PLEASE keep this type of content coming. By far my fav retro series/video out rn. The vibes and convos are perfect. Love the content guys keep killing it!
Mega Man X2 & Mega Man X3 are my most expensive SNES games. It took me forever to find both copies of those games that I was happy with their condition. (Perfect cart/labels) You guys are quickly becoming my favorite "retro" gaming channel 👍 Keep up the great work my dudes!😎 🤜🤛
Awesome vid guys! Here's my top ten from my collection and I only have two CIB games. -Ogre Battle March Of The Black Queen CIB - Final Fight Guy - Earthbound - Mega Man X3 - Chrono Trigger - Kirby's Dreamland 3 - Mega Man X2 - Mario Paint CIB - Sunset Riders - Super Metroid
11:47 The reason they changed the name to Demon’s Crest is the original games weren't Gargoyle's Quest in Japan. They were translated from "Red Arremer: Demon World Village Side-Story" to avoid upsetting religious groups. When they got to the 3rd game they weren't as concerned & a more "accurate" name was given.
I love your collection. I’m a little short on snes title. Most of mine are 20ish. My best is turtles in time at 40. I have the snes classic and play expensive games on that. I started collecting about 10 years ago and the snes were jumping. I was getting my nes collection up back then.
Wow, this one started out with pure venom. It reminds me of a 1980s WWF promo, turned shoot. I surprisingly have some of these Castlevania IV, Contra, Sunset Riders. I have both copies of Sunset Riders and I can tell you the biggest changes in the Genesis version is that they have the Indian level and Indian boss like the arcade and there are only two playable characters. The Genesis was sitting at the local retro game store for months and i debated over and over and figured it was worth a buy just because it is not the same as the SNES. Great video as always gentlemen. Cheers
I absolutely love this series! Especially knowing you guys just do it for fun and aren't flexing lol. Also, have you guys seen the new retro Contra inspired game Iron Meat?! It looks amazing and is getting rave reviews. Launches on 9/25 and Strictly Limited is doing the physical and they already have it in stock! Pick it up!!!
HELL YEAH!!! Y'ALL were the first people I thought of when I saw John Riggs review the game lol. I just pre-ordered the physical copy today! @@GamingOffTheGrid
Thankfully I still have so many of my favorite SNES CIB. My most prized are Chronotrigger, Final Fantasy III, Dracula X, Legend of Zelda LttP, EVO the Search for Eden, Super Metroid, Secret of Mana and Killer Instinct with the Killer Cuts CD still in it. 😁 Great showcase, guys.
Here are my top 10 snes games. Earthbound cib Metal warriors cib Pocky and rocky 2 boxed Chrono trigger cib Final fight guy Sunset riders cib Hagane super famicom cib Super mario rpg cib Final fantasy iii cib Turtles in time cib Definitely a bunch more. I'd love to add to the collection at least loose copies. Awesome collection like always guys all banger games worth owning. I'll need to get myself batman and Robin one day
I'm not sure what mine are; I grabbed most of what I wanted decades ago. Some that might be in the running that I have are: Loose- Pocky & Rocky Pocky & Rocky 2 Castlevania: Dracula X Demon's Crest Run Saber R-Type III Dragon View Ogre Battle CIB- Earthbound Chrono Trigger Final Fantasy III Lufia II Super Metroid Super Mario RPG Contra III Mega Man Soccer Street Fighter Alpha 2 I'm probably pretty outdated on pricing, though, so who knows. Maybe Cacoma Knight in Bizyland or Firestriker finally caught on. Actually, those games are pretty cool.
Oh Baby! I love me some SNES. Great List! I need to give Super Metroid a play through. I grew up with the NES and somehow missed Super Metroid. Thanks Dudes!
I don't have a lot of SNES games left from back then. I did hang on to about a dozen I couldn't bear to part with, Chrono Trigger and Batman & Robin among them. After moving and going through some boxes I found the manuals for both and the maps for Chrono Trigger. Way to go past me!
I didn't get an SNES until I was an adult, maybe 3 or 4 years ago. I still play more Sega Genesis, though, it's what i grew up with along with the NES and Gameboy.
I bought Sunset Riders at a flea market back in the early 2000's. I may have only paid $10-20 for a loose copy. I didn't know it is worth over $90 now.
Sometimes I settle for the cheaper Super Famicom version vs SNES release. I did that with Space Megaforce, known outside the US as Super Aleste, a great shmup. Great video, cheers!
SNES most expensive, let's goooo!...love these episodes..also did you boys give up drinking for monsters? You could review energy drinks also..that be cool
My most expensive SNES games are Hagane Final Fight Guy Pocky and Rocky 2 Harvest Moon Mega Man X3 Mega Man 7 Castlevania Dracula X Chrono Trigger Kirby Dreamland 3 Ogre Battle Final Fight 3 Pocky and Rocky Lufia II Mega Man X2 Soul Blazer and Robotrek I have all consoles and tons of games from 1980-Now what a life of gaming
All pretty solid games, I was kind of surprised some of them weren't all that pricey loose. My personal SNES collection sucks, but my younger brother's got a ton of good ones. My most expensive is StarFox CIB somewhere around the $65 mark, but one game I can think of out of his collection is a loose Harvest Moon. Those are apparently $360 right now. Back in the day he traded his copy of Pokemon Yellow to my friend for Harvest Moon in exchange. Neither one was worth anything really at the time, less than face value new.
You guys should give Iron Meat a look. Saw a review for it the other day and it looks like an awesome couch coop run and gun, with obvious Contra influences.
Many of these games are also available on the Super Famicom and are still affordable on that platform. As for "Sunset Riders", yes it is better on the SNES. The Genesis version was missing some of the levels; the SNES version was "gabagool" , an almost arcade perfect port. Cheers guys.
Super Metroid is my favorite SNES game. It is fun, challenging, and the music is awesome. Super Castlevania IV is amazing as well, I'd say its in my top 5 Castlevania games.
@@GamingOffTheGrid for 50k you should make a video on what it'd cost to convert your entire collection to digital. With an emphasis on the games you can't get digitally. I'm sure one of you has an excel spreadsheet with your entire catalog of games. Maybe put a price tag on what that conversion would cost. It would make an interesting video.
I modded my SNES to play Japanese Super Famicom games (just gotta remove two tabs in the cartridge slot), they are generally much cheaper than the US games, if Japanese dialog doesn't bother you or hinder game play.
awesome video guys!.So since the 24 hour live stream is coming up i got a few ideas for games you guys can play mario kart 8 deluxe a wrestling game one of the nfl street games and one of the nba street games
So I was interested at one time to purchase sunset riders. From what i found the sega version plays fine but is missing some levels. I think it goes for about half the price of the snes version. That’s all from memory though so I things could be different now. A little tip for anyone looking to buy super Metroid, if you don’t mind having an import, the Japanese version is fully playable in English even the intro and voice over in the beginning. There’s a text option in the menu that allows you to choose English or Japanese. I snagged a copy for about $30
I own Sunset Riders on Genesis, it is the inferior version of the game. It's good, it's still a lot of fun, and it's the version I played growing up (thanks to SEGA Channel). That being said the SNES version is graphically superior, plays better, and has better sound.
The first Final Fight came out RIGHT at the SNES's launch, whereas Streets of Rage came out two years after the Genesis launch. That meant the developers had a lot longer to work on their respective game. With that said, Final Fight still looks better than Streets of Rage's gritty scenes and smallish graphics and characters. I'll give the nod however to the music for Streets of Rage. However, if you REALLY want to do comparisons, just look at Final Fight on the SNES right after launch versus the fact that teh Genesis HAD no Final Fight , and not until the Sega CD debuted di the console even manage to have a Final Fight.
Nice titles! My top 10 Hagane: The Final Conflict Metal Warriors Castlevania: Dracula X E.V.O. - The Search for Eden R-Type 3 Ninja Gaiden Trilogy Final Fight 3/Mr. Nutz Space Megaforce Ninja Warriors Chrono Trigger
Sunset Rider, most of my friends love that game, we often play it together and have a lot of fun, same for Final Fight 3, a lot of fun, but while Lucia is supposed to be a Cop in that game, I don't think it's a wise choice for a Cop to be wearing that kind of outfit.... The most expensive games that I got here are Metal Warrior and Castlevania Dracula X, dead serious, the beatem up and fighting games had always been my type of games all the way back during the mid-90s, however the SNES games I mostly play are King of Dragons, Maximum Carnage ( Red Cartridge ), and naturally Sunset Rider.... How did you ended up ever getting Super Castlevania IV for that expensive ?? I got mine for around 80s CDN $$, no issue here, vintage console and games, no emulator... Don't ask me to get Hagane or Aeorofighter, the price is Unacceptable for my bank account...
I got a CRT recently and Super Metroid was the first game I played on it. I never played it back in the day. It blew my socks off. The game goes for ¥800 ish loose here ($5-6). As an aside, this is the first video I have watched in a bit and Robert is looking healthy. Student life treating you well? Keep up the good work guys!

I’m still butt hurt over Mom not letting me buy a used copy of Chrono Trigger for $10 from a clearance bin at the video rental store in 2002.
Please don't hold it against her she your mom u only get one Chrono trigger will be back one day in the future
Get a flash cart it’s back now 😂
What would you've done, if you knew back then, Chrono Trigger will be a top SNES game in the future? (I feel ya.. I would've been too...)

Wes is spot on with Demons Crest. It definitely was known as one of the first SNES hidden gems back in the early 2000s.
My most expensive game is R-Type 3. I have the box and cart. It's missing the manual.
