I have had all three Origin Series from Bardstown, my favorite is the original wheated bib, so very excited to get the high wheat whenever it comes into my area. As always, great review and light show!
The wheated BiB is a hitter. I haven't been actually excited by a new bourbon in a while before getting a bottle of the BiB. Crushable, not at all boring.
I wish they offered these cool 300ml to public, they come out with so much, it would be nice to kill a bottle or two before adding another one to the bar 😂
Great video and love the ending :-) cannot wait to find this and try it - I went there over the summer and they are a class act - makes me wonder what else is up their sleeve for the future!
I loved the White label and the Black label BiB Origins Series.... looks like there's yet another I will have to find! One of my favorite Bourbon brands. LOL! The Mash & Drum Rave Room!
Ohhhh! This is interesting! I sure wish we had BBC distributed here in Missouri. Guess this will force me to go back to the distillery in Louisville. Darn!
The OG BiB Origin wheater IS my all-time favorite sipper, but your description of the High Wheat steers me into Weller territory. I think it would indeed be a very interesting Double Bass
Seriously. I'm generally not into wheaters, but I love the black and tan label. I have a white label SiB that is stupid good for being 6 years old. Getting some age on this stuff is going to be next level.
Took a while before I finally found a bottle, but worth the wait, especially for the price. I like it better than their other two Origin bourbons, but still prefer their Origin Rye.
Great review as always! I'll have to pick this one up. I love the wheated BiB, the high-rye is decent, and I haven't tried the rye yet. Just a note... an error in the mashbill graphic at the 2:55 mark. It say 53% rye instead of corn. :)
man, I really hope this makes it to my area, since I really like wheaters. I don't see much Bardstown at all, unfortunately (I've never even seen their wheated BiB).

Same here.

the happiness on your face with the blinking lights was priceless!
And the Rave at the end! LOL!
Bardstown doing amazing things with bourbon. Absolutely love the Origin BIB damn good juice. Also, I cannot wait for Discovery 12 this fall. 🥃 👍🏻
I’ll be at the distillery next Friday for a tour, will have to pick this one up!
Appreciate the review. I definitely want to pick one up
LOL --- the light show makes the bottle memorable! I hope to find one of these soon! Cheers!
Steve was also the Master Distiller when Wyoming Whiskey first started! He is an absolute legend.
This vs. OWA vs. Maker's 101 sounds like the makings of a fantastic Triple Bass!
Definitely going to be looking out for this one.
Same
I tried this at 4 years old and Cask str straight from the barrel on the tour was phenomenal.
Great dance mix! Haha. Sounds interesting. I wanna try their rye too.
Highly recommend their rye. Definitely the standout of the origin series even at the slightly higher price.

I hope to see this when I visit Bardstown Bourbon in two weeks.
Looks good
I picked up a bottle today, the store sample was amazing. Can't wait to crack the bottle open and try a full pour!

Thanks for the review! Local store has it for 50.00 bucks might grab it tomorrow! Cheers!
Looking forward to trying it!

Definitely want to pick this one up. Big Bardstown fan.

Haven’t had the Sweet Wheat but I’m for sure going out for this one. Great review and dance club haha.
Just found this today, looking forward to a taste this evening.
LBP and WFP are my favorite wheaters. Looking forward to trying this one…
Ohhhh! This is interesting! I sure wish we had BBC distributed here in Missouri. Guess this will force me to go back to the distillery in Louisville. Darn!
Guess we all gotta go back to Louisville, oh well 🤷🏻♂️
Finally found a bottle of this in Florida, it's a banger and love it. If you can't Weller 107 this is a close second for me.
The Origin Series has been some great juice at great prices. Can’t wait to try the high wheat wheater. I’m sure it won’t disappoint.
Looking forward to this bottle. And love the “rave” at the end of the review! 🥃
At 2:58, the mash bill on the banner is wrong.
You need to compare this to Weller A107!
totally agree
I tried it against the Weller Full Proof and it held up and might have beaten it...and I love the Full Proof
The OG BiB Origin wheater IS my all-time favorite sipper, but your description of the High Wheat steers me into Weller territory. I think it would indeed be a very interesting Double Bass
Bardstown is killing it rn…. Just wait till their juice is 8-10 years old 😮
Seriously. I'm generally not into wheaters, but I love the black and tan label. I have a white label SiB that is stupid good for being 6 years old. Getting some age on this stuff is going to be next level.
Favorite wheated bourbon is definitely ASW Fiddler (Georgia Heartwood or toasted are both AMAZING)
Took a while before I finally found a bottle, but worth the wait, especially for the price. I like it better than their other two Origin bourbons, but still prefer their Origin Rye.
Amazing light show.
Got a bottle today for $55. It's pretty good on pallet, on nose has not opened for me yet. In overall really nice bourbon.

Thanks for that

Paul at Liquor Barn recommended this bottle as a Weller 107 replacement. Thoughts?
@@scottmagruder6907 yeah I did that comparison. I don't think it's as sweet as Weller yet but I do think it's a good alternative
I can’t wait to try this one
Bardstown cherry wood rye is spectacular.
I love whayter
Fancy sticks there😮🥰
Bottoms up ....
They should have put disco 11 in the disco box
Want to try it against Redemption Wheated which is one of my current favorite wheated bourbons
I’d like to try anything from Bardstown Origin series but it’s not available in my area 😢
Gotta visit kentucky
So is this a higher proof version of the Black Label Origin? If so I gotta get it!
Nevermind you answered my question
Would like to see this up against OWA
Heard anything about what the next Disco will be?
dance party for the win.
Well call that Buck ..
First graphic says 53% corn and then the banner under you reviewing it says 53% rye
@@mattcarter_2024 yeah I saw. My mistake
Not sure if i should grab one at 35.99 hmmmm
Heck yes
I'm real curious how this stands up to MGP 45% wheat mashbill.
Is this a wheated rye? The specs on the screen says 53% rye.
Typo in that graphic. You can see the actual mashbill earlier in the video
Corn or Rye?
@@chrispranis6308 corn
Ticker at bottom at 2:59 days 53% rye...not Corn. Just saying.
@@vicb8082 I know. My mistake
@@TheMashandDrum great vid man.
@@vicb8082 thanks man. Appreciate you
Damn, you didn’t do the final breakdown. I always skip to the end. lol
6 year bourbon for $50........??? Great deal.
New bourbon in 2024 at $50. Who knew?
Impossible
It's a sad state in the whisk(e)y world when $50 is gushed upon as such an affordable bottle.
Sweet Wheat being sought after makes no sense to me. It's not that good a bourbon.
Well ..like ...that's your opinion, man.
Lol in the words of Trump “that’s why restaurants have menus”. Some like steak (like most of us here) some like spaghetti (like yourself).
@@adamh9271 yeah, it's not that good. Standard Maker's Mark is a way better buy, so is Rebel and that's just sticking with wheaters.
