hold the eye contact and handshake for more than 2 seconds.

    Initiating a handshake with the hand in a pronate position indicates you're concealing something [ a bribe for example ] or you're trying to dominate the person. A friendly handshake is extended with a supinated open hand [I am not hiding anything, being transparent, friendship ].

    What do you do if someone tells you their name and its something you cannot say/ didnt hear?

    • @josepacheco1063
      @josepacheco1063 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      RJ Jones say "i'm sorry, you are..?" then make a gesture showing you din't hear it. then after that say "oh nice to meet" and don't forget to smile.

    • @jkxss
      @jkxss 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alternatively, you can ask them how they spell their name. Or if they could say it again. If they know they have a difficult name to pronounce, they will usually be fine with it and appreciate you taking the time to get it right.

    I'd like to know: if you want to talk to a group of people who are already in a conversation. Do you just ... barge in and introduce yourself (you can tell I don't like that idea too much) and then listen and participate or do you just listen until you can contribute to the conversation and only after that introduce yourself?

    Also: being super nice to me, but just a dick to other people (while I'm around). I once met a guy, thought 'ok, he takes some getting used to and he might not be the guy most people want to be around with all the time, but I get along with him.' Then, he was being very rude to a waiter and that stood out to me especially because I was also waiting tables on the side at that time.

    Hi Antonio, love your channel you put out great relevant content every week! My question is, I'm a guy who struggles finding pants that fit, as I am rather muscular and my thighs are larger than normal. Skinny, slim, and straight cuts all look awkward on my frame and relaxed fit are too bulky and not the style I'd like to have. Can you recommend specific brands/products that cater to men in my situation? I am over 6 foot and have a size 31-32 waist, and desperately need slacks, chinos, jeans, and shorts that will fit. Thank you so much for any help.

    Eye contact is hard for those on the autism spectrum. I hope you can give tips on eye contact.
    Additional first impression tip: Watch what you say. Never say that a lady is tolerable, but not handsome enough to tempt you.

    Let's say I'm the case that I forget a person's name. What is the most polite way to ask for their name again? Along a conversation or try to make them reintroduce themselves or what?

    • @rahuljosephkickyourass
      @rahuljosephkickyourass 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ask for their name......then they tell their name ...and then u say that u just wanted to know their surname as u have forgotten just their surname
