I noticed that it has these metal bars in it that hold the single DIN in place. Am I supposed to remove these? And if so, do they come out fairly easy? Edit: Actually, just looked more closely at when you were installing it and it looks like you have them too and just left them in.
I bought a double din kit and I saw on Amazon a double din with brackets you need a heat gun to reuse your air vents and the dumb nhump. This one has a flat top no hump. Your . Looks great it is $42.50 On Amazon I know they fit because I bought a 10" I monitor & installed it It looked great . But had issue so sent it back. But l thought the clips weren't right. It just fastened different Navigation DDin radio

I have Apple CarPlay in my 991.2 and it's worthless IMO and it sucks that the phone has to be plugged in. I never use it and instead just use the Bluetooth connection for phone and audio

A lot of hang ups on using your iPod phone. You should switch and save money everyday. My head unit is dead. I want to replace it but I am worried about losing some features. And a lot of modules seem to talk to the stock radio. My seat mod for example. I miss my caviler. Only 4 mods. No special features but nothing to break.
Dude video on speaker sizes and mounting depth please!!!! There has to be more than just the Kicker upgrades that fit. Crutchfield and Sonicelectronix are no help. There is literally like 1 video on a guy upgrading to kicker speakers. It would be cool if you have an audio store near you to see and measure different ones. i just have to blindly trust the numbers on the internet and hope that they fit. specially cuz there are no "midbass/one way" 6x9 speakers for your front door. either they're too big or they're 3 way speakers. i've been reading and searching for 2 weeks now.

FYI Crutchfield say the 2005 jeep grand cherokee has the wrong size front door speakers. It has 6x9.

I actually bought a bezel off ebay that is made for a Jeep with the Navi display. I then bought the brackets off amazon for a double din set

Apple CarPlay is availabe via Bluetooth, only the Alpine ILX-107 headunit can do it though.

Just keep your eye on them and make sure the boots are secure. I went with OEM for my CV replacement
